Me encantó comer aquí! Buena comida aquí y servicio. I loved coming here. Great food and service.

Pork and beef meat combo set with the 3-soup-base combo.

The food and service were excellent. The food selections were fresh, the hotpot broths were flavorful, and the sauce/snack bar was well stocked! Service was courteous and quick! We'll be coming back! Tip: The spicy broth gets spicier over time, so this is good to take into account when picking your spice level.

I went on a Wednesday night and there was absolutely no wait, which I really appreciated. We got the mushroom broth and the tomato-based soup. I will say, the lean beef and marble beef were both very fresh and really tasty. We also got enoki mushrooms, lettuce, quail eggs, and fried tofu balls. Everything overall tasted really good, and the snow bunny dessert was absolutely delicious. The interior was beautiful, the design of the restaurant was really nice, and everybody working there was very sweet and welcoming. I will say the broth itself was a little lacking in flavor, but the sauce bar definitely made up for it. My only real complaint is that for the price, I expected a bigger self-serve area and more vegetables or larger portions, especially for things like the enoki mushrooms and quail eggs.

Went to Chengdu Memory for hot pot on a weeknight and overall had a really good experience! The restaurant itself is super cute inside; it has a modern meets traditional vibe with a more upscale feel than your average hot pot spot. Everything felt clean, and well put together. The food was good and the meat quality was solid. We ordered everything à la carte, which gives you flexibility, but it can definitely add up fast . One thing that caught me off guard was that they even charge $2.98 for the sauce bar which felt a little excessive considering most hot pot places includes it. That said, the staff was really attentive throughout the meal and service was smooth the whole. It was still a fun experience and I'd come back again for the atmosphere and quality.

Overall an enjoyable experience, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Comparable to the Seattle location, but the broth was saltier here. The meat ring was as beautiful as ever, but the quality of meat was okay. The meat was also cut a lot thinner, so the meat fell apart when picked up. Vegetables were fresh! I recommend the Cumin Lamb skewers too. Really delicious! The restaurant is really small, so I wouldn't recommend bring large parties here. However, it looks fun for birthdays! Desserts are miss here... I would not get those...

When I showed this newly opened location to my friend in Seattle, he recommended I should go try it out! They first opened in Seattle before opening their second location in Fremont, and he said it was one of his favorite hot spot locations. So a couple of us local to the Bay came here one Sunday to try it out. They open at 12 pm, but I dropped my boyfriend off at the restaurant about 10-15 mins before opening while I picked up my friend nearby, as we worried about the lunch rush. When we came back just before 12 pm, there was already a sizeable crowd inside with no clear line formation. Fortunately, an employee did ask "Who arrived first?" and proceeded to seat people in a first come, first serve fashion. Ordering was done off the iPad on the table. We got a variety of meats, veggies, and noodles to share. The combo meat ring platters were reasonably priced & plenty of meat available to share! We're weak with spice, so we got the pork bone broth to share, which was really flavorful! Everything came out relatively quickly, and there was plenty of space to store extra plates, between the cart next to your table and the 2-tier stand on the table. The only key negative was the sauce bar. When everyone arrives & seats at roughly the same time, everyone will subsequently flock to the sauce bar at about the same time. As we were seated by the sauces, we easily saw the line creep up, eventually extending all the way to one of the walls of the shop. The sauce bar layout didn't allow multiple people to get sauce simultaneously, and people were standing in line for up to 10 mins just to get some sauce! We were offput by the line and thought it would die down in maybe 30 mins - this line perhaps stayed this long for almost hour since opening! Eeesh. The line did die down eventually, but at that point, we were pretty much done eating. Otherwise, the quality of the meats and veggies were very good. Definitely worth the money and the quality seemed as good as Haidilao, but at a fraction of the price!

Came in on a Thursday afternoon, no wait time . We got the 1/2 spicy (mild) 1/2 bone broth (non spicy), mind you the 'mild' was like a numbing spice that packs a mean punch so be wary . The service was good, the food was great . Dessert though was pretty artificial tasting in my opinion which knocks down a star but if you're into that type of flavor than you'll love it .

