FWIW; I lived in Texas for 38 years but I'm now retired, living on my GrandPaw's old homeplace, (farm) in south Alabama. Last month I went to the Houston (NASA) area then on to Midland to see my daughter and I stopped off at Larry's for coffee N breakfast about 6 AM. I met my buddy there and noticed that one of the regulars was having a big ole bowl on Menudo so I knew I had to have some. Normally I wouldn't get this for breakfast but I get it so seldom, I have to take it when I can get it. And I'm sure glad I did, a big bowl of authentic Menudo cooked by a nice Hispanic lady. Served with flour tortilla's, jalapeno's, cilantro and lime. I can highly recommend it. Also I really enjoyed talking with the locals about the things going on in their small ranching community. I can't wait to go back.
