She kept saying that my insurance will not pay for the consultation, though I told her that my insurance is not for calendar year but for academic year. After I requested her bill the estimate with the insurance, she became impatient and asked whether I would like to cancel the appointment. She can just bill the estimate with the insurance but she did not. I admit that I just found that this dentist was also recommended by my former endodontist,- Royeen Nesari, who lost in our recent small claim lawsuit for his dismissal mid-treatment. So, given my past terrible experience with Dr Nesari, their close ties and the receptionist's refusal to bill the insurance, I think that they are just trying to hide something from the insurance company, to protect their dentist community, even though the judge has already ruled against Dr Royeen Nesari and then Dr Nesari sent me attorney letters after losing our lawsuit!

I just wanted to know the cause so we could fix it and she was so outright mean that I told her I didnt want her to bill my correct insurance and restart the process just based on this call. It was honestly the worst customer service I can remember ever having which is too bad because Dr. Les is great.

The dental assistant Jessica was amazing but as for the "endodontist" that's a hard no. I thought…read moreif you study a speciality beyond just general dentistry then the expectation is you should know what you're doing but the dentist made me feel very uncomfortable by appearing unsure of if he'd be able to complete a root canal which made me unsure if I want an unsure questionable root canal not provided with more confidence. Also, I'm not a doctor but I am a LMFT who's worked in the psych world for 20 years. Because of the meds I take, that I'm aware of a low to no risk of a negative drug interaction and quite frankly, I'm prescribed by my prior general dentists to minimize my anxiety about going to the dentist...and then a specialist who first said he would prescribe something and I could come back the next day except he than felt uncomfortable prescribing because of what I take. The endodontist I ultimately went with who I've seen in the past who is out of network (so I paid a lot more) was accommodating and confident. He did prescribe the medication and I asked are there any negative interactions between my meds and what he was giving me and he said exactly what I said to the geer endodontist which was there is no worry as the meds fall under different drug classes that are often prescribed together as a combination because they do not counteract each other. So, the uncertainty and someone who's uncomfortable prescribing a medication he initially said he would then wouldn't because he doesn't have licenses and certifications to do so or just doesn't understand the low to no risk for contraindications according to medicinal guidelines should be categorized as not a specialist in my opinion. I'd give 1 star but Jessica deserves an added star.

I told the Dr. I get so anxious going to the dentist so he prescribed me something to help and gave me head phones to wear with music playing. I actually dozed off while he was working on my tooth, no pain at all. If I could give him 10 stars I would. Such a nice office. I will definitely recommend this office to family and friends.

I have to share that I was/am with this "Dental Group" because DR Mary joined with my previous…read moreDentist and I sort of just continued after my Dentist eventually retired. A few years back I was in the Waiting area to see my Dentist when I got to experience my first contact with DR Mary and how she approach two young girls (probably new patients), it was truly a very sweet communication between the three of them with the girl's Mom just sitting by...DR Mary just relaxed in the room and spoke with the girls, explaining that yes this could be a scary experience but SHE would do every thing in her control to make it OK (DR Mary was SO kind and very patient with their questions and concerns)! So now, I am back for a not so wonderful time myself since this passed Saturday I had a "Crown" come loose (thankfully, I was able to save the crown without damaging or swallowing it). Contacted the Dental Office first thing Monday morning (yesterday), and they were able "Fit" me in. I am definitely not a fan of ANY dental work or procedures but once again I got to experience DR Mary (and her Staff), their incredible Service of care and patience. Once I was seated, DR Mary's Staff Member was trying to help me but I was not able to handle the tooth's clean-up and preparation (just a "Joann" thing), for the Crown to be put back on. So, DR Mary came in and explained what needed to be done and without pressure or rush, let me decide how to take care of this my way! WOW, truly there was NO pressure or RUSH to for me to decide how to handle it at my comfort level...remembering, I came in without an appointment and on a Monday! This was Monday following a Thanksgiving Weekend and they still found a way to get me in and help me with my unfortunate situation, took their time to let me handle my anxiousness of the whole procedure and I left a lot better than when I first got there and my Crown in tack! I just wanted to share a "Good/Great" experience at a Dental Office verses so many of us that have not SO good or unpleasant ones. I am very thankful for DR Mary and ALL the Staff, how they treated and took care of me...do have to say and pray that my next visit will hopefully be as good but be it just a routine cleaning the "Lord Willing"!

Dr. Vandersloot was able to combine these into a single visit, which was a huge convenience for my schedule. His surgical technique was meticulous. I experienced minimal swelling and very little post-op discomfort, which speaks to his expertise. The tooth needing the root canal was the second to last on the bottom right side (I forget the tooth number) but it had gotten to the point that I was taking Moltrin 3-4 times a day just to keep the pain manageable. If I didn't take meds before bed, I was sure to be awakened with throbbing pain, enough to have you questioning the point of eating candy ever again! Anyways, long story short, I came in to this office and the staff was very warm and kind to me. Peter was very helpful in educating me about the procedure and what I could expect throughout it afterwards. He's really a magician in the sense that he debunked all my pre root canal fears around the pain and how it would be the most excruciating experience I'd ever go through. The only pain I felt throughout the procedure was when I received the needle injection for numbing the area and nerve. Other than that, I felt no pain and by the time he was finished, I was shocked that it was all over. It took no more than 1 hour start to finish. He's really someone I wish I could go to for any dental issue because his conversation is awesome and he's so well informed. A true professional in every sense of the word and his team of professionals that assist in the procedure were amazing as well. This place is like a small private practice, not like going to a giant dentist location with a bunch of chairs and rotating dentist. They are exceptional in their ability to resolve root canals and in the process educate clients so they are more aware of the business of dental work. I left there understanding who I should get insurance with, what types of dentist I should get work done with as well as how to sift through yelp reviews to identify honest reviews over fabricated ones. As you can imagine, there's a bunch of dentist offices with reviews that are very basic and are there to just give the 5 stars in hopes of improving the businesses overall rating. If you need a root canal done, don't waste your time going anywhere else. This place has got you covered. Thanks again Peter & Staff! It's been over a month and the pain I felt prior to my visit with you has never returned.
