It's a simple walk up to order, walk away with your food kinda place, once you figure out where you're going to enjoy it and you will believe me this place is the definition of deliciousness. I've been to a number of these family owned small batch bbq shacks over the years and they never stop impressing me but this one tops the list. I wanted 4 rib bones and fries but unfortunately for me the lady before me took the last of them yes I was disappointed and the owner and pit master apologized telling me he only cooks a few racks a day ensuring he sells out everyday so all the food is as fresh as possible - well I wasn't walking away without getting something so I opted for the pull pork and this guy wowed me with probably the best smoked and seasoned pulled pork I have ever eaten hand down no exaggeration, it was absolutely amazing and served with two types of sauces on the side and he followed this up with these crazy good crinkle fries like none I have every experience. We were both thinking we had landed in some "Bizarro World" of barbecue. The owners are the friendliest people you'll ever want to meet, the food is next level, the location is crazy remote - and the sweet tea would make my momma proud...

Stop here now! Farm…read moreshack style ordering, best food of a roadtrip so far. Have it on good authority this bbq stop was recently bought from the previous owner. My group had brisket, pulled pork, fried chicken club sandwich, baked beans, green beans, collard greens and ... I think that's it. Oh, coleslaw and peach cobbler. Order all of it. All the sides were fresh and bursting with flavor. I will personally try and recreate the baked bean recipe. Thinking molasses. Even the crinkle fries are the best I've had in a long while. Brisket. Perfection. Ordered the chicken club, fired when I found out the ribs were out. Juicy, crispy, seasoned. This chicken sandwich will be the standard I judge others by. Coleslaw was a rough cut. Not mad at it. Peach cobbler was not too sweet, plenty of cakey pieces. One bench. This is mostly a to go location. We tailgated. Yes, there is a bathroom No, there is not a trash can. Remember, things sell out, so go early.

She warmed up both our sandwiches and we included a side. We both got the chickpea salad which was nicely seasoned. This place also has a plethora of desserts. There are Italian groceries available too. Nice lady who runs the place.

We visited for the first time yesterday and it's like a wonderland of Italian imported bakery items, olive oils, pasta and so much more! It was Italy transported to this delicatessen! Maria made our Italian paninis and, by far, they were the best we've ever had: made on fresh focaccia and absolutely out of this world Italian meats and pesto. We also had the homemade potato salad and it was also the best we've had and my almond cake (part custard, part cake) was heavenly! I am wanting to try their hot dishes next: lasagna, chicken parmigiana and more. My own Nonna was resurrected with this food. We were also helped by Rosini and Maria shared with me that her daughter Rosaria also is part owner. I would highly recommend anyone living in this region to take the drive here. It IS an Italian Wonderland of Foods. It's got a couple of tables so take-out is an option but we ate in. What a joy this deli was for us. Maria cooks with both love AND only the best ingredients. And you can 100% tell with the passion for food that she exudes when you talk to her. This, by far, has been my favorite experience with Italian fare since I moved from Miami to Citrus County in 2016. Yes, it's worth the hour drive for me. For sure and for certain... This is a must for anyone having a passion for Italian food: fresh, delicious and so very flavorful. Blessings to you, Maria and crew, for bringing us culinary joy yesterday with many more to come.

Being from Pittsburgh, PA, I had never heard of Cheney Brothers before until family that I have in…read morethe area introduced it to me. Since then, I have visited several times and have had a positive experience each time. Cheney Brothers is food distributor headquartered at this location in Ocala, FL. This location appears to not only house a warehouse for the food distribution, but there are also corporate offices and a retail store. The store is open to the public, and is where I have visited when coming to this location. There is a private parking lot that has direct access to both the loading area and the retail store. When pulling into the parking lot, security will greet you at the entrance. As long as you tell them you are visiting the store, they will let you right through. They will also likely check your receipt when you are exiting. But, you do not need any special type of ID or verification to enter and park, though it may appear that way at first. The entrance to the store is right near the loading ramp, and there are steps and a ramp to be able to enter that space. It has recently been remodeled within the past year or so, so it is clean and modern. The selection in the store includes items that the company sells for its food distribution business. For whatever reason, they have some available to the public to buy at great prices. There are food service supplies, non-perishable items, fridge and freezer items, and more. The selection, especially for the food items, is always rotating and different. I have seen fresh produce, different meats, and other varieties of food available in the freezers and fridges. It simply depends on their stock and what gets put out. Some of it is more of a bulk purchase, but other items can be bought individually or in lower quantities. The staff in here is friendly and always helpful. If you buy a larger quantity of items, they will bring it out on a lift to your vehicle. I have personally never had a bad experience here with any of the staff. The retail store at Cheney Brothers is a unique opportunity to get high-quality items at very great prices. It is fun to stop in and see what unique items they have on their shelves that day. I do not think it would be a great place to do all of your grocery shopping. However, it would be either a great supplement to your shopping, or if you had to buy in more of a bulk. If you are in the area, and have the means to store a larger amount of food, I would recommend stopping!
