They have complimentary bread service with 3 delicious offerings to put on bread. Our server was attentive and had good recommendations. We ordered the octopus (DO NOT miss this one! Probably some of the best I have ever had!), the fattoush salad, though simple is incredibly delicious and well balanced. Highly recommend as well. For mains I got the short rib which was delicious- though not life changing and husband ordered risotto with artichoke which was spectacular. Dessert truthfully was a bit of a throwaway. We got the Basque pistachio cheesecake. I love a Basque cheesecake which is meant to be light and fluffy souffle like. This was not that. It was a mediocre standard cheesecake. Would definitely go back but probably would skip dessert in the future. All in all, Aris is worth your time and money. We were blown away by this awesome western saloon gem, from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty thanks to Cierra! From the saddles hanging on the wall, to saloon doors in the bathroom, beautiful black-and-white photos of old Texas, the attention to detail is outstanding! It's worth the drive to Menard to hang out in this very special place, make sure you stop by and say hi to Cierra! She was the best part of our lunch- above and beyond service!
