Nice location to eat with family. The ambience is quiet but casual enough to not feel awkward when eating with kids. The kids menu is descent usual stuff like chicken tenders and pastas. I enjoy the Key West Chicken and Shrimp with the pineapple salsa, it's light and very delicious with choice of two sides even with the rice it's served on top of. Save yourself the headache and don't go here. We waited almost an hour for meals for 4. When we were about to get up and walk out the manager came with our food and apologized to my husband tHat his would be out shortly because the chef dropped his salmon. Just wow lol. My first experience here was very lackluster, however I returned and got the bourbon salmon and LET ME TELL YOU! It was heaven in my mouth. I'm very picky with fish, especially salmon. It can be very fishy tasting, and not seasoned well. This was the exact opposite. I'm glad I have this place a second chance. I'm hoping they continue this trend as I will be returning! read more

Everytime I come here the food is phenomenal! They make things fresh and put a lot of quality ingredients into it. Their drinks are fruity and strong and you'll get a strong buzz quickly from it. The service is great as well and they help by walking you through the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences here and will be coming frequently. Ordered the 6oz sirloin (MR) w/mushrooms, on a bed of onion straws, sides were french fry's and corn. the first steak came our overcooked, the manager came out and had it redone, and it was perfect. Everything we ordered at this restaurant was delicious. From the chicken pot pie to the giant baked cookie..... Side salad came with a croissant that had a sweet butter on it, probably my favorite out of the whole night. The service was OK but she was new so I'm giving a pass and still giving 5 stars. One of my fave restaurants in Jacksonville, NC. Nice clean and modern dining setting with friendly staff. Although I have tried a few other items, I always go for the BBQ ribs. I am VERY picky about ribs. These ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, have a tasty rub/sauce combo, and are just finger-lickin delicious. Restaurant atmosphere was great! Huge fish tank, menu video in lobby, and leaf fans (they were neat to look at). My husband and I ordered a burger and spagana--spaghetti lasagna) and split each. The burger was good but not as good as my favorite burger (trailer park by burger from Winnie's Taven). The lasagna was good but heavy (if you order this be extra hungry). Our son had chicken tenders and fries which he enjoyed. The honey butter biscuits were super good! We had some dirty silverware which was gross but the waitress apologized and brought fresh silverware out. The desert cookie was good! The cheesecake sample didn't taste like cheesecake. It was more like whipped topping with gram cracker crumbs. Overall good environment, good prices, okay food, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to eat at. read more

I Iove the food here but will never order another glass of wine here. They claim it's standard and that may be, however, that is the lowest quantity standard of wine that I have ever received at a restaurant. This was our 1st time to Cheddars. The place was nice and inviting with upscale feel. It was a Friday eve at about 7:30pm.It only took us 2 minutes to be sat in bar area. Addison was our waitress, who was friendly. We could tell right off she was quite busy and perhaps pre-occupied. We ordered a mojito and Long Island ice tea w/2 waters. We got our drinks but no coasters or water. Not a huge deal, we still had the important drinks. It was just too bad the drinks were FAR too sweet. We had to ask Addison to replace w/different drinks. We ordered an appetizer that Addison wrote down, however, we never got the app. We got the waters with our new drinks, which were better balanced. The Monte Cristo was great, to which is impossible to find in va the way they cook it, fried. The ribs were ok. Chkn fingers not bad. Addison never realized we didn't get our app. But my husband and I weren't stressing about it. I asked for a to go box w/a small ramekin to go for jelly. I only got the box, but again, I wasn't stressing. We were given cookies since it was our 1st time, which were yummy. The check still had the drinks we sent back, so I had to remind that they be taken off. I was a waitress for 12 years, so gave Addison the benefit of a doubt that she was either in the weeds or having an off day. read more

Stopped in for the first time yesterday and I was so impressed! The outside of the building looks cute and quaint and it honestly looks like it'd be an upscale restaurant. I got there around 4pm so there wasn't much of a wait-we got seated right away. Our server Kisha was AMAZING. By the far the best server and service I've ever received in my life. She was knowledgeable about the menu and offerings and she welcomed us to the restaurant since it was our first time. She was nice and friendly and checked in on us just the right amount. She had refills coming in a timely manner. The food was also super good. We had chips and queso with beef for a starter (the beef can be added for free!!) and it was really good. Their chips were homemade and seasoned well. I had the chicken tender platter with french fries and Mac n' cheese. The chicken was so juicy and tender and was crispy and crunchy with the breading. The Mac n cheese was just tasty and satisfying. Their house made bbq sauce was bombbbb. My husband ordered the Spasagna with meat sauce. It was a great rendition to the classic spaghetti and the sauce was really good. It came with garlic bread which was made perfectly. Cheddars looks like a fancy place that would charge outrageous prices for their food, but the prices were really good and the portions are generous. On top of the great service and food, the manager stopped by our table since it was our first time in and thanked us for coming in and trying them out. She also gave us cookies as a thank you.
