Best value concept meal!! The Asian Chicken salad is an exact 'knock-off' of the Cheesecake Factory's Hawaiian Lua salad....except is $5 CHEAPER! The Tilapia with mango salsa is also fabulous. I love that they have added edamame as a side option. Mark (our server) was a breathe of fresh air with loads of energy. He should get 5 stars! read more

From cold food to horrible queso and a rude manager. Management is about resolving issues not being rude. I simply asked if the queso was gonna be comped and was treated like I was an idiot because he was mumbling at our table. Hopefully he sees this review and changes his attitude. read more

Went there Sunday night with a group of 12, manager or the guy who was asked by three attendant to accommodate us, was rude. He said all tables were not movable, which I know they are since we've been he before. Wanted us to set separated in booths. Or wait for 1 hour so he could accommodate us were it was convenient for him, since we heard the real problem was he was missing a server. He lost 12 dinners. That won't return that used to go there once every 2 months. read more

This used to be my favorite place on this area, until last month. As we waited at our table, we noticed a group of middle aged ladies waiting to place their order and speaking Spanish casually, then a young waiter came in and ask for their ID and said it was because they have an inspection; however none of the the other patrons were asked to produced an ID. We looked at each other and felt bad for them and promised we would never again eat at such a place. I'm not sure if this is something encourage by management or it was a misguided waiter with a strong bias towards other ethnicities but this is plain wrong and should not happening in a place like this. read more

Every year I go to Cheddar's in Garland off 190 to have my favorite birthday dessert for free, the Monster Cookie Dessert. Today we went back and found out they no longer offer this free dessert for your birthday anymore, after we finished it off! It would have been good if they had told me that ahead of time, as I explained I come back every year to celebrate my birthday because I love that dessert. Very disappointed in Cheddar's not for changing their policy, but for not telling me and then not making it right. :-( read more

Went out for a family dinner last night and I can not be more satisfied! All the food came out quickly and it was hot and fresh! I ordered the lemon chicken and two sides being mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese which was heaven!! Our server Emily was very nice and checked up on us every once in a while so we never had empty cups! Defiantly will be back here soon with the family again !!! read more

The food here gets a 5 star but the waiters bring it down to a 2 star. I have great luck eating at the Cheddars on 635 & Greenville, don't go to this location. read more

Recommend reservations. We had a large group, 14, for dinner. When we arrived our tables were ready. We had one server for our entire party, The restaurant had a steady dinner service. Jeremey. did an excellent job from taking our drink orders to the final bill. All the dinners came out hot. Shrimp dinners were golden; chicken tenders with honey mustard were moist; the steak was cooked as ordered and the salads were as described. We had one dinner delayed. The chicken on the chicken Alfredo dinner was overcooked. Jeremey informed us of the delay and the dinner was brought out in about 5 minutes. It was worth the wait. The hot chocolate chip cookie topped worth ice cream, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry was yummy. We shared 1 for every 5 guests. A pleasant atmosphere, attentative wait staff and good food. read more

Cheddars is my favorite place 2 eat and drink but this location is garbage and so is a few waitresses!!

This was once one of my favorite places. Unfortunately, this was not a good night! Had to send a salad back because it was warm and the staff was just pathetic. Trash by the bathroom doors not cleaned & the food was just OK!!! No longer a good spot!! read more

Great price for great food. I can't remember ever being disappointed here. The Texas style cheese fries are the bomb!!!! Decent drink prices as well. read more

The worst experience I ever had in any restaurant before, which made me decide to write the first review, I thought talking to the manager "Jose" will solve the problem, but he made it worse by showing me how careless and unfair he is. We suffered waiting for more than 45 minutes because we were a party of nine people including a nine months pregnant women and a senior in a wheel chair man, we gave the restaurant a courtesy call to let them know that we are on the way if they could arrange a table for us, he said they can't reserve any table but there was no waiting time expected which was good for us, 10 minutes later once we arrived they told us the waiting is 30 min, After 45 mins, I decide to talk to the manager, he told me that 2 tables can fit us all and the customer on one of them just got there food, so I mentioned to him if they jus got there food that means they came after us and got seated before us unless they came before us " more the 45 min ago " and they just got there food, which makes this restaurant look worse more and more, he didn't let me finish my point to ask me "if I'm welling to keep waiting or what " in a very rude way. No apologies, bad attitude, no one through our wait checked in with us or seemed to care. I now see why many people I know talk badly about Cheddar's. read more

Walk in, wait isn't long which was good. We had a party of 6. Get to the table, booth and it was nasty. The table top was dirty and both booth seats had greasy/sticky spots everywhere. Underneath the table looked like a trash can. I said something about it only to get a blank stare from the hostess. We all sat and then the others in our party noticed the table was indeed DIRTY and told the hostess. The waitress walked by and the hostess tells her "they say the table is dirty ave want you to sweep under it" The waitress then says "the table was cleaned, I saw it being wiped down". At that point I think we were all ready to go. We got up and started to leave to be laughed at by a couple waitress bystanders. This Cheddars has really gone downhill which is sad because we like the food. But the service is ridiculous. Very unprofessional, immature kids working. The restaurant felt so grimy and dirty last night. And rude responses from the employees/waitress when we expressed that our table was not clean. Disappointed. read more

Nice, clean place. Staff is attentive. Food is good.

