First time back since the new owners. The place is less cluttered and easy to order now. I had turkey club on white roll and the pdpperjack cheese was a nice touch. Free pickle included

Running errands on Friday in Phoenix and passed by Cheese and Stuff around noon. We have passed by here numerous times since living in Phoenix for over 30 years. Today, we decided to give this small, old sub shop a try. There is no real inside dining and prodimantly a grab and go stop. A decent line formed inside. We ordered the Manhattan special with double pastrami, slaw, thousand island dressing and Swiss cheese on a hoagie roll. The other sandwich was pastrami with Swiss cheese. The meats are Boar's Head and served cold. The sandwiches were ok, not overwhelming or huge flavor bombs. The prices are reasonable and obviously a long-time sandwich shop in midtown Phoenix must be doing something right. I don't feel the need to return and try them again. Cheese and Stuff is a staple for the neighborhood high schoolers. Give them a try and draw your own conclusion.

The sign caught my eye of course and I just had to stop in with my son since he loves sandwiches and starving. The location is quite small with only a few barstools if you wanted to sit. It is more of a to go place. We were greeted instantly and it smelled heavenly inside. Baked bread is a favorite smell of mine. The menu has some great options. I opted for the Cactus Jack and my son a roast beef sandwich. There were quite a few orders before us so we sat and waited. They have shirts, snacks and other items available for purchase. Prices were good for the size of the sandwiches. When our food was ready we took it outside and enjoyed some of it in the car before heading home. They also included a few pickle spears. Both sandwiches were delicious. My son said his was in the top three of best he's had. He's picky about that roast beef so that's a compliment. I'll definitely be back.

I cannot lie. I'm disappointed. I've driven by this place so many times and was glad to hear they were renovated and reopened so I could finally try it. The good things are the aesthetic and old school vibe. Also the employee who took our order was very nice. The downsides? It took quite some time for us to wait for our sandwiches, and ultimately they're just ok. The sub bread is sub par, the veggies were a bit sad (comparable to Subway levels), and my bacon is kinda meek and flabby on my Turkey club. I will always support local over chain, and even gladly pay more to do so. I'm hoping this is just new, growing pains that need to be worked out with practice, but for right now, there are so many other sandwich spots in the area I would rather go to. Also, where's the cheese? It's sorta in the sammies, but I expected more cheese items given the name?

I was in the Central Phoenix area and noticed an old school sign reading Cheese and Stuff.. Lucky for me because I was hungry and it was a sandwich shop!!! The interior was quaint and and clean... Old School vibe!!! end up ordering hot roast beef on rye sandwich for $12.99. It was good with plenty of meat.. I would go again.

The new owners have done such a great job revitalizing this iconic shop! I've lived in the area for years and I was so happy to see it saved. It's well-run, the food is great, and the service is exceptional. Everyone is so friendly and happy to help, and they seem to really enjoy working together. The new outdoor seating is so cute too, plus all the fun merch and shopping inside. Happy to rep my cheese n stuff hat!

The neon sign is back on!

My first time back since the new ownership. Place has been cleaned up and feels fresh but still has the retro vibe. Definitely feels more like a business now compared to before. I think the prices went up a bit but understandably. Then menu is still the same and they worked with the former owners to stay true to the original sandwiches. They added one to the menu. I had a meatball sandwich. I liked it. Overall place is upgraded. Seems nice. Oh yeah the retro neon sign is back on and they have an outside back patio and some tables outside the front of the store.

Cheese N Stuff is a small, indie deli on Central Avenue in .., you guessed it ... Central Phoenix. Parking is limited and seating is more limited, so if you intend to stop by, plan on a "to go" order. The moment I walked in, the staff was on the ready to take my order. I appreciate small business and patron them when I can. I opted for the Italian Special. For meats, it should have included ham, salami and mortadella, but mine was missing the mortadella. Nonetheless, it was good and I'd order it again. I also requested the Pasta Salad. The portion wasn't especially large, but fine for a side. Sadly, the lid was not secured and the dressing spilled through the paper bag and all over my passenger seat. The Brownie was fine, though slightly dry. I'd like to return to try the Dough Boy. Next time, I'll double check to ensure everything is included and properly sealed.

