    Orange chicken, steamed rice

It's okay, I suppose I was expecting a bit more. Ive ordered the orange chicken from Grubhub ($29), which fine, gets a little soggy with delivery. So I thought I'd dine in (weekday ~6pm) to see if it'd be different, but nope still the same, the breading isn't crispy. I like that it is white meat though. So it's okay enough to eat if you're hungry or didn't cook. Dining in orange chicken is $24. Service is okay, although I dined in, my food was placed in take out containers just with a tray. They gave 1 napkin and 1 fork, I had my own personal water bottle. The ambiance is loud, bright lights with heavy metal clanking from cooking, so definitely more of a take out place than dining in, although they offer two sit down tables. It's BH so yes $24 Chinese food that is super-mid is on the cheaper end. I wouldn't come back to dine-in, but may do take out in the future and wouldn't order their soggy orange chicken again. If you'd like to get more bang for your buck, go to Fu's Palace a few blocks down.

Xièxiè to Chef Ming and all the Ming providers of excellent Chinese food to go as well as using Corn starch instead of flour so this gluten intolerant veteran can enjoy dishes prepared the normal way without adjustments like your Lemon Chicken and the always GF Hot Braised Shrimp. What seems a bit pricey is really not with the two full entrees and a carton of white rice containing an ample amount of the lemon chicken and shrimp, I get 5 meals out of eating this delicious meal. Somewhat surprisingly near this area there are some very good French, Italian, Persian, Israeli and Middle Eastern restaurants, Chef Ming's is the best of the other Chinese Restaurants that have seen better days long in the past.

Ordered the Orange chicken lunch special and it was so mid - the noodles were super dry and plain - they also go our order wrong over the phone - chicken was okay - also no soy sauce or Siracha in the bag - also two lunch specials 45 dollars

My Chinese wife and I thought this was the worst Chinese restaurant in LA. 0 for 4. No sauce, no flavor I complained to the manager and they did nothing. Obviously I won't be returning.

I spotted this place while having brunch at La Province next door.Hole in the wall but after giving it a try I must admit that the world of dining, size really doesn't matter! Welcome to Chef Ming's Kitchen, the little restaurant that could... and absolutely does, especially when it comes to tickling your taste buds with authentic Asian flavors. Let's set the scene: I had lunch at Panda Express before my dinner at Chef Ming's. Now, there's no bad blood between me and Panda, but after eating at Chef Ming's, it was clear who wore the flavor crown. Ming's dishes are less oily, have no MSG, and aren't as salty - it's like they attended an etiquette school for well-behaved dishes! This restaurant may be tiny, with only a bar counter for on-site dining, but don't underestimate its size. The takeout service is like a relentless conveyor belt of deliciousness, churning out order after order of fantastic food. The prices may aim for the Beverly Hills stars, but believe me, your wallet won't mind once your mouth gets a taste of the magic. In a nutshell, Chef Ming's Kitchen might be small, but it's got enough personality to outshine any of its larger asian food counterparts. It's like the little engine that could, puffing full steam ahead on the rails of culinary delight, leaving fast food joints like Panda Express in its delicious dust.

    34. Orange Flavored Beef w side of rice SO GOOD & CRUNCHYi

We got the Orange flavored beef and it was SUPER CRISPYYYY!! Even after they sauced it, It was still crispy! We did eat it in the moment so it was fresh, if you get take out it might get a little soggy. Highly recommend it, whenever I come back to LA I'll definitely be back for this dish (: They only had two tables outside and bar seating against the wall inside so a little limited

    We out here!

The music was set at the perfect volume--just enough to have us humming along while we made our way through four incredible dishes and a few glasses of wine. We started with the "skinny egg rolls," dubbed so as they are long and skinny. They arw perfectly crisp and light, giving lumpia vibes without feeling heavy or oily. Next were the wontons--I could smell the ginger before they even reached the table, and they absolutely delivered. Adding a spoonful of the homemade chili oil, packed with herbs and spices, took them to another level. Then came the noodles: thin, delicate, and full of flavor, topped with beautifully seasoned beef that tasted as though it had just come off the grill. At that point, we could have happily stopped--but the team highly recommended the pork entrée, and I'm so glad we trusted them. Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a beautifully seasoned crust, served with just the right touch of mustard to bring everything together. We cleaned the plate without hesitation. To finish, we shared the mango dessert, and it was the perfect ending. Sweet without being overpowering, every element--from the mango to the coconut and cream--shone through, with a subtle savory note that balanced it all beautifully. What truly made the evening unforgettable was the service. The staff were attentive without ever hovering, checking in at just the right moments, and the managers' thoughtful table touches made us feel cared for. Thank you, 88 Club, for one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. We're already looking forward to coming back!

All their weekday lunch specials come with hot & sour soup and an egg roll. I had to get their signature spicy orange chicken which is tangy and perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's seriously such a great deal with the amount they give you. Even their dim sum items are discounted during lunch too so I got all my favorites like shumai, radish cakes, green onion pancakes, string beans, and even the rainbow xiaolongbao sampler which is basically Russian roulette for you to guess the flavor of each. But the real sleeper on the menu are the sweet & spicy corn ribs. Love the nod to the Asian taste profile, and it's sooo satisfying to eat! Thanks for reading! ^-^

I've been coming here for the past two years, and their quality is stayed consistently high, if not even improving! They also have an amazing cocktail menu (which is more unusual for dim sum spots) and weekday lunch special menu from 12-3 PM, which features select dim sum and traditional Chinese dish combos at VERY affordable prices (all under $20). Customer Service: (5/5) The waiter was very nice throughout. She was very endearing as she talked to my girlfriend in chinese and also kind to me when speaking in english. When asked about dishes and proportions, she was very knowledgeable and honest. Food: (4.5/5) We ordered the Mapo Tofu and Meizhou Special Fried Rice with chicken. The food came out within 10 minutes and the portions, as I saw on previous reviews, were generous enough for us to share and be full. The Mapo Tofu came out on a hot ceramic bowl. It wasn't as spicy as I thought, not overly spicy but just enough where you get that numbing kind of sensation in your mouth that leaves you wanting more. The beef wasn't like the ground beef you see in other mapo tofu, but more of chunkier pieces which I wasn't a big fan of as it didn't seem spread evenly. The Meizhou Special Fried Rice with chicken was probably one of the best fried rice dishes I've ever had. You can tell it was made from a wok and the flavors were just incredible. The chicken seemed to have been friend separately and added on top afterwards but the saltiness of the chicken didn't take away from the fried rice at all. Instead, it added to the flavor and made it all so enjoyable. For the ultimate experience, I'd recommend eating both together to maximize your palette!

For a restaurant positioning itself at the higher end of Chinese dining, Meizhou Dongpo is sleeping on the finer details. No complimentary tea service, and rather than offering a pot for the table, they serve individual tea by the mug -- a comically oversized Western mug at that. Chopsticks arrive without spoons, and when you ask for one, you get silverware instead of the porcelain you'd expect at Chinese restaurant. The Peking duck accoutrements came with a little plastic spoon on the tray. Small things, but they add up.The fried rice was a letdown too and looked nothing like the menu photo.
