Once I got my food, I sat at the tables they have in a corner and got quite a bit of food. It's a good serving. After trying the Japchae, I understand now why this spot is so highly rated. The Japchae was well seasoned came with a lot of delicious veggies and a side of rice. If this spot was close by I would eat there on a weekly basis! Really great spot to check out when in Ocala.

We were on their bottom floor patio (which was lovely) but I did spy that they have a rooftop patio as well (what's not to love?!?). Everything from the food to the cocktails to the service was exemplary. For my cocktail I got their Old Colonel's Smoking Gun which was their twist on an old fashioned and was delightful. For my entree, I got their salmon entree. It's glazed and comes with a size of their crispy brussels and cheesy grits. The brussels were delish and their cheesy grits rank among some of the best I've had with sharp cheddar giving them the perfect flavor kick. The atmosphere was so pleasant. Starved .... I showed up at 11:15 AM craving Huevos Rancheros and found out they'd cut off breakfast at 11 AM. I get that restaurants have systems, but La Hacienda is in the perfect position to serve breakfast ALL day. Shift workers need breakfast all day. Truckers eat at weird times and also need breakfast all day. Nurses finishing graveyard shifts still need breakfast all day. The food quality and value here are genuinely unbeatable, which makes this so frustrating. So what's the deal with the arbitrary cutoff???? Why can't eggs be served all day? I've never understood this.
