We stopped here for lunch, everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and the food was great!

The food was surprisingly good. I had the eight (8) ounce, top-sirloin steak, cooked medium. It was prepared to my liking, and I would order it again. For sides (included in the price of the steak), I ate the coleslaw and broccoli casserole. Both tasted fresh, but the portions were minuscule. Since their non-alcoholic beer selection was nonexistent, I opted for unsweetened iced tea. At $3.00 for a glass, next time I'd order water instead. I paid extra for a side of French fries, and I devoured them all. Unfortunately, the service was subpar. Our server tried to seat my friend and me right next to the restrooms. We refused, and asked to be seated at a window. Mind you, we were the only customers in the restaurant at about 2:15 p.m., so the entire section was empty. She argued that we were "out of her section", and that if the restaurant filled up, we would have to move. Talk about inflexibility. What ever happened to accommodating the paying customer? I'm unsure if her resentment was the reason why I didn't get my drink refilled until the very end of my meal. I can't say that my tip was very generous. I'm unsure if I'll bother returning here or not. I can get the exact same foods elsewhere for similar prices, but with superior service.

So presentation, and as far as the place being clean, along with being nice inside, was a 5.. waitress was attentive, and sweet. We live three hours away and came to Jonesboro for a doctor's appointment, and decided to stop here since we've never been. We came around 11 right when they opened.. the croissants were pretty but stale, and the food had a nice presentation, but everything was cold, except for my husband's steak and sons chicken fried chicken. Queso was cold, meatloaf was cold, corn was cold, green beans was not done at all. Really hard and tough, and cold. The meatloaf also had a funny smell.! I will say this again though, the waitress was a gem (Autum) Glad for the experience but won't be back and no we didn't complain.

I'll start by saying I'm really surprised that this place only has 2.5 stars. I took my mom here for lunch on Saturday and I have no complaints. I was very pleased with our waitress who was very friendly and checked in often. I ordered the Monte Cristo which was AMAZING. I always have a hard time finding it in Atlanta so I was excited to see it on the menu. My mom ordered a salad which she liked as well. I highly recommend others to try the Monte Cristo if you want to try something different!

The mustard potato salad was the best that I've ever tasted. The Parsonage Club Sandwich was fantastic, with its flavorful aioli! They had a nice Nora Jones soundtrack playing. The inside decor was very eclectic with art, paper stars hanging from the ceiling, and mix-matched furniture. It felt very fun. We chose to sit in a booth by the window around 1:00. There was only one other table of patrons when we arrived. It was very cold inside, but it looked clean. I ordered a ham sandwich with chips. My mom ordered a pick two with half BLT and a half cup of chicken and wild rice soup. The wait was slow for some cold sandwiches and premade soup. My sandwich was good but it just tasted like regular deli meat on white sandwich bread. The chips came from a basket with two different types of sun chips, which were not my favorite. My mom's soup did not have any chicken or meat in it, just the broth and lots of beans. It was also very spicy, which unfortunately didn't work with her dietary restriction. She wasn't able to eat much of it. We both got drinks, as well, but never refills. Our waitress didn't come back to check on us. Together the bill was in the mid $30s + tax and a tip. It just felt overpriced for mediocre food and service. Cute place, but I probably won't go back.

I ordered a medium rare ribeye, which was slightly overcooked but still a very good cut of meat. I did not care for the coleslaw or the gouda macaroni and cheese. The meal was served with toast. The chocolate pecan pie with ice cream was good. I arrived at 6:30 and was given a glass of water that a drank immediately because i was thirsty. Any establishment that must function understaffed should be like Nashville clubs and set out a jug of water so people can refill their cups on their own. They took my drink order at 7. There were no empty seats at the bar so I sat alone at a table. The experience was OK but they need at least one more server. The only reason they get by with charging over fifty dollars for the steak is because there's literally no other place within 40 miles you can get a good steak. The sides are below average. The servers are friendly but obviously overworked. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of parking.

The restaurant portion of the building was almost empty, and I was seated almost immediately, but I was placed at a table in a high traffic area next to the kitchen. After a while, I flagged down an employee since it was unclear to me who my server was. I put in an appetizer order of their heavenly eggs. They included a wonderfully tart sauce, and the serving size was three eggs. The mushroom gnocchi that I had was delicious, and enough to feed two people. The potato dumplings were expertly made, and some of the best that I've ever eaten. Other than the service being a bit hit and miss, I would return if only for the excellent food.

5 stars times a million!!!…read more I was visiting my dad's for his birthday. I visited back in August and I'm still thinking about it. Before my flight back to California I needed one final southern meal (no good southern cookin on the west coast.) I am so happy I chose this place. First the staff, 10/5 stars!!! We didn't realize they were closing soon (about 30 minutes from the time of arrival) and showed up. The staff not only didn't even mention it but generously accommodated us! When we realized, we apologized and they were so kind and understanding. Now the food. WOW! So grateful I listened to my gut because I saved the best for last. We ordered a spread of food. Catfish, yams, fried chicken, collard greens, cobbler, etc. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Catfish was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Each bite almost made me cry tears of joy. Home cooked taste but from the friend/family member that can tear it up in the kitchen. You can taste the love, dedication and pride. The prices are worth it for the quality and quantity. The atmosphere was welcoming and chill. Definitely a good spot for a family dinner/lunch after church. Again staff were so warm and kind. Overall we had an amazing experience. If I lived closer it would absolutely be on my rotation. If you live nearby make it yours. You will not regret supporting this small business. I will be back as soon as I can!

You can not use a typical bun on this Caveman Burger. It has to be one that can stand up to the weight and the juices of the condiments as well as the meat. Then you add the bacon & cheese...WOW! Many want to know how this stacks up to the best burgers in the state. Well you can't compare this to any other than maybe the one at Cotham's In The City in Little Rock. If they made this like many of my favs this thing would completely fall apart and be dang near impossible to eat w/o a fork, but you can actually pick this thing up and eat it if you wanted. So too compare would be an injustice to this work of art. It's in a class all its own. This burger is a work of art in the cook, the build, and the stability. I refuse to put this up against another. If you wanted to order a regular burger there and compare then go for it, but that's for a return visit for me. As you can see we tried some other things as well. Enjoyed the chicken fried steak & mashed potatoes. So if you aren't in the mood for the meat sweats then there are plenty of other great options to this wonderful place. From the moment you step in, the decor, the building, the layout, the location, the hospitality, the staff, the quality, and I could go on and on. LOVE THIS PLACE! Long story short, I had eaten at another place owned by this family in Melbourne and hadn't even realized the connection. I can say I was far more impressed w/this joint then the previous one. I have zero complaints about the other, but they have become very well rounded in Cave City. It makes me so proud of our small town communities when I can go to a place like this and it be packed w/locals. It takes a village and I will give props to that area for keeping this place hoping. They deserve the support. The staff has earned the support. Show them some love when you visit! Tip well and enjoy!
