Been coming here for years last year the pizza quality was pretty bad but I think its improved. The employees are also very kind.

The first red flag is that there is no itemized receipt. They just give you the total already calculated. There's no way to see how much each pizza was or the taxes. Then they charge a cash adjustment fee which I understand but the problem is I was overcharged. I tried to explain it several times to the cashier but she wasn't getting it and I didn't want my pizza to be cold so I let it go. If it was the other way around I bet they wouldn't have let it slide. Anywho the pizza itself was decent just expect to be overcharged. read more

Placed an order for pick up so I didn't dine in but what I can say is that the man behind the counter was really nice. Since I was in a rush because I was on my lunch break I just captured that the place was clean & spacious. I ordered the jumbo pizza special that came w/ some wings. We just order some chicken Parm's and they gave me something worse than a mcchicken. A flat chicken patty no cheese or sauce on it. For what they charged us for this sandwich is not worth it. This place use to be good. I grew up on this joint like many others. But won't be buying food here. Then our Oder was missing our food. What happened to this place. Ordered sausage pizza,spaghetti,and rib tips dinner. Pizza tasted bland and very little amount of meat. Spaghetti had barely enough sauce to color.It was like eating plain pasta.Rib tips were fatty and they forgot to add fries and coleslaw that was supposed to come with the dinner.Never again will I order food from here.There are way too many places to order from that are much better.So much for trying new places. read more

Take your business elsewhere. The place needs serious maintenance in the front and in the back, there's definitely rodent activity inside the kitchen. The food has drastically changed in the past few years and is not worth the money at all. The owner doesn't let the employees keep the online tips, so make sure to bring cash to give to them. Ordered a thin crust pizza and fries for delivery. Girl on the phone got the order wrong. First time trying delivery and "thin" crust pizza from them. Last time too. This place was highly recommended, so we tried it. Unfortunately, their "thin" crust, is a regular crust pizza, still lots of dough. Girl on the phone said 30 to 40 min. It was delivered an hr later. The delivery driver was sitting in his black car infront of my house for 15min, I was wondering who that was..... so I guess it was 40 min, plus the 15min he was sitting in the car.... I still tipped him, bkz hey, they delivered right. I did try their pizza by the slice a few weeks ago. It was T.H.I.C.K!! .. but it tasted good, so Im like ok ok, let me get delivery, but thin crust. Yeahhhhhh, no... they could def add more sauce. And again, this is NOT your traditional extra thin we are used to in Chicago. Their Fries- they were still warm. They are crinkle cut. One star because thats the lowest option i can give. Ever since the new owner passed away, this location has gone to the service, is HORRIBLE, and the food forget it. Just placed an order for a gravy bread, mozzarella sticks, and a double cheeseburger that comes with fries. Fries and mozzarella sticks were not fully cooked. Gravy bread was a piece of Italian bread that had 2-3 drops of gravy sauce on it. When I called to ask them to please deliver my food because they messed up my order and food was not fully cooked the cashier was unprofessional and said that is A "gravy bread" ‍ she hung up on me after I told that was not a gravy bread. I called back. Another individual answered and wouldn't give me his name, then proceeded to hang up. Went in person to get my money back. Food is no longer a choice. They lost my business. Loyal customer for 13 years. Hopefully, they can get new management because whoever is managing now is setting that business up for failure read more

This place is straight fire!! I remember trying the pizza a few years ago but I didn't remember how good it was until my family and I started ordering here since quarantine started. After the first time we ordered, we got hooked. The right amount of sauce and cheese. We order here at least once a week, sometimes even twice! I live right up the street, my son ( black) goes there periodically and said when he goes in there with our white neighbor he's treated decently but if he's alone its totally different, today he went in for 2 pizza puffs and received the silent unwelcome treatment, I order food from Wings, Anthony's pizza, Albino's and Falcos ALL THE TIME!!! with good friendly service,I've NEVER seen a line out of the door there, so keep your attitude and your food because one thing is certain, there is a restaurant or 2 on almost every block in this area!!! Prices were average, food was above average, the food was delivered as agreed, hot, not too quick not too slow, polite driver called first upon arrival then came to door. Hot damn. Perhaps it's my mistake and I should've tried the pizza? I ordered a cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, and an order of onion rings. The delivery was well within the the estimate I was given - hurray! I immediately dug into my burger, which was palatable, but not repeatable. The patty was a grey, flavorless, pre-formed, frozen affair served on a bun that was oddly chewy (as in a bit tough to bite through). The fries were the standard crinkle cut variety, but pale, limp, and undercooked. I could deal, though - the fries came with the burger, but I was in it for the onion rings. First, however, I dug the chicken nuggets out of the bag for my son. I'd never seen such sad looking nuggets in my life. They were flattened little irregular discs, bending slightly this way and the other. Of course this has no impact on the overall taste, which was about as good as any other low-cost, frozen-then-fried chicken nugget. This, however, is when things get remarkably uncool: the onion rings. I pop open the bag and am greeted by a tangle of shriveled, dark brown rings. Upon inspection, it became clear that they weren't just overdone - they were burnt to a crisp. They were so clearly inedible, that I couldn't help but wonder about the fry cook that thought it alright to send them out. Was s/he some apathetic kid that couldn't be brought to care about a random order of rings? Was s/he going through a messy divorce, sleep-deprived and hung over after an evening spent in consolation by way of the bottle? It's just difficult to grasp the carelessness that allowed for those o-rings without building a character who is either utterly inept or suffering some kind of tragic backstory. Anyway, I contacted the restaurant and was connected to a manager. I told him I'd just gotten my delivery, but the onion rings were burnt. He asked me what I wanted him to do, and then offered to add them to my next order. I declined and, apologizing for the inconvenience, asked that they send me another order. They got me the replacement quickly, which I appreciate. However, I can't imagine trying Chely's again owing to the underwhelming quality of the food and the inconvenience on my end having to sort out the onion rings. Two stars for a friendly delivery driver and the manager's willingness to send me another order on onion rings. read more
