Food: The khinkali and chicken dish were particularly delicious, showcasing the authentic flavors of Georgian cuisine. Was told by a Georgian friend that this place is as authentic as it can get and without looking elsewhere, to try this place out first which I'm so glad I did! Cost: The cost was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Environment: The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The interior was comfortable and provided ample seating. They even had a poster on how to properly eat a khinkali which I thought was cute. Service: The customer service was warm and friendly. The staff was attentive and helpful. Uniqueness: The restaurant offered a unique dining experience, showcasing the authentic flavors of Georgian cuisine. It was a great opportunity to try something new and delicious.

It is quite loud and tight in here, but the food is great! My first time having Georgian food. We got the Steak and Mushroom Cheeseboat and the Lamb "Chakapuli". Really enjoyed both because they were so unique. The lamb was on the saltier side though, so that was my only complaint. The bread is fantastic... one of my favorite breads ever.

I genuinely enjoy coming to Cheeseboat. It's not a place I go often, usually a few times a year. The food is wonderful. The ambiance is sideways very warm and welcoming. The service was a bit off tonight. I honestly think there was just a bit of a rush and not enough servers. It felt like there was just one person covering a very full restaurant, seating, bidding tables, running food, and taking orders. She did wonderfully but I think as a business they may need extra hands on a busy Friday night. There was also a random Titanic sign in the bathroom that I found amusing.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was surprised at the European vibes and great place to just chill. I ordered a beer and some dinner which obviously all homemade and fantastic. The service was perfect with when needed and always available, friendly, and accommodating.

There was only one chef working the night we went, and the food all appears to be made to order, which I appreciate. But the service was extremely slow, so probably don't come here if you are in a rush. I'm deducting one star because of the service. We tried the Kartvelian Salad, Imeruli Cheesebread, Leek It! Cheeseboat, and Bubba Cheeseboat. Everything was delicious. The salad was perfectly spiced and refreshing. There was a lot of cheese overall, but it didn't feel greasy. The ambiance is hard to describe. It's on the more eclectic and casual end. I think this place has potential but could be executed better. Overall it's a fun place to check out if you are curious.

You gotta get the cheeseboat! It lives up to how good it looks in pictures and videos and there are so many different types to order, make sure you get at least one when you visit. So yummy! I liked this restaurant a lot because I felt like I was in a bar in Europe. It's cozy and there's plenty of seating, even if you have a group of 6-8 people. I didn't try any drinks when I went but next time I think I would try a cocktail or one of their lemonades.

Amazing food and amazing service. One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. If you're looking for authentic Georgian food this is the spot. I'd highly recommend Cheeseboat.

I really enjoyed the food here! My favorite had to be the dumplings but everything was so good. I am a big lover of bread and cheese, everything had great flavor. The servers were great and stopped by a few times to check in (had a larger group). It wasn't crazy busy so it was a nice spot to have conversation and enjoy company! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful experience!! Everything we had was incredible and brought out quickly. We ordered 2 beverages, the plain cheeseboat, shrimp(bubba) cheeseboat, and the borscht soup. Service was very polite. Only down side is they open at 6 which is so late in my respectful opinion, and it's a tad on the pricy side at about 86 dollar total no tip or tax included. I think it is very expected given the area though. Overall, fantastic and will be back.

A quick walk from the Bedford L stop -- we were able to walk in and get a table for two with no wait on Friday night which was SO nice. Menu is perfect for sharing, we tried the Soup Dumplings, the Hummus, and the Steak and Mushroom Cheeseboat. Everything had such rich flavor, and it all came out pretty quickly too! My friend came to this place pre-pandemic, and has never stopped talking about taking us to try it. We finally did, and whew! He won this one. This place is such a great spot! The outdoor seating was packed and bustling, so we opted for the inside where we had the place to ourselves. It was great! Service was warm and attentive and all the food was so so tasty. Everyone who had a cheeseboat really really enjoyed it-- mine was the steak n' mushroom, and while I personally like my steak rarer than it was served, it was still well seasoned! The green sauce they served it (& the puff pastry appetizer) with was incredible, and I drenched it. (My only critique is that I wish it was on a plate with no paper, because by the end I was picking some wet paper from my forkfuls. ) But it was more than worth it and still really delicious! Looking forward to coming back other things on the menu. A sleeper hit for us was the Lobio (bean stew)-- it was plentiful and in a clay pot that was easy for us to pass around & sample. So incredibly well seasoned and served with bright and fresh pickled veggies. Liked our cocktails too! We all had a great time. Thanks to the team!

Really unique restaurant in Williamsburg! I came here with a group of friends on a Saturday night and it was packed. The interior is a bit small so it is really easy for people to bump into each other. The food was really tasty! It was my first time having Georgian food and the best way I could describe the cheese boat was it is like a pizza but the cheese is more like fondue. Definitely can be shared with 2-3 people and is on the heavier side. The dumplings were also tasty! They are huge and I honestly thing one per person is good enough. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would take visitors here to try something new!

You can't come to Brooklyn and not get a cheese boat at Cheeseboat! The traditional cheese boat is excellent and the tomato & cucumber salad was divine. The service was fast and friendly as well. Sit in the window seat on a lovely day and you won't be disappointed. Check it out!

On an unusually warm day in March, they set up the classy outdoor seating. I asked the server for recommendations - the menu is great for sharing and trying lots of different dishes, but I didn't want to overwhelm myself with too many calories. She was a gem and suggested: Eggplant Pkhali - I really love this vegan dip of eggplant, walnuts, roasted onion, garlic, coriander, pomegranate molasses, cilantro and pomegranate. It comes with fresh bread, that is crunchy outside and pillowy soft inside. It's perfection, refreshing, toothsome, and vegan! Khinkali - beef and pork soup dumplings were well folded, savory, and soupy on the inside. Red currant mocktails - pretty and refreshing! They also have an extensive wine, beer, and cocktail menu. I have also been here for lunch and had a number of other dips and salads and loved what I got. Chama Mama is great for a date or friends. I believe they will rent out the full restaurant for events. The vibe feels upscale yet simple, and everything is delicious. Prices are in the teens for appetizers and $30+ per entree. Recommend.

The menu sounded enticing and I'd recalled walking by previously and liking the aesthetic, so headed over for a late lunch one afternoon. At $29, the Taste of Georgia sounded grand--boasting an array of Georgian style veggies, smoked cheese and bread. In reality, it was a modest bowl packed with a scoop each of dip, two freshly baked fluffy rolls and a few shreds of smoked cheese. To my own fault, relying on limited experience with Georgian cuisine, I had somehow envisioned more of a cheeseboat as the bread and cheese surrounded by separate small dishes of vegetables (i.e. roasted beets, sautéed spinach, etc) so was a bit underwhelmed when a bowl with the likes of beet and spinach dips topped with two rolls arrived. While, I don't think the price reflects the dish, but rather is a reality of the current economy, the flavors were harmonious and I found the beet and mushroom to be the most enjoyable. Ordered the mushroom soup dumplings as well, which I found appropriately priced at $13. I appreciated that the server asked if I'd had them before then gave me a quick demo on how to eat them. It was a nice, hospitable touch. The dumplings were delicious with an incredibly thick dough, seasoned filling and cilantro heavy. I found them comforting (and sleep inducing). I ordered more bread for the remaining dip in the taste of Georgia. The second batch of bread was noticeably burnt, hard and not the fluffy, fresh kind I'd received with the initial dish. There was an additional $3 charge for this burnt batch which felt odd. All in all, I am still somewhat curious to try their other offerings and perhaps Georgian wine. But, if I do return it will be for the mushroom soup dumplings.
