I was pleased to find that Waldo Cooney's Pizza was listed on Uber Eats after it was recommended to…read moreme by Elizabeth C, a yelper out of Berwyn Illinois, who shared a big slice of their pizza, and review! Along with that endorsement, its 4.6-star rating out of 700+ via Uber Eats was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. Looking through the menu, I took an interest in items like the Cheese Thin Crust Pizza (10" Small), Cheese Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza (10" Small), Vegetarian Pizza, Cheese Calzone, ravioli, Spaghetti, Gourmet Cheesecake, Chee-Zee Garlic Bread, and French Fries. Out of all that caught my eye, I ended up ordering their Cheese Thin Crust Pizza (10" Small) with pineapple as my topping after contemplating on spinach. Whether it be Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. By the time I arrived at Waldo Cooney's, the employee was finishing up with my order during this ordering experience. Picking up was just confirming my name, ordering platform, and I was well on my way back to my residence. I am grateful to have had a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again is very high. For your information, Waldo Cooney's sits along a busy Cermak Rd, which you will have to keep an eye out for as you are driving up to the storefront. It can easily be missed if you are focused on the fast flow of the traffic on Cermak Rd. And keep in mind you will have to pick the right timing when pulling out your vehicle while leaving because those incoming vehicles on Cermak Rd are something else. As for my order, my mouth salivated prior to my first bite of the Cheese Thin Crust Pizza I ordered. It was presented perfectly, with pineapples infused in with the cheese, and cut into small squares. Very satisfying taste! If you have never had the addition of pineapples on your pizza, then you have no clue what you are missing. Out of my favorite pizza restaurants within a radius, I can see myself ordering from Waldo Cooney's again while in the area because it sure was satisfying. In closing, I had a great ordering experience as I have indicated in this review of Waldo Cooney's Pizza. And as it was recommended to me by Elizabeth C, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all on yelp. Service: 5 | Ambiance: 5 | Food: 5 | Overall: 5 ~Keep it simple. ~ Thomas G

It's not as close to me as I thought it was. What makes Villa Nova work so well is the direct nature of the business. They offer well-cooked pizzas in varying degrees of baking (crispy, "burn it", etc.). The owner's humor is very Chicagoan or Sticknian? idk. The younger workers pound out those pizzas with dedication but not sloppiness. It's nice coming here, you grab your pizza, and leave. Enjoy it wherever you want, knowing you're having one of the better tavern pizzas in the Chicago area.

If you can get past that part, Freddy's is a must. Solid subs--we did an Italian and a meatball--and the gelato/ice cream situation is ridiculous. Be sure to check your visit timings; for example, right now they are closed for a two-week stretch, I assume for staff vacations, and the hours are limited, because they are an Italian pizza/sub shop and like the ones in the city, they are not open late. But I like the back patio to extend eating space in the summer time, and people can usually move through quickly if they are just ordering the basics. The shop, featuring loads of Italian sundry goods and pasta items, works too...for those living near Freddy's that are missing spots like Bari or the other sub shops on Grand, or The Italian Store in the DC area, Freddy's checks every box.

I would definitely return as I'd like to get pasta and some of their homemade pasta sauce.

The portions for price point seemed a little off as dishes didn't come with a bread basket nor side salad.