I was super excited to try Chengdu Memory after hearing all about its glory from a food influencer in Seattle. Unfortunately, it was a let-down. After we got seated at our table, there was zero communication from anyone about how to order. There was a locked ipad on the cart that we had to rummage through to find the ordering platform. Also, not sure if it was correct, but the golden fish and chicken soup base was listed as $88 to get as a singular broth and over $50 as a secondary.. kind of absurd for just a soup base. Thus, we opted for the sichuan beef tallow + pork bone broth. The sichuan broth was good; no complaints. I wouldn't recommend getting the pork bone broth though as it tasted unusually porky -- like overboard. I noticed the same with the pork belly slices as well. I love taro so we decided to try the braised taro dish and did not like it. It just tasted like straight up mush with nonexistent taro flavor; we didn't finish it nor wanted to take it home. The meat platter ring does come with a good amount of meat at a fair value, but ultimately the quality does reflect the cost. Overall, I'd rather go elsewhere to get Sichuan hotpot. Perhaps it's better in Seattle?

Trendy new hotpot spot in Fremont!! Be prepared for a wait, but it's SO worth it. You can order items off the menu for a set portion of each--portion sizes are fairly generous. They even have a lean beef and lamb selection, which is perfect if you're looking to save a few calories. The presentation of some items is really impressive, like the meatball tower, raw fish, and skewers. I would also recommend the sweet potato glass noodles, fish tofu, and napa. Great selection of complimentary side dishes, like pork trotters and cucumber salad, as well as snack freebies in the waiting area. This is the most impressive hot pot restaurant I've been to!! Amazing experience here and will definitely be back.

Very authentic and spicy hot pot!!! We got the spiciest level of their signature tallow broth and it was full of flavor. Each ingredient was coated in a rich mala beef oil. I'd recommend the meat ring with half beef half lamb. I think it was around $25 but it was good enough for me and my parents. Of course we ordered some other side ingredients to fill us up. Overall, the broths here definitely stand out. The wait was ridiculous on a Saturday night. We waited about 90 minutes... Got there at 7:30 and started eating around 9PM. I DO NOT think it's worth that wait at all. If you like spicy & mala, this spot is a great authentic choice. The sauce bar was great and loaded up w side dishes as well. Great service; place was also huge!! So many knickknacks like hair ties, clothing spray, mouthwash, etc in the restaurant, which makes it reminiscent of Haidilao.

Best hot pot we've had in a long time! The Chengdu spicy broth is super flavorful! Definitely try the 3 flavor broth for the best variety. The snow ice dessert is also super cute and fun to end the meal!

AMAZING SERVICE. We came here spontaneously on a Sunday night after randomly deciding that we wanted to get hotpot. We went to one place, but after learning they only allow 1-1.5 hour of dining, we decided to leave and come here. The freebies by the front desk while waiting to be seated was great! While we waited for about 15 minutes, there were a few snacks, and free hairties and dental flosses. Once we were seated, we decided to split our pot into two soups: pork bone broth, and tomato. Both were solid soups. For meat, we went for the keto beef and lamb. The giant ring of meat was enough for two people, especially with all the extras we got from the sauce/appetizer/dessert station. They charge extra for the sauce, appetizer, and dessert station, which didn't have a whole lot of selections, but it was worth the extra charge. I got to also enjoy chicken feet, pig trotters, and for dessert, the mung bean soup, eight treasure soup (with purple rice and red bean!), and snow fungus soup were fantastic offerings! They only opened a few weeks ago. We were so impressed with how courteous the staff was to us, the presentation of the food, and the beautiful and clean ambience with Chinese decor.

Their soup bases are so good and the service was even better! The combo meat is such a good deal and definitely is good enough for 2-3 people. There's a ton of tables inside and was pretty busy on a Sunday night, but we got seated and served quickly. Recommend getting the milk tea (w/unli refills) it helps with the spicy broth.

