I am not normally a chain eater but I went along because my co-workers chose and I hadn't been in a while. Ate here last night with a friend and it was delicious! Great service and drinks! Did I mention there was a full bar? I had them to make me a French Martini (Grey Goose, Chabord, and pineapple juice) and a Grey Hound (vodka, grapefruit juice with a splash of pineapple juice. I had to add a splash of mango in the grey hound to tone down the grapefruit which was really good. Talk about perfect!! The atmosphere was very nice as well! I just got home after ordering takeout and I ordered the buffalo grilled chicken wrap. Well it's only grilled chicken minus the buffalo sauce. The food was great, but the service was unacceptable. Two different waiters bright food to our table that we didn't order. After twice requesting an appetizer, it was never delivered to our table, with no explain given. Thankfully it wasn't our any of our bills. Our waiter was rude to us; one of my friends ordered a mango tea, but was brought a refill of strawberry tea. When he pointed this out, the waiter was very defensive about it and argued with us (we weren't trying to make it a big deal, but there were literally strawberries floating in it). Went here last night for my birthday. The service was great the food was great even the prices on the food. But the drinks on the other hand not so much. I got a piña colada which was good and the price was $6.50 but my husband got a crown and coke and it was the size of a shot glass! So tiny couldn't even hold it. Spilling every where. Cheddar's is a "Casual Café" located on 210 North Anderson Lane in Hendersonville, Tennessee. This is a great location because it is near the mall and several other different businesses, and the drive is only minutes away. It is open Sundays through Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00a.m. to 12:00a.m. It is one of the few restaurants in this area that will serve customers late. Parking is always usually always available; however, on days when they are overcrowded, it can be difficult to find a close spot, but there are spaces in the back that are relatively close. On weekends, when Cheddar's is at is busiest, the wait can range from twenty to forty-five minutes, but it is worth the wait. Cheddar's is a very popular food chain in this area. It has a relaxed and home like atmosphere. The exterior is made up of stone which gives it an earthy tone, and there is a stone water fountain in front outside. The interior is mostly made up of wood and brown and tan tiles. When customers walk in, they are warmed by the fireplace that lies next to the host stand. In the middle of the dining room are two large tropical paddle fans that keep the customers cool. By the bar is a huge fish aquarium that contains an abundance of colorful and unique fish, which is also visible from the dining room. The tables are made of a dark wood and the customer has their choice of sitting at either a booth, individual tables, or outside. In each hall there is a large flat screen television on the wall located on both ends of the hall. They serve a variety of. American food, such as chicken, steak, ribs, seafood, and pasta entrées. They also have burgers, salads, kid's meals, and garden vegetables; customers can also order their meals to-go. They provide an assortment of different kinds of soft drinks and teas, and there is a bar that sells several alcoholic and virgin drinks. They are well known for their fruity teas, which come in a variety of different flavors, such as strawberry, raspberry, mango, banana, peach, and lemon. At the bottom are tiny bits of fruit that makes them taste even better, and these flavors can even be mixed together. According to the Cheddar's website, all of their food is homemade and well prepared from scratch. A favored dish to start out with is the Santa Fe Spinach Dip ($4.99), which is prepared with a mix of spinach, Southwestern spices, four different types of cheeses, and is top with a scoop of sour cream in the middle and is served with homemade salsa and crunchy tortilla chip. This appetizer also comes with free tortilla chip refills. The prices at Cheddar's are very reasonable, more so than other restaurants. Many of their prices range from $3.99 to $10.99 for appetizers and entrée, and they serve noticeably large portions for these low prices. After ordering an entrée, it takes some time to arrive because the cooks take their time to freshly prepare each dish to perfection. A highly recommended dish is the Key West Chicken and Shrimp ($9.49). The hosts at the front desk always greet people with a smile and an upbeat attitude. They are very patient and take the time to find and seat people at their desired tables. Servers are enthusiastic, polite, and attentive. Many servers are very familiar with the menu and are unafraid to suggest which dishes are the most delectable and better for your money. Even on nights when Cheddar's is very busy, servers remain relaxed and accurately take everyone's orders and make sure to bring them as quickly as possible. Before seating guests, employees make sure to thoroughly clean their table and that all silverware is spotless and neatly wrapped up before it is giving to the customer. Overall, Cheddar's receives four and a half stars out of five because of its relaxing and casual environment, its homemade dishes, and great customer service. The only issues is that they are sometime crowded, and the wait is usually a couple of minutes. The noise level in Cheddar is also very loud, which many people may find unpleasant. 