Extra surcharge surprise

Be aware of the "service charge" of 3.25%. I paid cash and asked about the extra charge. The guy said something about it being for their cash register system. It didn't make any sense to me why there should be an extra charge for me to pay.

The food was great!!! We loved the bar, cool vibes and great energy. Very great energy and people were so friendly!

My wife and I were looking for food for the Bear's game today. We were looking for something to go…read morewith our pizza from another establishment. My wife pulled up this place. I've known about them since they opened up in the condo building after it was built. So, we decided to try them, because I wanted wings that were not fried. She found out they have "smoked" wings. She placed an order of those, sweet-smoky onion rings and cauliflower wings w/ sweet Thai chili sauce. The wings were "okay". The so-called hickory flavor was there but needed ALOT more, so that hurt. They were also dried out, which hurt even more!... I told my wife, we should have done the hickory sauce to kinda bring it all together which also would have helped with the moisture. So, we decided we would try them again someday. They were a nice size as well; which is a positive. The onion rings were WAY TOO SALTY!!!.... Whoever seasoned them must have been look at the game! They were inedible!!!... The salt in the seasoning was WAYYY too aggressive. But, here too, we said, we would get them plain and have the seasoning on the side next time. We didn't even finish half of the order. The winner was the cauliflower!!!... They were cooked right (just a little bit over), but the flavor by themselves was pretty good! The Thai sauce was good as well. They didn't require alot due to the viscosity of the sauce. We actually tried a wing with the sauce; it was pretty good. This is reason we changed our minds about trying them a second time. I will without a final grade until after the next visit. -Gone.........

I don't know if i went to the right location or if i even ordered it the right way, but what i will…read moresay is... the chicken is good! I definitely should've asked for them to fry it a bit harder than that cuz i like mine a lot crisper, but that was my fault. The wings themselves were seasoned well, juicy and hot. The fries were okay too. The lemonade was too damn sweet lol. But that's to be expected really lol. I wanted something sweet to end the meal so i got a lemon cake. It wasn't the best cake but it wasn't bad. I'd skip that to be honest. I also didn't need the 5 wings combo cuz that's a lot of wings lol. You can do the 3 wing combo and still be okay. The staff here were nice. They didn't rush you and were helpful when asked. The ambiance was cool. In the downtown neighborhood so it wasn't bad. All in all I'd want to try it again. They had other sides as well and chicken tenders. They also had sandwiches and other juices. Check them out if you're there. Pics below

Now, don't get me wrong, the chicken was fried and seasoned very well, but I think it's a particular order that regulars are familiar with that I heard mentions of after I placed my order that pertained to the sauce. The fries and the waffle wouldn't necessarily be something that I would order again. Either way, it was an experience I enjoyed having.

What a gem to hide an authentic Korean restaurant in the heart of pilsen. Thank you for bringing…read morediverse culture to a culture filled community! Love this. Visiting bobijoa was such a good pick - I ordered the Gogi burger and a bottle of rice wine. The burger darn near melted in your mouth. The textures from the slaw and sauce were perfection on its own. The fries were home cut and not store bought so I loved that. I do wish they'd put sea salt or a homemade seasoning on the fry to up it a bit. Otherwise no complaints. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is calm and chill. You can go with a friend or bring a book to read. Either way you're in for a treat.

They have pictures on their menu which I also enjoy. I've had the chicken wings (sweet n spicy), their kimchi fries, their bibimbop, bulgogi bap (favorite!!!), burger, kimchi fried rice (fav), japchae noodles, Soondooboo (another big fav), and Yukejang (favorite soup in the winter time, the beef is so soft) their Seafood Pajeon is also delicious- recommend eating there though cause its crispy, along with the fries and chicken wings. And lastly the Hotteoks are a nice sweet n savory dessert. Favorite place in the neighborhood.
