Caesar Salad
Gary F.

We chose this spot mainly due to its location, diverse menu and the fact that it was open on Sundays. While I respect any business that chooses to close on Sundays, I'll say that people need to eat on Sundays as well! If I lived here, sure, I'd be happy to eat at home... but we're traveling and don't have the ability to cook! So kudos to Cheddars for being open. I originally ordered the herbed chicken but our server came back to inform us that they were out of it so I had to switch to something else and I chose lemon pepper chicken. I'm thinking the herbed chicken would have been better, since by its description, it was actual pieces of chicken and the lemon pepper chicken was more of a pressed patty made of breast meat. Not horrible, but not great either. The caesar salad was good - nice fresh lettuce and parmesan (I told them to hold the croutons)... the dressing was heavier than I'd like - if I had to do it over again, I'd get the dressing on the side. The croissants were delicious! Overall, this was a "mission accomplished" type of stop. Nothing fancy or special, but I don't think they are trying to be fancy or special... the servers were friendly and the place was clean. A solid option for someone on the go or someone who just can't or doesn't want to cook at home.

202402161810 Strange. Friday night with no waiting? Well, it is raining. Anyway, we sit quickly & Isaiah brings us Buttered Croissants, nice & warm. The Painkiller is a favorite drink & I'm trying a Maui Margarita with a shot of cactus juice. Mmmm-buddy. One's a tropical delight & the other is a coconut pineapple drink. Look 'em up. The Monte Cristo is a classic favorite. Smoked ham, smoked turkey & cheese, battered & fried, with raspberry preserves & powdered sugar. Boo-ya! Enjoy your meal in low lighting, high booths, funky spinning fans & a big fish aquarium. Clean place, fine foods, good drinks & Isaiah is great.

This is a popular place to eat since it opened in MJ and rightfully so. The wait isn't horrible. You can join the waiting list online by the way. The service is outstanding. The food is delicious. You get all of this for a very fair price as well. The wife and I both had a nice dinner for under $40 before tip. We had to wait all of 2 minutes to be seated. We were immediately greeted by a top notch waiter. They bring out these delicious complimentary sweet croissants that are really more like pastries. The blackened salmon was delicious. The wife loved her meal of pineapple chicken and shrimp. You can't go wrong at Cheddars!

Although our server at Cheddars believes "Kaden" is more superior spelled with a "C", our experience with him was probably the best we've ever had. He was not only attentive and quick to serve, but he was absolutely entertaining throughout the entire evening! My girlfriend and I shared that it was our 8 year anniversary, and he made sure to customize our dessert before it hit the table. His attention to every detail made our anniversary more special than just a night out. We recommend Cheddars, and we highly recommend Caden! Kaden Franco

Food was consistent, and croissants served for free were delicious. Service was definitely below par. Overall just a mediocre spot to eat, but a large menu which would be good for families or large groups.

New Orleans Pasta

I've eaten at Cheddar's in Alabama too many times to count, and I'm rarely disappointed. Though it has been a few years since I've been, I'm glad this location did not disappoint. My family always order the New Orleans Pasta, so since this was my boyfriend's first time trying Cheddar's I suggested he try that along with the butter croissants. Both were a hit and he loved it! I ordered the pasta as well and was stuffed after eating everything. We ordered curbside pickup which was an easy process and the food was well packaged. Based on his moans of joy from the pasta, I'm sure we will be back soon!

Country Fried Steak

Not my first time at Cheddar's and probably won't be my last, but this visit was a bit disappointing. I love Country Fried Steak and Cheddar's is one of my favorites when I visit the South. However, this time it was raw in the middle and inedible about halfway through. Luckily I had mashed potatoes and yummy green beans to dig into. I also ordered a Margarita which was OK.BTW it was huge! The first couple tastes were fine but I was done about halfway through. Our server was a sweet girl.

Chicken Tenders & Shrimp

This was our first visit to this Cheddar's location. We entered the restaurant and were seated quickly. Our waiter was friendly and took our drink and appetizer order. Our favorite appetizer at Cheddar's has always been the cheese fries, and these fries had plenty of cheese and bacon. Delicious! Our entrees were the Smokehouse burger with broccoli casserole and the shrimp & chicken tenders. These were both delicious and we had leftovers to bring home. I'm so glad we have this Cheddar's location near us. We look forward to visiting again.

Service was great and the fish was wonderfully cooked. Nice and relaxing too. Great place to visit.

