My wife and I decided to give Chef Ami a try because of a Living Social deal I found for them . We like to cook, but finding the time to go shopping is difficult so we end up getting take out a lot. Last night we cooked an amazing steak dish with shitake mushrooms and roasted corn which we both loved. The produce and ingredients we got were all fresh and seemed to be high quality. My wife really loved how everything came individually packaged which made cooking it both fun and easy. We both work 60 hrs a week so this service is definitely a time saver and a good value in my opinion. The only complaint I have is that you can't choose your meals each week. I am a bit of a picky eater and so I won't be ordering every week since the menu is set. I would like to see more options on the menu and be able to select what meals to receive. read more

We ordered meals from Chef Ami for the first time last week; this week we have been enjoying the meals. We found the portions to be generous; the quality of the food was excellent; the flavorings transformed the entrees into a culinary experience that we have not had at home. As the person who cooked the food, I appreciated the availability of measured-out ingredients and the ease of cooking the entrees -- the directions were specific and easy to follow; and, it is true, as advertised, that the dishes took no longer than 30 minutes to prepare. In summary, we enjoyed preparing and eating the meals. We are looking forward to ordering from Chef Ami again. Wow! What a great company! I was getting into a rut with my choices for dinner and wanted to try new recipes, but had no idea where to begin. Most healthy recipes tend to be expensive and lack flavor. I was extremely impressed with Chef Ami! All the meals are healthy choices with fresh, local ingredients. The portion size is perfect for two people, and having only the amount needed of each ingredient eliminates food waste. Not being the most skilled in the kitchen, I was surprised how easy the meals were to prepare. All take 30-45 minutes with easy to follow directions. I love the professionalism of the recipe cards, packaging, delivery, and local donations. The small things really go a long way! WOW! This has delicious menu options, delivered to your door (I hate grocery shopping and don't have time), and easy to follow instructions. My husband LOVED IT! You get calorie count, and though I learned a lot about cooking from mom, I did learn a few new things from the recipe card (you can make roasted fresh corn by cutting off the cob and putting with oil in fry pan for 3 minutes)! I had the spanish paella, Panko crusted ginger salmon and spiced tenderloin roast pork the week I signed up. A real nice mix of dinners. They go for local ingredients and are environmentally conscious with recyling the box and ice packs. I highly recommend, and I'm a bit of a foodie! read more

Chef Ami is like nothing else I've ever experienced. A service that delivers all the ingredients and recipes to create truly exceptional meals at home. And they buy local and recycle the delivery. What's more, the meals never disappoint. The ingredients are always fresh and of the highest quality. Prep time is usually 30 minutes or less. It is like going to culinary school in my own kitchen, and the menu is never boring. My wife and I have been on the 3-for-2 per week plan. My husband and I tried Chef Ami last week and were really impressed! The ingredients were all very fresh and perfectly portioned. The first meal we made was a shrimp and orzo dish- it was so good that I saved the recipe card so that I can make it again soon! The second dish was a form of basil chicken and the last was an Italian-style macaroni with sausage and asparagus. The service was prompt and made dinner so much easier- none of the dishes took any longer than 30 minutes to make. Chef Ami is a great concept for busy lifestyles. I work 60-75 hours a week and value my free time immensely. I do not like wandering about the grocery store in search of my next meal, however I do love to cook. That is the beauty of Chef Ami. I get to prepare my own meals without time wasted at the market. Their use of seasonal, locally sourced product makes me feel better about supporting our local farmers and commerce. Chef Ami makes my work week less stressful and very flavorful. The unique flavor of the meals I received, have prepared and eaten are superb. Moreover, the serving amount of each dish is more than adequate. I would have to compare the experience of eating these meals to dining in a four or five star restaurant . In addition, as a senior, who no longer gets out and about as frequently as before, I appreciate the convenience of delivery service all the more. I was visiting a friend in Gainesville recently and we made one of their meals when it got to be too late to get anything out besides greasy fast food. It was shrimp and bok choy and it was so good! It comes with everything you need and a recipe card, it's pretty fool proof even for people like me who think they are not good at cooking. My wife and I tried chef ami for the second time this week. We love to cook dinner together or for each other but with a one year old quick meals have become the routine. Chef Ami has allowed us to make a large variety of semi complex meals with ease. Each week we can choose to get 3 dinners or not depending on our plans. The Almond Crusted Chicken is sooooo delicious! We were stunned with the deep complex flavors in the balsamic glaze and so easy to put the dinner together. I love your recipes. Weeknight dinners used to be Chinese takeout due to time constraints. This has been the best dinner delivery experience ever!