11/17 Went for lunch. 15 min wait. Were sat at a dirty table with dirty dishes on all the tables around us. Got the queso as app and i think it was rotel and velveeta barely warmed up. Gross. I got a ckicken pot pie. Took almost an hour and it was not done. And by not done, I mean the 'crust' was soft and the inside was cold. I almost think it wasnt even cooked. My friend had a montecristo sandwich and it looked like part of it had been eaten. Had to go get silverware and it was dirty. Couldnt get a single napkin. My wife and are enjoying Cheddars at this location for the first time. We were both a bit hungry so we decided to come here. For vegetarians the entree list is just one item: The vegetable plate, but after choosing the salad you have four sides to select from about ten items. About half of the appetizers are vegetarian friendly. We decided on the onion rings which were interestingly stacked in two tall stacks interlaced quite artistically with Cajun sauce and ranch dressing to choose from for dipping. Desserts look scrumptious but we were full before we got to that point. Ambience is quite nice with the dark wood panels and ceiling. We wanted to try something different for lunch, and I'm glad we gave Cheddars a try. The Texas Cheese Fries jumped off the menu at us, and they were great. Crispy fries, ooey-gooey cheese, bacon, and ranch dip made for a real treat. Even without getting fries with our sandwiches, we couldn't finish the cheese fries. My wife had the mushroom burger, and she liked it. I was delighted to find a Monte Cristo on the menu, and was even more delighted when I got it. We're still waiting. Food arrives several minutes later. One meal had black beans that had been sitting under the heat lamp they were completely dried out. We had a birthday dinner tonight with a party of 10. We were told in advance that there would be a long wait due to being short staffed. We were okay with that. Once we were seated our server Jonathan was amazing! He was patient with us while we all were deciding what to have, our food was very good. Jonathan made sure to check on us often to see if we needed anything. He never let a glass go empty before bringing a refill, everything anyone asked for he got to us quickly and never left anything off. She said it will be a fifteen minute wait. So we wait I see on her seating chart after fifteen minutes three tables that came in after us are seated. Cheddar's has been a long time favorite place to eat of mine. The food is great and the service quick and friendly despite how busy they are. However, in the past year, the Cheddar's located on Indian Streets Lake, I have noticed the place losing its appeal a bit. Some of the benches need replacing, and there has been food droppings, trash behind the bench, in the cracks, and under the table. This is not what I want to see when I'm out for a meal with friends. Probably just needs a good overall cleaning and/or checking for repairs. read more

We went for dinner on Saturday night. Not too long of a wait. At our table I told the waitress about a gluten allergy as I ordered off your gluten friendly menu. I ordered the steak and ribs with vegetables. Food took a long time to arrive, of course mine had onion straws under the steak. When the waitress came back she seemed annoyed that I wanted a new dish. She assured me they would recook it all, as if there was another option. Needless to say my family had cold food by the time mine arrived. A manager brought it, no apology, nothing! I love the food and the prices. The only complaint I have about Cheddars is the....clientele....they attract. Come in any night of the week and you'll find large groups of loud, obnoxious urban people that crowd the doorways and have absolutely no care for anyone but themselves. They let their children run around and carry on like they own the restaurant. Cheddars can't do anything about this, but it's definitely not a good place for a nice family dinner or a date night. A friend and I sat at the bar and had mixed drinks and an appetizer. There is one thing about this place, you get a lot for your money. The drinks were $6 apiece and they are well made and not stingy with the alcohol. We had the chicken nachos. Very good. I like that they make each chip it's own bite and not pile all the stuff on top of a mound of chips. This way every bit gets the meat and cheese. The salsa, sour cream, etc are on the side so you can put what you want on it. Four drinks and an appetizer cost is under $40 before tip. I feel the need to post an update..our last two visits the service has been absolutely horrible. We waited 35 minutes for a plain hamburger and a chicken salad. The lady next to us came in approximately 10 min after we did, ordered her food and had her steak & shrimp half finished before I got my salad, how do you possibly explain that? The manager offered no apology, my server vanished after bringing us the check which was still the full amount. I finally found the manager at the hostess station and had to basically force my debit card on her to take my money so I could leave.
