Well we decided to give it one more try and wasn't disappointed. Just like the last three times it was a bad experience and we are done. I ordered lunch special steak and salad medium rare. The atmosphere at Cheddar's is really nice. The food is pretty darn good as well. The Wisconsin cheese bites might just be the best appetizer I have ever ordered from anywhere. The bacon cheeseburger was good (not great). The buffalo chicken wrap was very tasty and HUGE. The loaded baked potato wasn't loaded with anything but oily butter and runny cheese, but that was the only part of our meal that was undesirable. The service was good this time around but it usually is okay at lunch. Dinner service sucks. I'll definitely visit again. read more

This was first time ever to a Cheddars. The food was good and for the price the quantity was excellent. Nice clean place. But way under staffed and service was extremely slooooow. The wait was terrible. Not worth the wait. Do not recommend and not goin back. Others have told of same experience. read more

Service has always been bad, which I feel bad for saying because I hate being the person that bitches about their waiter or waitress but honestly I've been several times and only had good service once or twice. The last time I was the there I ordered a miller lite bottle not draft and it took every bit of 20 minutes to get my beer. And the food isn't to bad I've had a lot worse. read more

When this restaurant first opened my wife and I declared this is our favorite place to eat. As time passed we have noticed that servers are herd to keep working here. Our trips began to become less frequent as the quality of food became less than desirable. We were there last month and when we walked in there were several empty tables and booths to sit. The hostess said it would be about 10 minutes before we could be seated!!! As we turned to leave a waiter said he could seat us and did. The waitress was not happy that she has to serve someone else and it was apparent, no eye contact no refills and best of all no TIP. read more

I have tried this place several times, I have never had a good experience. Either the food is cold, or the service sucks. Tonight everything was going well, the place was firing on all cylinders, which apparently knocked a hair off one of the cooks hair and directly into my Key West Chicken and Shrimp. So this one doesn't get another chance. I'm done. The manager took my entree off the ticket, but I had already sampled someone's hair. Too little, too late. read more

Disappointed in tonights meal and service. I took 2 guests with me tonight. We were expecting the great honey covered croissants that we had at the same location a year ago. I had also told my daughter how great the Key West shrimp and chicken was, since I had it not long ago in Lansing, Michigan (which WAS a good experience). So our waitress is really lacking in any enthusiasm or personality, it seems. Okay, so I am here for the food, not a warm bubbly personality.... the croissants were drowned in butter; made worse by the fact that they were not fully cooked on the inside. They were gummy. My food (the rack of ribs) was barely above room temperature... that includes the baked potato (which showed obvious signs of being capable of melting butter some time before it arrived at our table). My daughter's expression left no doubt that she was less than impressed with her meal. I looked at it and noticed that the bourbon sauce was missing. Without that it was nothing but dry chicken topped with shrimp, setting atop dry rice. I flagged the waitress down only to here her say "oh, yeah, we ran out of that earlier today... guess I should have told you". You think? I know that Cheddars is a modestly priced restaurant; still I expect: 1) my waitress to act like she is glad that we are there, inform us of any changes to the menu, and make an effort to compensate for any errors on their part (i.e., I really shouldn't have paid for that gummy bread, but she should have offered to remove it from the bill). 2) The food to be reasonably hot when it arrives at the table. I visit the area 2-3 times yearly to see family and friends. I really doubt that I will return. I certainly will not be the one to suggest it again in the future. Hope someone from their staff.. a manager, perhaps, will read this and take positive corrective actions so that no other customers will have the same "less than stellar" experience. read more

Nice atmosphere. Food is decent, and reasonably priced. Bar area is comfortable. Staff seems friendly and accommodating. Have been here roughly 4 times now. The only negative can be the wait times. I've had to wait to be seated before when there were many tables available. I assumed it was due to a shortage of waiters or waitresses. I've also been there during the weekday lunch hour and it took forever to receive the food. When I say forever, I'm talking about 40 to 45 minutes. Not good when most people are trying to get back to work within an hour or just a few minutes over. It's not a bad place at all. Maybe just needs a few minor tweaks here and there and all would be good. read more

Horrible staff/management and less than immaculate environment. When the restaurant first opened, we ate there frequently and had amazing service. We stopped frequenting about a year or two ago due to servers looking unkempt (dirty clothes/nails) with slow service. We went back today to give it another shot, hoping things had improved. I can't comment on the food because after waiting for over an hour to be seated, another large party came in (after we had been waiting an hour) and were seated immediately. We refused to stay and patronize a business who has such lack of appreciation or respect for our time and business. I/we will never be back. read more

I'm providing this review for the poor souls who have their money invested in this restaurant, the employees and for those considering this place a possible lunch option. My hope is that someone will take this place and turn it around because there is a lot of money at stake and people's jobs are on the line. This place is heading for a crash. 1st Wait Staff: Excellent - friendly and attentive. 2nd Décor: Fantastic - beautiful inside and out. Last, but most important, Food: Terrible - I've tried two different entrees (mine and my companion's) and some simple mistakes made the meal a complete mess. I had chicken fried steak, mash potatoes and broccoli casserole. The steak had not been tenderized, the breading was over fried, loaded with oil, and slid off the steak. The mash potatoes were good. The broccoli and cheese casserole had good flavors, however, it was improperly prepared and some of the rice dried out during the bake, creating scatter, rock hard rice kernels throughout the dish. It was like having little bits of gravel in your food. My companion had a club sandwich, but with no bacon or tomato (Who makes a club without bacon and tomato?). Potato soup had good flavor, but slightly over-thickened with flour making it paste like. I will not eat there again unless I found out that it's under new management. read more

I had heard from several different people that Cheddar's was not a good place to eat at all but I was up for trying something new and I decided to go there for lunch with a very open mind. I got there around 2:30 and It was not crowded at all, there were only 2 tables occupied when I went in. After being seated I waited 15 minutes for my drink order to be taken, which was confusing since the place was so empty. I ordered my food the same time I ordered my drink as to not have to wait another 15 just to put my order in. I had the Grilled Baja Chicken. After waiting the better part of an hour for my food and not seeing my waitress one time during my wait, I got my food. The chicken was so burnt on the bottom that I couldn't eat it. The only thing that was good on that dish was the black beans. I would completely understand having to wait so long if the place was packed but it most definitely wasn't.