Cheddars has the best foods and the bartenders there are never stingy with the portion of liquor in the mixed drinks. Only downside is that they close at midnight. read more

And my return trip was wonderful...wish i knew our waiters name so I could give him a shout-out. We sat in the bar again and had great service. The firefly sweet tea is my favorite drink but my friend said their mojito was just like you would have in Miami. Before you go sign up for their email list...it got us a free onion ring appetizer...and thats a whole lot rings! read more

I love Cheddar's, i always go to this location because it convenience. I like their baby back ribs and chicken tenders, never miss out on that whenever i go. Mushroom burger is good too, if you like mushroom. First time i ever had Monte Crisco at another location and it was good. So i want to order that again, and this time i didn't like it so much. I guess depends who's the chef back there. If i really like something i tend to stick with it till i couldn't have it anymore, lol. As long as the food is good, I'm there. read more

I really like our cheddars. Quality food, large portions, and great prices. My one complaint is, if you have kids it seems that they shove your party in a back room and you can pretty much forget about great service. read more

Ordered queso right when we walked in and it never came. That was a small mistake but we did tell the Manager when our food came out that the queso never came out and to just void it completely. So our food comes out and I cut into my chicken friend steak two bugs came out crawling. Called the Manager over and he started the conversation saying "what now" and we pointed at the bugs crawling and he did absolutely nothing about it. We then ask for the check and the queso we ordered and never received was still on the ticket and the meals we both didn't touch bc two bugs crawled out. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MANAGER!! read more

Service was slow, chicken Caesar pasta salad had 3 noodles in it, when asked for more pasta, they bought us a bowl of frozen pasta. Ordered Diet Coke, no carbonation- asked for another, waitress says all drinks are like that. Their soda machines don't work properly. 80's hair band music blaring, can hardly have conversation. Bad experience. Won't be coming sad. read more

You can't beat the prices at Cheddar's. The menu ranges from salads to burgers to steak and every thing in between for reasonably good prices. It gets pretty crowded here sometimes but that's pretty much it. The service has been great every time I've gone and I've gone a lot because it's right by my house. All the dishes I've tried have all been great but I would say my favorite is the grilled tilapia with mango salsa. You get to pick two sides and I always pick their mashed potatoes and corn. Their servings are all very big and you'll always leave stuffed! read more

Good place for affordable American cuisine. I like to get the onion rings as a starter. They are large and you get plenty. A favorite plate is the chicken tender plate. You get a ton of tenders and 2 sides. Try the tenders buffalo style if you want a spicy twist to them. I would give a 5 but service ranges from ok to not very good. Be careful about the little electronic kiosk at the table. One touch from your kid and you are paying $1.50 for something you didn't intend to. read more

Very friendly service and the prices for food and drink can't be beat. We ate on the patio due to the weather being so nice and we weren't disappointed. The wait staff was just as attentive to us outside. The steak, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese and rolls were really good. read more

The ONLY reason why I'm giving this place two stars is because my dinner was actually good. The Blackened Catfish dinner plate with mashed potatoes and southern beans met my expectations. NOTHING else did! We walked in with a party of four. Without asking, the unfriendly host walked us directly to the bar. Why? Weird? Ok I guess? Then the non-verbalizing waitress mumbled things to us and took our order. Drinks came, good so far. About 20 minutes later two other staff members brought us our dinner. (Still no waitress siting) we finished our meal in an average time(30 minutes or so) STILL no waitress! Empty glasses! But there was a really dirty dessert menu. FINALLY! She arrives, still rude, still mumbling. Eventually drinks were refilled and check appeared. read more

I've always loved Cheddars and I've been to this location once or twice and it was always good but for some reason today, it was absolutely excellent. Reminds me why I like it so much. Chicken Caesar pasta salad is always my favorite but today had a Monte Cristo sandwich and it was so yummy! And the crescent rolls are to die for, especially when they're fresh and warm. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH CHEDDARS!!!!!!!! Went Tuesday to celebrate a graduation, we got there a couple of minutes after 3pm and the parking lot was empty. We checked in for 11 ppl and the manager asked if we could sit in booths back to back... ummmmm no sir we came together, so we want to sit together!!! After we said No, he very rudely stated it would be 45 mins!!! How?! You have no one here!!!! Too bad for them cause we gladly took our 300 plus ticket to Outback!!!!!!! read more

I used to like this place but I had a pickup order and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived and paid for the meal they said the kitchen didn't have the order so I water for about 30 more minutes and then they said they ran out of bread and they would refund me. I waited another 10 minutes but had to leave for a family emergency. I called later after the family emergency was done to see if they could refund the food I didn't get and the general manager said no. I guess I'll go somewhere else that respects their customers. read more

Get the Shepherd's Pie, Chicken Pot Pie and for sure the Onion Rings. Hands down the best Onion Rings anywhere.

