Yay! Finally got to try Haidilao after SO long. I have always tried the instant hotpot kits and soup broth kits at home, it's nice to have finally gotten the chance to try it. Parking is very doable! It's located in a corner of a big plaza. Once you walk in, you are greeted by the friendly staff and seated immediately if available spots are open. It's pretty spacious inside, it never feels like you have to squeeze past tables. It's very well maintained, everything is clean and it looks so cute inside with little decor everywhere! They seem to have a lot of promos depending on the days you go, but mostly for lunchtime on weekdays I believe. The pricing can be a little steep for certain items but honestly i still think it's decently priced for the most part. You pay separately for the salad bar and the soup broths are charged individually. The order process is easy, you order off a tablet but the staff will guide you through ordering and everything on your first visit. The staff is super attentive so your table is always clean and they will go over special item orders and when to best enjoy them based on cooking times. Overall, if you head to Haidilao, you are heading in for a good time. The food is great, services is great, and the atmosphere is very comforting . A fun place to visit with a small group or even by yourself if you're hungry enough :)

NOMd: seriously tried so much but my favs were the spicy pork broth, sweet potato glass noodles and the beef skewers.... those beef skewers are a MUST. we literally got 6 orders which still wasn't enough. service, etc.: we went for a birthday and they really go all out here with the decor, photo opps and goodie bag. the dancing noodles are super fun and cute too and tasted so fresh and good. i wish they had at least one extra large table to accommodate larger parties though we were super crammed with the 9 of us.

The lunch combo was a great deal! For $27 you get protein, veggie or mushroom or tofu, side dish and carb, and soup base. Senior discount available at $20 for the same combo. You still have to pay $4 per person for the sauce / salad bar. You can opt out if you are okay eating without the sauces. Service has always been attentive at this place. You still get an apron but now it has changed to paper apron. Everything else is pretty much the same from when this place first opened its doors at the Fremont location. There is also a late night happy hour special where most dishes are 31% off. It's easy to overorder when there is a discount so watch out for that. So far Haidilao has been my favorite place for hot pot, and I cannot wait for more Haidilao in other Bay Area locations such as Serramonte.

We come here whenever the hot pot cravings strike! There aren't any hot pot places closer to us so we make the 35+ minute drive. Today we came for a birthday celebration. We tried a soup base we haven't tried before (fish maw and chicken) and it was so good! I would definitely have it again in the future. Our server was Ming and she was so expedient. When she saw that I clumsily spilled my drink, she was there with napkins, a wet wipe, and a new drink. She honored my request to have a quiet birthday celebration and gave me a little gift. Thanks Ming and the HDL staff!

Came here for a birthday dinner (adult) and keep in mind this is a review for summertime. Parking in the mall area was easy. We were seated outside and it was hot. Unfortunately, the air they have setup outdoors does not cool you down. Between the spicy soup and spicy sauce I ate, I was definitely feeling the heat. I recommend sitting indoors if you can get that reservation. Food was good and we had soju (order one at a time or it gets warm), we ordered rib eye, lamb, vegetables, and up to 4 different soups bases. The robot servers were cool and if you mention the secret phrases they do give you a freebie for the table not per person. Dessert was ube or vanilla ice cream. They sang happy birthday and we ordered the hand pulled noodles which came with a noodle dance show. They also sang happy birthday and gave the birthday girl a matcha cheesecake. It was fun and we all enjoyed the food.

We came here for an after work gathering, and everyone had a great time! The last time I visited this restaurant was probably back in 2023, so it was nice to be back. We had a reservation and were seated quickly upon arrival. We chose four different broth bases, and all of them were flavorful. We ordered plenty of food along with a few pitchers of beer. They offered a wide selection of meats and hot pot ingredients, so there was something for everyone in our group. We also got to enjoy the face changing mask performance and the noodle dance! Highly recommended!

Great food and service, but be prepared for a long wait. We were seated after an hour on the waitlist. The soups (tomato and spicy pork) were delicious and served quickly, however our hotpot food items took nearly 45 minutes to be served. We were so hungry and drank a lot of soup while waiting for our food. LOL The waiter told us their kitchen was too busy, he was sorry for the long wait and offer us dessert. We also had to remind them on a missing fish fillet. The staff apologized again and offered a $5 discount. At the end of the meal, we checked the bill and found out the $5 discount was not there and they charged us for open sauce fee which we didn't order, and there was another 15 minutes wait to get our bill corrected. Total dining time was 2.5 hours + 1 hour waitlist time, record breaking for us. Never had hotpot meal taking this long.

