I consistently attend this place for weekend brunch and have been here a couple of times during the week and I have not had a single issue. The food is unbeatable. The pastries are amazing. And the service is spot on. I recommend this to anybody local or even out of town visitors want to support small and local. This quiet and quaint cafe is the place to be! read more

The veggie quiche is delicious! And the salmon Eggs Benedict is one of the best! Their coffee is not that great and you order at the counter and then sit which is a bit awkward, but a great place none-the-less! Definitely will be returning! read more

Our breakfast could've been excellent -- if the eggs, toast, and home fries had been hot. And if the bacon had been crispy, as requested. Perhaps the meals had been served on cold plates. The staff did bring additional, and hot, potatoes, although not very quickly. There are good things, such as self-serve coffee, but there are better options for breakfast, such as Sneakers, Mirabelle's, Handy's, Spot, and even Dutch Mill. The problems at Chef's Corner shouldn't be hard to fix. read more

Do NOT get the frittata, the eggs are always overcooked - brown and rubbery. I've tried the frittata 3 times and each time the eggs are more overcooked than the last. Today I tried the $9 breakfast sandwich instead, but those eggs were overcooked too! Amazingly low standards. Whoever runs the kitchen either doesn't pay attention or doesn't care. Cooking an egg correctly is Culinary 101. Sending out overcooked eggs would embarrass any real cook. read more

I seem to go here alot. I leave happy and that intangible quality makes me want to go back. The paninis are a must. Salads and sides are homemade and the desserts are really good. We had them make our desserts for our wedding and it was a highlight for sure. It always seems busy there and it's easy to see why. read more

Great place! I recently had the roast beef sandwich. The beef was perfect, the bread was the freshest and tastiest (I had the whole wheat) I have had in a long time anywhere. I was very happy with the sandwich. One friend always had the Nicoise Salad and another had the Bacon Banh Mi. Both were excellent. I also like the new location. It has a good feel to it. read more

I normally go to Williston Coffee Shop on my way back from the airport. But it was closed so I thought I would try this newer place around the corner... I wish I could tell you about what they had to offer but I was ignored completely. I was repeatedly looked at by several staff, through a glass window from the kitchen and then walked passed repeatedly.... I was flat out ignored by staff as I stood at the counter. I waited patiently a for 5-7 minutes and began feeling like I was not wanted there. The server never even acknowledged me when they walked by. It was 40 minutes before closing - So - not that. Maybe it's because I'm an artist and an arts administrator who wears paint on his pants... Maybe it's because I'm a black man... Either way I'm not impressed - more like depressed. This is one of those situations where negative stars should be available to rate my experience with this place. If you wish to not feel like you don't belong probably best to skip this place all together. read more

So, so, so disappointed. I went here for lunch, having had a great experience one other time. I noticed they had "kahlua pork" on the menu, and I joked with the cashier and someone who seemed to be the manager that they spelled it wrong (there's no "h"in kalua). Kalua pig is a traditional Hawaiian dish (and this particular dish was marketed as such) that has a salty, smoky flavor and is usually served with steamed cabbage and white rice. I know this because I'm from Hawaii, and thought I would give it a try because I was excited to find this dish in this area. Unfortunately, this was not only disappointing, it was barely palatable. For starters, I waited quite a long time to receive my takeout food (there were only one or two people ahead of me in line and only a couple people came through while I waited). When I opened the package, the presentation was terrible... The rice and pork were really greasy and were sliding around a too-big container. There was some kind of weird sweet and sour sauce drizzled over both the rice and the pork, and just did not taste good... And definitely did not taste like kalua pork! I actually felt ill after trying to eat this. To top it off, I paid over $14 for this meal! I'm giving this two stars because I know this place is usually really great, and the staff was friendly... But please don't market and serve something if you have no concept of what it is you're serving. Kalua pork is actually quite simple to make and delicious when done right... Since they moved their operations my dining experience was better. I had had eggs benedict and must say that they were the best I have ever had. The line to order can be long, especially on a Sunday morning, but they are efficient and my order came within five minutes. I like the new location much better. read more

They close at 4 pm. Serve food til 3 pm. Why, at 230 pm are they placing the chairs on the tops of the tables as if they were closing down?! They even asked a couple to move to a different area because they wanted to put those chairs on the tables to close up (again, at 230 pm). It's so rude. My food was good but I won't go back. Who wants to be eating when they are packing up/ closing down a full hour and a half before they are supposed to?!?! It's like they were kicking us out. read more