If you want a good basic, American style meal Cheddar's is a decent choice. It isn't anything amazing, and it isn't anything horrible, it is solid and the portions are good sized for the price. The Husbeast and I go here once in a while when we want dinner out but don't feel like going too far from home. They have a pretty decent steak, tender and always cooked correctly to order. The salads are fresh, with your standard options for dressing. The croissants that you get with them are tasty, though I am personally not a fan of the honey butter they drizzle over them. Service is usually pretty good. Our last visit we had a young lady named Taylor, and she did an excellent job of getting our orders in quickly, getting the food to us without delay, and keeping our glasses full (one of the most important details of good waitservice!). However, I have to admit that I did get annoyed at one thing. Our booth was near the kitchen entrance, and there were three young men (two seemed to be servers and one seemed to be designated as the person who was to deliver food to people's tables) who did NOT seem to be there to work. They hung out, standing with their backs against the wall in the walkway by the kitchen door, and just joked around and talked with each other. At one point two of them were jokingly harassing one of the female servers who was trying to get food to one of her tables. VERY inappropriate, and extremely distracting. They obviously knew that they were doing something wrong as any time a manager would come near them, they would break up and hurriedly look busy, but as soon as the manager was gone they were back in that spot "hanging out". This is not good behaviour even on slow nights, but this was a Friday night around 7:30 p.m., in the middle of the dinner rush. Our own server, however, was excellent and fully on top of everything. She smiled, made sure that we were happy with our food, brought a box right away when I couldn't finish my steak and ribs (which were EXCELLENT), and took the same excellent care of her other tables near us. Cheddar's is a decent place with decent food. What they are NOT is dazzling. But if you don't want dazzling, you just want a hot, filling meal for a reasonable price, go ahead and stop in. read more

Been here many times...food is quite affordable and normally a huge portion. Definitely fills me up. Make sure to try the cookie monster.

My daughter and I had lunch here on Monday. The first bite of salmon my daughter takes she gets a mouthful of hair! I show the waitress who was apologetic & promises to have them remake my daughter's order. So I'm sitting there, my food getting cold because I can't eat if my daughter doesn't have her plate & they basically took the hairy piece of fish off the plate and put another in it's place and left the original servings of sides as they are stone cold. A manager NEVER came to speak to me and I had to pay full price for my meal. I wasn't even offered a dessert. I was just blown away by the unconcerned attitude about the whole incident. read more

I have gone to this restaurant particularly multiple times (Not by choice but because that seem to be the place that my friends usually pick to meet up sometimes). The waiting time at night for you to be seated always takes forever, whether its on a weekend or weekday. Upon being seated, getting your drinks takes another 10-15 minutes... The waiting time to even get your food out is at minimum 30 - 45 minutes. I remember one time when I went with a few (4) friends... from the time it we parked the car in their parking lot to the time we got done with everything and paid for our meals, we were there for nearly FOUR HOURS. The food is ok, nothing to be bragging about. The price was ok also, but the waiting time for this particular restaurant at this location just really killed it for me. read more

alright... when this place opened up years ago, a group of church members went (my family included) and we did not have a very memorable experience.. at least not the kind that keeps you coming back for more (it took years to sum up the courage to come back here!) i'm so glad that we did! i came in with my parents, sister and niece on a busy saturday afternoon.. the staff left a little something to be desired, but pleasant enough considering it was busy and they looked like they were all in training, but eager to please with ready smiles.. the food, though, made up for the service.. my picky 3-yr-old niece ate all of her kid's chicken fingers (always a good tell!), my picky mother enjoyed her napa chicken sandwich (VERY pleasant surprise), and the rest of us also finished off our plates (no "to-go" boxes for us)! we so enjoyed our meal that we returned the next monday for lunch! one tip: bring a sweater!! read more

Awesome wait staff had a great experience honestly! I would definitely reccommend this cheddars nothing negative to say

One of the best chicken fried chicken plates I've had! Two breasts, crisp corn, real mashed potatoes and a piece of Texas toast. Crispy breading that's thick in spots just like I like it. Service was great. Iced tea was good. read more

Typical Cheddar's fare. Everything was very good! I gave it 5 stars for 3 reasons. We were seated quickly on a relatively busy Sunday afternoon, our waiter Jackson was amazing, and we had a toddler with us and our waiter was so friendly and sweet to him. Jackson was just awesome. He was quick, he refilled our drinks quickly, all of our orders were correct, he even joked around with us a little bit. A lot of people are annoyed by toddlers saying hi and just being kids but I was just delighted to see Jackson acknowledge our little person! Overall it was a good experience and I'm very glad we went. Also, the spinach dip was great. And Cheddar's has amazing tortilla chips! read more

Not a great night for the cheddars kitchen. My plate was dirty when my food was served pointed it out, manager came out and tried to correct. I elected not to have another plate with a new portion. I ordered the BBQ chicken legs gtrs. The bite I had before discovery of dirty plate was dry not much of a appetite after that. Not sure what the draw is here maybe drinks? Really no reason for me to return. Enjoy read more
