I've been seeing Dr. Chen for years as have my sons. I wouldn't go anywhere else and certainly could with an overabundance of dentists in this valley. Dr. Chen is competent, honest and professional. And his prices are fair and reasonable. Office is both modern and immaculate. Respectful, courteous staff. Dr. Chen and his staff are very good with my 50 yr. old son who has autism. He's very comfortable with going to see Dr. Chen. If you fear dentistry, give him a try. He'll restore your oral health in a gentle, yet thorough way. read more

Chen is a good dentist, but I worry that every appointment there seems to someone new doing training. They don't seem to know what they have in stock and need to not discuss this while working on patients. I won't go when Chen is not there as his fill-ins are rookies and only open 4 days a week. The staff is friendly and they let you know your portion before hand. Clean place and they make crowns right there in the office. read more

It's too bad that they have changed their business practices. Now, they call you one to three days before your appointment at around 9AM and if you don't answer they leave a threatening message stating that if you don't call them back by 2:30PM that same day they will cancel your appointment!! I understand if you are a habitual no show client; however, I had NEVER missed any of appointments there. I didn't hear the voicemail message that was left for me until close to 5PM when I was off and they had cancelled my appointment!!! I had already asked for time off work for this appointment 6 months prior and was very upset that they would do something like this!I told the staff member to check my chart to see that I had never missed an appointment in the past and she said pretty much that she can see that: however, regardless, this is how Dr Chen wants them to run the office. I have never had anything like this happen to me before anywhere else. Maybe they can charge people if they miss an appointment, but to just cancel them when you don't hear from them for 5 hours after they've planned and counted on the appointment for months is just ridiculous to me. Some people work and various hours and are not always available in the time frame they are giving. I will not be returning here and warn others about my horrible experience here any chance I get! read more

My prior dentist was ok, but after awhile I decided to look for better care. I am so happy I switched! Dr. Chen is by far the best dentist my family has ever seen. He has a beautiful, state-of-the-art, super clean office. His staff are always friendly and professional. From my first appointment they have treated me like I have been a long-time patient. Dr. Chen practices very gentle, precise dentistry. He has a method of administering the anesthetic without that disgusting swab of a local numbing agent. I never even feel a pinch or the needle! I don't know how he does it, as other dentists hurt even with their pre-numbing medicine. Dr. Chen and his assistants always make sure you are happy and comfortable. He has performed fillings, root canals and extractions for me and my family. He made a permanent crown in his office for me last week and it fit perfectly. We have been extremely happy with his practice in every aspect. read more

My husband needed urgent dental care but has not seen any local dentist before, so we quickly had to find one that accepted our insurance. I called Dr. Chen's clinic and their receptionist was quite pleasant and understanding and she accommodated my husband for an appointment that very day. The clinic is tastefully furnished and comfortable, with a tv and lots of magazines in the waiting room. Dr. Chen, according to my husband, was cool and explained to him clearly the procedures that needed to be done, while considering the cost to the patient. read more

So I had been putting off going to the dentist for a really long time,, and with my new insurance I wasn't sure what office I wanted to try out. I had gone to Dr. Chen a while back, so I decided to give his new office a try and I LOVED it. Everyone that works there is so nice from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. I literally called to see when I could go in and I was able to come in that day and actually get some work done. The dental assistant was super nice and made me feel like we had known each other already! I was looking for a new dentist and was referred by Dr. Hoybjerg. I enjoy going to Dr. Chen's office. He is a great dentist. He cares about his patients. His staff at the office are friendly and kind. I went to see Dr. Chen for two crowns and teeth cleaning. Thanks for treating my husband and me. I also enjoyed the Christmas card. If I could give no stars I would. I started going here in 2015 and stopped in 2017. During the time I went here I had 3 root canals completed. Fast forward to 2018, I had to go to a specialist, Dr. Less in Turlock, to have all 3 redone. Dr. Chen did not complete the root canal all the way only going up half of the way. He did not use the proper mouth guards which I had no idea about until I went to Dr. Less' office and seen how a root canal should properly be performed. Not using the mouth guard resulted in chemicals running into my throat and multiple time the hygenist would leave the suction in my cheek hurting the rest of my teeth. He also dropped the tool while taking out my wisdom teeth on my two front bottom teeth giving then fracture lines. This dentist is slightly better than western dental and that isn't saying much. Waste of money and waste of time and unneeded pain. I am still dealing with the issues from Dr Chen at my current dentist trying to fix his mistakes. I would not recommend this dentist at all. I have double coverage and they still tried to charge me, when I questioned it then they would say oh your right and make an excuse about missing it being busy. Every time. I would rather have my tooth pulled than go back here for a fix. read more

Best customer service ever. We live 1.5 hours away and make the drive cause Dr. Chen and his office staff are so great. I have bad teeth and Dr. Chen has worked wonders. OMG!!! This is definitely the place you want to come for your dental needs! I came here with a tooth ache last week and was not a patient here as of yet. The entire staff was so incredibly nice and super attentive. I was taken care of that same morning from being a walk-in. No appt. No history here. Nothing. The dentist is AMAZING AND VERY NICE AND GENTLE. This place is immaculate. Very Zen. The dentist and assistants educate you on proper oral hygiene and have you watch videos on dental health. Nothing crazy or boring. Super quick, informative, and precise. About a minute or so. I really love it here. I'm extremely terrified of dentists and put off my wisdom and broken tooth pain because of it but I woke up with unbearable pain and they were the first dentist open that early I've never seen them prior but they helped me with my insurance and saw me as quickly as possible and had no anxiety it was amazing the staff is beyond amazing and attentive the office is immaculately clean I would highly recommend them read more

I had not been to the dentist in over a year and was looking for a good dentist that was close to work in Ceres. I started asking my coworkers and a majority of them kept recommending this place. I decided to take a chance and scheduled an appointment and let me tell you I am glad I listen to recommendations because this place was very welcoming! I was greeted right away when I walked in and had to fill out the normal first time patient paperwork. Once the paperwork was done, I was called to the back within minutes. The staff here is really nice and not pushy or moody like some places I have been. They were very accommodating and respectful to my needs. I felt more like a friend than simply another patient. The Dentist, Mr. Chen was very nice as well and easy to deal with. He did not make me feel stupid for not coming in a year but instead started the conversation off with a positive, No cavities and then proceeded to inform me on some tips to further address some minor issues. I can say without I doubt I will be recommending this place to friends and family and will be returning soon to have my wisdom teeth out and know I am in good hands. read more