Don't waste your time or money here!! My husband ordered the "All American" & I ordered the Eggs Benedict and a large latte, for a total of $28 and change. The latte came out first, and up until this point we were VERY happy with our dining experience. Then our food came out and things changed rapidly. My husband's food looked & tasted okay.. rubbery eggs, potatoes that desperately needed some seasoning (I guess that is why they serve them with a side of ketchup?), bacon, and 2 bread slices. He said the bacon was the only thing that tasted good, so we essentially paid $9.50 for a side of bacon. My food on the other hand, didn't look or taste good. I have ordered eggs benedict at numerous locations throughout the US, and this was hands-down the worst order I have ever had anywhere! I am pretty sure that I could have used the eggs as a weapon, they were so overcooked. These eggs were not poached; they were hard-boiled without a shell (they were probably even overcooked by hard-boiled egg standards - an impressive feat!). I'm not sure how they decided their hollandaise sauce is famous (maybe it is so bad that they have become world renowned for it?), but for some reason it is orange, and I got the extra benefit of having mine served cold, making the orange mystery sauce congealed & almost lumpy (lucky me, right?). I tried one bite, and quickly confirmed that my food tasted even worse than it looked! I pushed my almost untouched plate to the side of the table & began an epic stare-down with the girl who delivered our food. Despite making eye contact several times, she would not come near our table (I'm guessing the front of house has learned to hide after delivering their food orders, so they can avoid dealing with unhappy guests). By the time we flagged down an employee, my husband was done eating the edible part of his order. Rather than waiting another 10-20 minutes for what I am sure would have been the 2nd worst order of eggs benedict ever served, we requested a refund for my meal. About 10 minutes later, the same employee returned with our refund. Rather than apologizing for the horrendous quality of the meal, he informed us that next time I needed to specify that I wanted the egg yolks runny. So, I guess if you want an edible meal, you need to specify that you don't want your food overcooked. On the bright side, I won't have to remember to instruct them on how to cook basic breakfast items because I don't plan on ever going back. I can only hope that their cook had called in sick yesterday, and they were having a busboy handle the cooking. If that isn't the case, maybe they should give the busboy a crack at it because their cook needs some serious training (or better yet, a new line of work). read more

I am not sure if i just went the wrong day or it is a common occurrence. It was not during rush hour and I was the only one needing to order something to go. They had a sign that said "$5 dollar breakfast sandwich special!" - So i went in and tried ordering that. The Guy taking my order said they didn't have that and I needed to order off the board. I was starving so i just ordered their $8.50 breakfast sandwich (This should of been my first sign to walk out of the cafe because seriously who charges $8.50 dollars for a breakfast sandwich). I did it on the gluten free roll (which is an additional 1.00 which is normal). I waited over 15 min. for said breakfast sandwich - during this time - the head bakery/owner was freaking out about everything, while two people stood around doing nothing and one of the guys having a mid-life crisis in front of the customers and the owner had to calm him down. And like i said - I was the only one ordering anything. I was handed my to go container and I was down the street when I realized that i got the stupid $5.00 breakfast sandwich special on non-gluten free old/moldy bread and spoiled ketchup. So, I really paid $8.50 for a $1.00 egg on old/moldy bread. Like seriously? I was the only one that ordering - how do you mess that up?!?!? read more

Chef's Corner Cafe is a great place to grab breakfast and catch up with friends and family. The food is much better than diners and it's really a pancake house with a selection. If you did order pancakes they gave you a dispenser of maple syrup. Once you order food from upfront they'll take it to your table when its ready, water and coffee is self served if you ordered. If you ordered tea they give you your own personal tea pot. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is like eating at a large home kitchen. read more

