My husband had his crown replaced 4 times!!! It keeps falling out. I find this concerning about the quality of dental work. In my personal experience, the office staff did not greet me when I arrived and neither did Dr. Varani. Asking any questions made all the staff very tense and upset the dentist. My experience from walking until I walk out of the office continues to be excellent. I was greeted right away by Evette the receptionist when I walked in with a smile. Nichole my hygienist is a blessing from God. She is so tentative and detailed in her work. Any area of concern, she put extra care to make sure she cleaned out everything. Dr. Varani has been my dentist for almost a decade and continue to be funny and kind. I don't feel like he is quick to recommend work on my teeth until absolutely necessary. Varani Smile has figured out how to make going to the dentist actually delightful. From the front desk to the hygienist to Dr. Varani himself, everyone you encounter is genuinely kind and courteous. The office is clean and chic, with relaxing perks such as custom aromatherapy and heat/massage chair options. I also really appreciated how transparent the pricing process works - after Dr. Varani reviews charts and does the exam does he note what work is needed, then he left while an assistant brought out the pricing details in a very low/no pressure way, and only after I approved it did Dr. Varani come back to do the work. A stark difference to other experiences where the doc just does the work and you're left with a potentially shocking bill on the way out. My hygienist Nicole was excellent and the Office Manager Melissa was informative and helpful. Matthew in the front that schedules appointments comes off as irritated and unhelpful. I walked in a few minutes late because I did not know that the office had moved. He said, " well we sent a text message" I was like, I check the text message and clicked on the link that still shows your previous address (Still on Olive). I was embarrassing and I don't need someone huffing and puffing on the phone when I am trying to schedule my appointment. This is not the first contact with Matthew and every time he has not been professional nor helpful. That is the only reason I did not rate the experience 5 stars. If they change the scheduling person, which is the first person you have contact when entering the office. I would recommend in a heartbeat, right now that is not the case. read more

This has been by far the best dental experience of my life! I suffer from severe anxiety and the dentist has always been one of the most frightening and terrible experiences. But, everyone at Varani Smiles was beyond understanding. They made my comfort their number one concern. They explained everything in detail, which helped me to feel calm. They were aware of my comfort level at all times and made it an extremely pleasant experience. On top of that, they were warm and genuine and even cracked a few jokes. When you come in the first time, his front staff hands you a little questionnaire that asks what scent you want in the room for the aromatherapy. They also ask if you prefer to listen to music or watch TV. And what Pandora or TV channel do you prefer? They also do a paraffin wax for your hands if you want. Talk about completely pampered! But it's not just about the fluff. Dr. Varani is specially trained in detecting cancers of the mouth. And he has equipment to make crowns in the office while you wait. Continual pain until I told her to try another dentist. We went in not explaining the problem to see if it would be caught and guess what? The caught it on to the first visit. The office is beautiful and since they provide day spa services as well as dental care, it was totally relaxing. I had my choice of aromatherapy fragrances, my preference in music, and a complimentary paraffin hand treatment. It's impossible to be a dental phobe when you're being pampered like this. I have been seeing Dr. Varani for over a year now and he is an awesome dentist. I had some tooth sensitivity in one area and he performed a few tests to determine the problem.....Oops, I was brushing too hard! He provided me with some home remedies to help with the sensitivity and it is no longer an issue. Seems like a small problem to have, but the real point is that he didn't charge me a small fortune to figure it out....or worse....drill my teeth for no reason! Dr. Varani's staff is super friendly and even helped wrangle my kids while I was getting a cleaning. :) Last but not least, this is much more like a SPA than a dentist's office.