The fries on the side, perfectly golden, amazing texture, phenomenal taste. Do not get me started on the ranch, genuinely the best ranch I have ever had in my entire life. The waiter heard this and gave me a to go ranch and it almost made me shed a tear. The waiter's name is Andy, he was amazing the whole time, got the table refills when needed, extremely nice, this guy was awesome. I personally think Andy deserves a raise, the service was unmatched. The entire place just feels classy, clean, professional, elegant, etc. I would recommend this to anybody and everybody I have/will ever meet. So.... A lot to unpack with this meal. We had chips and queso and salsa. It was good. Salsa was…read morespicy, but not too much. Queso was watery but had a good flavor. I had chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans. Chicken fried chicken was juicy and cooked well. Not much gravy on it though. Mashed potatoes were good, but the bottom of the mashed potatoes had a huge black portion in it. Not sure if it was bad potato or just had stuck to a skillet or something like that. I did not finish my mashed potatoes. The green beans were different. Tasted like they had brown sugar in them? Not sure what that tangy/sweet flavor was; but was not very pleasing in green beans. I only had one bite of the beans and couldn't eat any more. The cornbread was sweet but very dry. Maybe serve the cornbread with a pat of butter for some moisture and added flavor? My fiancé had grilled chicken breast with a baked potato. She ate all of her potato and just some of her chicken. She said it was good but not great. She did try her cornbread. It was also very dry. We do enjoy coming to this place to eat. The bar area is nice and the beer selection is good as well. First time I had their chicken fried chicken. Probably won't order it again. My fiancé said it reminded her of High School cafeteria food tonight. I would have to agree with that analogy. Do however try their chili and if you like burgers, they have a good Mushroom and Swiss burger here! Not our best experience at Corner Pub, but it was still enjoyable for a late Friday night dinner.

We have little kids so we bring our own booster seats, I tend to request a booth if possible due to having the kids with us. I will say my only real negative here is the fact that the booth is super long (made for a party of 6 or more) and the booth seats are super far away from you. I had to hold the back of one of the booster seats so my youngest didn't send her face into the table since she could very easily tip herself forward with all the space. The hostess was very nice and we were sat immediately, our server met us at the table, and got our drinks almost immediately. We ordered appetizers and kid's food and the kid's food was probably out in less than 5 minutes it was ridiculously fast (in a good way) my kids absolutely loved the Mac & cheese one of my children quite literally inhaled their food. We quickly got our appetizers and I will say they were all good! We had fried mozzarella, fried pickles, and pretzels with cheese. My husband said the pickles were good but he doesn't need to get them again if we come back. I personally loved the pretzels and we liked the mozzarella they are massive but really good the cheese pull is 10/10 Now food my husband got the Smokehouse burger and he said originally it was 6/10 before our waitress brought him a sweet BBQ sauce to go with it and then he said it was an 8/10 personally I tried the BBQ sauce by itself and I was not a fan but thats personal preference. I got the chicken pot pie soup and a side salad which I give both a solid 8/10 - I did try the kid's Mac & cheese and can say it was probably some of the best I have had in a while definitely not a store bought type mac and cheese Now I did see a couple of reviews regarding the claw machine being an issue with their kids based on location but honestly, my kids didn't even notice it, it was all the way in the far corner of the restaurant. Our waitress was quick and attentive, and the location itself was fine other than the massive table size (I did request a booth thats on me) music selection was good. Otherwise, I think it's a definite win for us, especially with how close it is to us, and it's not all the way down in Providence. I will say we did sit close to the kitchen and I don't love that you can see almost everything going on in the kitchen at all times, if I wasn't wrapped in the kids it probably would have bothered me more but it was fine Overall location, food, and ambiance I would give a 7/10

The space was warm, and I would've been happy if we'd stayed and gotten dinner here. The pig ears were so good. They were super crispy and served with sweet and sour sauce and mustard, which provided the perfect contrast. The sweet and sour sauce gave you that addicting, luscious flavor and the mustard had just enough pungency to keep you coming back for more. We demolished the bowl in probably record time. We also got the pimento cheese beignets, which were okay. They were deliciously fried pillows of dough that I felt could've used a bit more pimento cheese filling, but the pig ears completely overshadowed them. Devastated that nowhere around me offers this dish and I'll have to wait until the next I come back to get them again!

We overheard that they were short staffed due to a callout, but honestly, you would not have known it from how smoothly things were moving. Our waitress was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she got our order in quickly despite juggling multiple tables. My husband went with the hot club sandwich and fries, and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with onion rings. Let me just say, the food came out fast and absolutely delivered. My husband's sandwich had that picture perfect cheese pull moment that you hope for but rarely get, and it tasted just as good as it looked! My chicken salad was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. And the onion rings truly stole the show. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, lightly seasoned, and just the right texture with every bite. Easily some of the best I have ever had. It is easy to see why this place stays busy.