Truly the best place for a birthday celebration! They aways go above and beyond to make the evening special. We ordered the following and highly recommend this combo! - 4 types of soup bases. Tomato soup base, pork bone broth, spicy beef soup base, tangy passion fruit soup base. I loved the tomato and tangy passion fruit! So flavorful. - Wagyu beef tower. Just dip for 10 seconds and you'll get it perfectly cooked. - Seafood platter. They give you quite a lot! - Dancing noodles. Always so fun! They let you select the song, so I chose Swim by BTS ;) - Mixed vegetable platter. Always a good addition. - Mushroom platter. Love this and would get it every time. - Tri-color vegetable noodles. Remember to not overcook! - Seasoning buffet. A must. So many side dishes and dessert options. Snacks too! The snacks are too good. Get your secret codes ready for more free stuff! We also got a kids meal because we have a baby.

Heard this was a popular place so decided to try it out and see for myself! Right away, as we go to the entrance, we see a cart of snacks and drinks. Gave me a good impression. Thought that was a nice gesture for those people waiting for their table. We were seated right away and there was no line for a Friday night. Once we were seated, we were given a bib/apron, hair tie, snacks, and wet naps. Thought that was a nice touch. I use the restroom and they have complimentary mouthwash and feminine products. Thought that was nice too. My friends and I ordered four meat dishes and tripe initially, just to see how much we could eat. The meats were good. The tripe was okay. The soup was good. Ordered the pork bone broth. But sadly to say, after spending $130 (before tax and tip) on just those items, we were still hungry. We decided not to order anymore food and just go somewhere else to satisfy our hunger. I left disappointed. If you want to be entertained, then yes, they had this man in a mask dancing when we arrived. They also have a noodle dancing guy. They also celebrate birthdays.

The service was poor and I did not leave satisfied. Our drink didn't arrive until midway through our meal, and I'm baffled by the lack of service especially considering the restaurant uses a robot delivery system for extra assistance. Even after ordering about $130 worth of meats, sides, and a single drink for two people, we were both still hungry by the end of the meal.. The biggest issue was the value. For the price we paid, the quality and portions simply didn't justify the cost. One thing that they do well is the decor which seems tailored to families with young children.

We came here for a birthday and the service is really exceptional. Our server was really attentive and constantly made sure we were taken care of and even came out with some birthday goodies and had a dessert too. The ambience is nice and the space is very big. Now my honest review on the food, it's good, but severely overpriced, you really do pay for the service. I don't personally think it's significantly better quality wise to justify the price tag, imo , you might as well go to AYCE for the same price, actually for far less. Having to pay for sauce bar, and each soup base, it adds up quick. They do have some late night happy hour offers, but other than that, it doesn't really stand out. We enjoyed our time and experience here, but likely will stick with AYCE.

    Hayden L.

Hot Pot is always fun! And this is a lively ambiance and the service is really good. Warning: The Spicy broth has a LOT of chili oil floating on top. Make sure to stir it before serving as a member of my party took a big sip of the oil at first and it made her throat close up. The food is good yet the portions are small and the prices are very high. The bill was $200 for 4 people and we were all still bit hungry after.

    Jenny B.

I love going to Haidilao when I'm craving hot pot. It's always an experience since the ambiance here doesn't compare to other hot pot spots. I love getting their mushroom and tomato base and honestly all of their choices are delicious and tasteful. The host and servers we had were very attentive and checked in on us often.

I would not come here if you can't handle spice because it is SPICY. I personally love numbing, tingly foods so I will always order with extra numbing oil. My favorite dishes are the grilled intestines, grilled spicy fish, and green pepper oil chicken. Sadly they removed the intestines from the menu. It's always packed and hot inside the restaurant. The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.

Pearl Bay has high ceilings and a gigantic screen, and it seems like a lot of wedding banquets take place here. They have a hot deal weekday special that's $488 for a table of 10-12, and it was a lot of food. I think they limit it to a few tables a night. Service was not bad - they refilled ice water multiple times, which was surprising for a Chinese restaurant. That said, it would have been nice if they had actually announced what dishes we were getting. The menu included: - Chicken soup - Stir fried beef with vegetables - Cold marinated chicken and geoduck - Fish maw with pea sprouts and shiitakes - Fried egg tofu - Steamed fish - Twin lobsters with vermicelli - Suckling pig with steamed buns - Fried rice The highlight was the fish roe fried rice: great texture and flavor. Other things were variable in flavor. For example, the lobster was good, but the vermicelli texture and flavor were lacking. The banquet menu we got was good value and was more than enough food. I am definitely interested in trying their weekend dim sum.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt.