I ordered a pricey cake 24 hours in advance. When I ordered it, I asked if we could eat it there, with a party of about 6-10 people. The lady on the phone said no problem- she would get us plates, forks, etc. I paid with my credit card. About 1/2 hour later, I got a phone call saying there would be an additional $5 service fee to cover the plates, forks and napkins. I thought whatever, fine. They wanted to re run my card, but I didn't have it on me, so I asked if I could take care of the extra fee when we came in to eat. Then the owner got on the phone with me (not sure why??). He explained the fee, then recommended to come in a little early then our 1p plan. We arrived 15 minutes early, waited a few minutes for the staff to prepare a table for us. This was great. The chef/owner said he would waive the extra "cake serve" fee. That was also nice. We sat, the staff brought us our cake, sang Happy Birthday to our friend with us, and we ate the delicious cake. Prior to leaving, we left a generous tip. After leaving, the chef/owner called me to say that they expected us to order lunch and drinks with the cake. Next time they wouldn't take up a large table (we had 5 adults, 2 children) with just a cake (no matter how pricey) order. In other words, if you only get dessert, don't expect to sit down and take up extra space. I told him we were not aware of this, and the staff knew our intentions of sitting to eat the cake, hence the request for plates and forks, when the order was placed. The place was full when we got there, but there were empty tables when we left. I'm not sure why he felt he needed to call me after the fact, but he gained a bad review and lost customers because of that phone call. read more

Love this bakery! They always have the pastries, pies and cakes that I am looking for - and sometimes didn't know I wanted! Their cannoli's are great!! It's a great little spot in Williston which used to be a hole in the wall but is more popular now than a few years ago. Love coming here to pick up Christmas and holiday gifts to give. Such a wonderful find as we drove I-89!! Freshly made, perfectly seasoned with herbs: a great selection of pasta, vegetable, and meat salads to choose from for a 2 or 3-item plate, plus delicious warm-from-the-oven gluten free bread! It's a hard decision- which pastry or dessert to choose! We ate on the deck overlooking a field of wild grasses, listening to the red-wing blackbirds. Perhaps a water fountain would help distract a bit further from the sounds of traffic, but otherwise, quite comfortable to sit outside under the table umbrellas. This is a definite place to return next time I'm driving by. read more

We came here for breakfast twice while we were staying in the area. It reminds me a little of Panera Bread. The restaurant is very clean, staff was friendly, and food was tasty. You order off the menu, they give you a number, you find a table, and they bring you your food. The first time I went I was really excited because they make their own gluten-free bread on site and it was really good. My husband got a tasty breakfast sandwich. The second time I ordered breakfast to takeout. They actually ran out of gluten-free bread after I put my order in. I was really disappointed but the manager (I think) told me that my breakfast would be on him and they he actually gave me a refund for the breakfast I already ordered. I really appreciated that they went so far to try to make it right. I would definitely come back to this place if I am ever in the area again. read more

Food: Amazing! I Overheard someone at the table next to me saying, "I've never had anything here that wasn't fantastic." She is right on. The food is so very good and the service is usually very pleasing too but the dining space is cramped. Today, the staff are taking plates the minute your fork drops. They have a backlog of people waiting and do such great business. I don't understand why they haven't already expanded their dining space so the patrons don't have to be rushed out. HEALTHY AND FRESH! I really can't say enough good things about this place. We have been coming here for several years, and always leave so pleased. It really is such a wonderful place to have lunch. They have a thoughtful selection of sandwiches and salads posted on chalkboard behind the counter. And then you get to walk down the case full of the most amazing baked goods. Followed by another case full of healthy side dishes to add to your meal. I must admit, that I am a bit addicted to their Cajun chicken sandwich. It comes with a little side salad with the most delicious vinaigrette dressing. The deserts are absolutely top notch. It is so nice to have a place where you can get such a healthy meal. What a great bakery! The seating configuration reminds me a little of the cafeteria from my high school years, but the food here is WAY better. And the service is WAY better here too. And the people working in the kitchen here don't wear hair nets. Or at least I don't think they do; I didn't actually go into the kitchen. There is a window where you can kind of peek into the kitchen, but it was difficult to see if anyone was wearing a hair net. I'm not sure. read more

Chef's Corner's bakery in Williston is fantastic! Their desserts are always great and luxuriously delicious. I'm a huge fan of their chocolate mousse cake and their maple creme brûlée. Their lunch prices are slightly up there (roughly $10 sandwiches) but the sandwiches they makes are pretty dang tasty and they also offer sandwich & soup or salad combos so I'd say it's worth the money. My mother and I love going now and then and it always feels like a treat to go. If you're in Williston or even near their S. Burlington location, I'd really recommend going! read more

Used to love this place. The prices on the website are not correct. Prices have increased. They charge $0.75 for soy milk for coffee. Soy milk is cheaper than 1/2 & 1/2. Vermont is usually vegan friendly and having non-dairy alternatives readily available is the norm. The pancakes were not well cooked (doughy). The pastry case is open on the back. A fly was flying around all those delicious looking pastries. The staff was very friendly. read more