Great place. Family operated. They use Boar's Head products. My favorite sandwich is the Doughboy!

Subs are tasty but small and expensive! Potato salad didn't taste yammi for me! Place by itself tiny!

My coworkers and I have attempted to come here for lunch multiple over the last few months during posted hours of operations but they are always closed. Any tips on when is a good time to actually catch this place open?

After many years, Stan retired. The new owners are making a few changes and then they will be opened once again with great surprise foods from around the World. Keep an eye on the website. We are still here!!!!

The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and the air conditioning worked great. Every employee we encountered was friendly and professional, but Lucinda, Jennifer, and Sidney really stood out. Lucinda noticed my daughter and me trying to find our room. The resort is huge, and the buildings are not very clearly marked, so we were looking a little lost. She stopped the golf cart she was driving by and offered to help us find our way. She could have easily driven past without stopping, but instead, she took the time to assist us. Her thoughtfulness and excellent customer service made a great first impression! Later, while we were enjoying drinks and dinner by the pool, Jennifer and Sidney were incredibly friendly, efficient, and attentive. They were excellent representatives of the Hilton brand and made our poolside experience even more enjoyable. The reason I am giving the resort four stars instead of five is the $39.95 daily resort fee. When booking, I did not see this fee clearly disclosed, and I found it excessive. The room rates are already substantial, and I believe amenities such as the pools, gym, and grounds should be part of the overall cost of staying at the resort. Unexpected daily fees like this are a major turnoff for me when choosing accommodations. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and the outstanding employees made it even better. However, the excessive resort fee is disappointing and would make me think twice about booking again.

Decent hotel/resort in the Phoenix area. Came here for a wedding, and the views and the facilities…read moreare great for a medium to larger party. Plenty of decently developed rooms that are modern enough, especially for a busy wedding weekend. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms are clean and updated, and prices are fair if you're booking early enough in advance. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking can be OK depending on where you're located in the resort - there are definitely some narrow spots that make it harder to get to and from your room easily. Plenty of large pools and spa space to hang out and relax w/ friends/family. They do charge an annoying resort fee as an add-on for all of the "amenities". Easy access to local and attached golf courses, if that's your thing.

Luci's at the Orchard is easily one of my favorite places in the Valley! The juices and smoothies…read moreare absolutely delicious, the food never disappoints, and the atmosphere has to be one of the best around. One thing I really appreciate is how convenient they make everything. From the water dispensers to the utensils, condiments, and even to-go boxes, everything is set out and easy to grab. I also love the counter-style ordering because the food always comes out quickly, while you can still sit down and enjoy the space without feeling rushed. The outdoor seating is probably my favorite part. The entire property has such a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere and feels like somewhere you actually want to spend time rather than just grab a meal and leave. There are also so many unique gifts to browse while you're there, which makes the whole experience even better. Between Luci's, the ice cream parlor, the tavern, the shops, and all of the outdoor space, there's so much in one place. It's also a great setup for events or getting a group together. Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, great drinks, and so much to do. Definitely one of those places I'm always happy to come back to!

CHILAQUILES UNFORTUNATELY WERE A MISS!…read more I will preface this by saying everything else was very good, so I will come again and update my review at that time. I came here for a breakfast date with a friend. They have a decent size parking lot. Upon entering, there is a great outdoor space with tons of tables, many with shade. Your order at a counter inside. I got Chilaquiles and a matcha, and my friend got a burger. Unfortunately my chilaquiles were the worse I've ever had! It seemed like store bought chips with sauce thrown on top, not fried in sauce at all. And the menu describes it as having pulled pork but these were chunks of meat. The provolone on top was a slice melted, no shredded cheese. It just didn't hit. My Mexican friend said the sauce wasn't very good either, I thought it was okay. I didn't even eat half of my meal. I will say, his burger was very delicious. Super juicy, and fries were cooked well. I thoroughly enjoyed my matcha as well. The chilaquiles were just so bad that I can't give a higher rating at this time. Since the burger was so good, I'd love to see what the other dishes taste like.
