Today was my second time at Theory Salons, and I had such a great experience with Franchesca. I got a gloss, face-framing cut, and blowout. She was super sweet and gave me really helpful advice for my hair. She did an amazing job with the cut and was very precise, taking her time throughout the appointment. During the wash, she made sure all of the color was completely removed from my ears, forehead, and skin, which is something I've noticed other salons sometimes overlook. She also gave me the BEST scalp massage. 10/10 would recommend Franchesca. read more

I made an appointment here after looking for a new hair stylist. This is my 3rd time in the Orlando area looking for someone so I was pretty nervous. I found her through TikTok and wow she is amazing. Her name is Shelby and she's so good at her craft and super nice and funny. I don't like to gate-keep and really had to make this known. Dina is a magician! I haven't had my hair cut or colored by a stylist in 2 years. She took the time to listen to my concerns and my hair goals. I thought I had shorter, poor colored, and too damaged hair to be worked with. Not according to the genius Dina! She studied my hair, we looked at inspo pictures both from me and that we searched together, then she got to work. She recommend a mineral wash along with a purple shampoo to help with the tone. After a quick cut and the processing, she made my frump look insane. It was bouncy and voluminous. The color was also totally refreshed. I will go back to have her do my color because she totally understood my vision. I was going for a middle between kpop and Sabrina Carpenter while accentuating my features. Nailed it! I have salon anxiety and between Dina being so uplifting and the front desk girlie (sorry didn't catch her name) being so sweet and attentive, I will recommend this spot to anyone. They listen, they are patient, and they nailed the vision. The only downside is the salon chairs are made of a material that has hair stick to it, so you sit in other people's hair. The shampoo bowls/seats were the most comfortable I've ever experienced. They also have a drink bar with teas, sodas, ect. Very cute spot full of talent. read more

Theory Salon Mills 50 has a great vibe to it. When you go in there's a very stylish waiting room. I booked a cut and color consultation. My stylist Savannah gave me some great advice on both. I love that when you come to Theory Salon they send a detailed questionnaire up front so that you're coming in with inspiration and they already have your information up front. Savannah was very efficient with our time and the cut / color consultation went very quickly. She was really helpful with navigating quite a few ideas I came in with for color. I'm already looking forward to coming back to officially do the color! Compared to other high end hair salons, the experience is definitely fast. Previously my hair salon did aromatherapy along with the hair wash. However, I'd much rather have less extras and a better cut / color, which Theory provides! read more

Angeles is the absolute best , always has very welcoming energy and breaks down the process to ensuring I understand.

It pains me to give a low rating but I have sat and thought about it and feel it is warranted. I booked a service for a hair cut/style and it appears the stylist is quite busy and when you book it's usually a 3 month wait to get it. I will say that the stylist was friendly and explained the process on the Products and how to apply them and I liked that a lot. What I feel is just not right on a business end is when you book you have to pay $100 deposit. Which is non refundable. I'm fine with a deposit and understand one is needed to secure the time but to make it non refundable and at such a high amount seems like a cash grab to me. What if the stylist quits before my appt. Am I locked in to have to have someone else since the deposit isn't refundable? Also at the time I booked the stylist fee was $210. She increased the amount she charged to $285 and when I asked about it I was told the salon is making her charge the increased fee even though when I booked it was a lower price. Since my deposit was non refundable I felt obligated to pay the increased rate otherwise I would be out of $100 and a hair cut. I feel like with the price of the service that all of the equipment should be in working order also. I would not recommend this establishment just for the fact I feel the business practice of strong arming you into the chance of being charged more than what you agreed on at booking was shady. read more

I can't explain in words the sorcery hair stylist Taylor did to my hair but it's amazing! I have really thick long hair and I've always had bad experiences getting layers because I ended up looking like a mushroom but I decided to switch things up, splurge and go to a nice hair salon. I'm usually a great clips, super cuts kind of girl because I usually ask for one length haircut straight across. This time, I asked for layers and curtain bangs. Taylor took the time to explain the maintenance of curtain bangs and suggested another cut that would be more suited for my lifestyle. I let her guide the way as the expert. When I was done I had lovely wispy layers that blended seamlessly into my hair! She also styled it so perfectly with soft waves, I felt like a model. Other stylists before have given me thick choppy cut layers that looked bad. I never believed I could pull off layers because of my past experience but she truly knows what she is doing!! You've ruined my wallet because I can now never step foot into a great clips, etc. again after experiencing a really awesome haircut. Haha thank you! read more

Poor Service and outcome. Was a loyal client at this higher end, very expensive salon. Always tipped well and had a nice outcome. There was a bit of a communication struggle between what I wanted and the stylist's understanding, but the outcome was always nice. This last appt did not go well. There was a lack of knowledge and expertise on the stylists part and I ended up with something completely different than I asked for. Including my main request, which is to cover my grey. I ended up with grey roots and brown hair instead of my typical blonde hair and root touch up. The stylist was embarrassed and admitted it was not how she wanted it to turn out and said she'd do anything to fix it. We made an appt for the next day and she said to text her later to work out details. Well, I never heard from her again. The next morning her manager called me 2 hours before my appt (which is an hour away) and told me Alicia would no longer be seeing me as a client, and it was no one's fault. There was just miscommunication on MY end from the start, so putting the blame on me. The one nice thing to acknowledge the mistake was they didn't charge me for the appt. She said I could work with someone else in the salon (at full price), which I will not do, because if this is how they manage their stylists mistakes, I will not go back period. Highly disappointed by the immaturity and poor client service of this salon. Do not recommend. read more

As someone who lives in Kissimmee, getting to this salon is a bit of a hike but it's totally worth the drive! the moment you walk in, you're greeted warmly by the staff and brought into the world haute hair care! The layout and design of the salon made me feel like I was in a top salon in Beverly Hills or Manhattan and the products on display were amazing (Keraste, Olaplex, AND Oribe?? hello??). Don't even get me started on their drink selection! My colorist whom I followed over from Alchemy (another great salon), Krisi, is absolutely phenomenal. She was able to turn me from a dark-haired brunette wall-flower into a Madonna-esque vivacious blonde! She's knowledgeable about which products are best for your hair as well as which make-up brands work best for your skin type. I cannot recommend Krisi or this salon enough! read more