There was a lot of open seating so we sat down pretty immediately. We decided to get the two half broth: Cantonese bone broth and mushroom broth. Both broths were very good and fragrant. I enjoyed drinking it. We were given a QR code to scan and order. I was pretty disappointed that there weren't many options to pick from and out of the ones that were on the menu, a lot of them were grayed out. The prices seemed fair initially until the food arrived. The proportions were incredibly little. The angus beef only had 5 slices (though big, you can eat it in one bite). While nothing tasted bad, the value and options made the experience very underwhelming for a whopping $75 for two people. They charge almost $20 for the broth too which I think is unreasonable. Unfortunately I don't think I'd come back even though everything tasted great due to the price point when I can go to a similar restaurant and get more for my value with similar/about-the-same taste

Ordering was easy, you scan a QR code and place your order directly from your phone. It's AYCE hot pot, though there are some items and specialty broths that come with an additional charge. Only a few broths are included in the base price, and certain sides also cost extra, which slightly defeats the purpose of "all-you-can-eat." Just something to be aware of when ordering. There's a small self-serve salad and sauce bar, and the night we visited they also had a beef out, which was a nice touch. A little taste before our main dishes came out For broths, we ordered the Tom Yum, a bone broth, and one of the spicy broths (the first one listed on the menu) for an additional charge. The broths were incredibly flavorful when they first came out. But, after a few refills, they definitely lost some depth. The Tom Yum in particular was soo good. I dont think I've tasted a better Tom Yum at a hot pot place before - only thing is it had lime rinds in it presumably to keep the tangy flavor that Tom Yum typically has but over time the broth turned slightly bitter from the rind. Pro tip: if you order Tom Yum, scoop the lime out early to avoid that bitterness. The meat quality was excellent -- tender, fresh, and really the highlight of the meal. No complaints there at all. Service, was quite slow for a weekday. There appeared to be only one server managing about four tables, including ours. We went through two to three rounds of meat before any of our sides arrived. Overall, the pricing felt fair for the quality of the meat and the experience. Despite a few hiccups, I'd come back.

I ordered the Tom Yum broth for the hot pot, which is my go-to, and it did not disappoint. It had a nice balance of tangy and savory flavors and paired well with the ingredients. For the BBQ, I noticed that the marinades and flavors were more bold and intense compared to other places I've been to. It's definitely a bit different from the typical KBBQ spots, but in a good way if you're looking to try something new. Overall, I left very full and satisfied. I'm surprised it isn't talked about more because I was honestly really impressed during my visit! The biggest standout for me was the barbecue. The meats tasted noticeably different from other AYCE spots I've tried, and I'm almost certain it comes down to the marinade. The flavor was deeper and more balanced, and it didn't have that overly salty or generic taste that some AYCE places can have. Everything felt well seasoned and intentional, and you can really taste the difference. The meats were tender and cooked beautifully on the grill! The hot pot was also enjoyable and added another layer to the meal. We ordered both the tom yum and miso soup bases, which paired well with the ingredients we chose. There was also a good selection of sides and add ons that helped round out the whole experience so it didn't feel repetitive. It's on a conveyor belt too! Another thing I appreciated was the service. The employees were very nice and attentive, always checking in to make sure we had what we needed and clearing plates quickly so the table never felt crowded. Overall this was a really solid experience and definitely a place I would come back to if I'm craving both hot pot and barbecue in one meal.

Even though there were 5-6 employees gathered at the register area when we came in, it took over 10 minutes for them to take our order, and even then we had to flag someone down to do so. The server who took our order, Mary, came off as very disinterested and standoffish, and did not interact with us for the rest of the meal. I also witnessed her "pretending" to do work by "helping" other people clean tables. She would literally follow other servers around and grab two pieces of trash after they cleaned most of the table instead of engaging with other customers. During the 45 minutes that we were dining, not a single server came to refill our water, hot soup, or turn off our fire. We had to flag down someone multiple times while the other servers were standing around on their phones or doing random tasks. I witnessed several servers doing things such as prefilling future customers water cups and sweeping the already clean floors instead of engaging with any of their current customers. At one point, I even had to walk to the front counter to grab my own water refills, which is completely ridiculous when there are 5-6 available employees. After the meal, I asked to speak to the supervisor to state my complaints and was told that the employees were busy doing "side tasks" since it was rush hour. However, it was currently 3:30 PM at the time. What restaurant has a rush hour at 3:30 PM? Furthermore, if there are at least 5-6 employees, there should be at least one employee designated to serving their current customers instead of doing "side tasks." The only redemption for this restaurant was that the hot pot itself was delicious, but however seeing that it is a chain restaurant, that should be the expected bare minimum. This was the worst service I have ever experienced and I will never be returning to this specific BP location.
