Our first time at Cheddars and didn't expect the "from scratch" quality and service at what was a very reasonable price. The Maui Margarita does not disappoint and the chicken tenders are indeed a staple, cooked perfect with very light breading. Our waiter Mark was very attentive and the GM stopped by multiple times to check on us. We just hope that other locations live up to this experience. read more

Had a bad experience with the service process. Talked with the manager about it, and was not offered anything to make our experience better. Our server, Robin, was very apologetic, but received very little satisfaction faction from anyone else. read more

Love Cheddars always! The food is always so tasty and the prices are so reasonable. They make everything from scratch and I think that contributes to the tastiness! Also had a yummy sangria and margarita with this visit! read more

I like Cheddar's a lot. The food is good - not like, uber-fantastic, but good - and the prices are more than reasonable. My dad and I were regulars here for a couple of weeks while we dealt with some medical stuff at the doctor's office nearby. The wait staff recognized us and were always friendly. The plates are large, and you'll probably leave with leftovers. read more

I didn't realize that all the Cheddars have the same decor. This is a family friendly place. The Crispy Chicken salad is really good. It comes with a hot buttered crossiant. Yum! The portions are more than enough. The broccoli cheese casserole is also pretty tastey. The staff was very attentive and our food arrived quickly. The prices are great. read more

It's a Friday night, so I know normally there can be a wait. So I called Cheddar's off N garland Ave to simple ask "Hi, How long is the wait for two?" rudely the reply I got was "Um we can tell you whenever you walk in". Very rude and super unfriendly. Never mind on going there. read more

A favorite amongst my family. The food is always consistently good and everything is highly affordable. Be sure to save room for the cookie monster dessert. read more

I really like this place! I've come to Cheddar's for lunch twice and am excited to go back a third.. I had the Chicken Fried Steak the first time (which I am told is "a Texas thing") and the Pork Tenderloin the second time.. both were excellent. Don't worry about leaving hungry, as servings are large and come with sides. A colleague of mine ordered the "Baked Spasagna," and holy cow, that thing is huge! I'm trying that next time! You'll be surprised at how reasonable the prices are here after seeing the portions.. lunch generally runs $8-10 per person. read more

I usually don't dine out at American restaurants, but I really like this place! Ordered the spinach dip and chicken pot pie. I got full from the dip and barely had room for the pot pie. Whoops. The price you pay for the amount of food is great! Service was great and it was crowded, but hey. You're here for daaaa foooooood! My only complaint is that the chicken pot pie gave me headache.. but I'm willing to try out the rest of entrees here. read more

Very affordable and good food. Great family atmosphere and friendly and capable servers. I had a steak and chicken with a loaded baked potato. Delish! This establishment was clean and I recommend it anyone that wants a good home cooked meal. read more

When here for lunch today. The service was really slow to begin with. At one point had to track down the server for tea fill ups after waiting for about 15-20 minutes for her to come back to the table and do it on her own. The Server obviously did not listen to us order. I ordered the BBQ chicken with fries and a salad. Waited it seemed for about another 15 minutes to get the salad. Then about 5-10 minutes later the meal came out and was wrong. It was chicken tenders with BBQ sauce sprinkled on it. I have not even seen this dish on the menu. The menu said that the BBQ chicken was half a BBQ chicken. Told her it was wrong. She said she would correct it. We waited for another 15-20 minutes and the people we were with had already finished their meal and I was late to get back to work so told her to forget about it. Would suggest not going here. I will not be back. read more

My wife and I had the worst service ever. After ordering a beer, took half an hour to it get it. Our food came 45 minutes later. The waitress forgot to put our food in, and she told us but still the manager didn't come over and say anything. The food was good, but bad service = bad place to eat. It wasn't even busy. We won't ever be coming back. read more

Good Food, Great prices! And the Texas Sweet Tea (alcoholic bev) is one of my favorites! Love coming here with my boyfriend and my family. Service could be better though. I've been in the service industry for years and years now, so I understand down time and having to deal with many different people in a night. People just need to stay on top of their tables and have a good attitude about it. It's not that hard read more

I promise today was the last time I frequent this place if I'm with more than 3 other people. The quality of the food for the price is not bad but the frustration of having to deal with their lack of being able to accommodate and service large parties (6 or more) is not worth it. The sad thing is that most of the time it is the kitchen that is failing the servers but what is even more sad is when you ask the manager for help they throw the server under the bus. After asking the manager for help today he comes back and tells us that we have only been waiting 13 minutes when it was actually 43 (we watched the entire 4th quarter of the Cowboy game on my cell phone) and had the nerve not to come back by to see if everything was okay. Let me be clear if you are a party if 4 or less you should eat here but over that go to one of the other restaurants in the area. read more

Best service we've ever had here!! Would give 5 stars had we been given clean silverware. Our server Nicholas was prompt and super friendly and always had a smile on his face!! Will definitely be coming back read more

We went to Cheddar's a few hours ago and we were greeted with friendly service and seated within 1-2 minutes. The server was very fast and friendly and brought us our drinks immediately. I had the blackened salmon, fries, and green beans. My girlfriend had blackened salmon. a baked potato, and broccoli. The food was very good. The only thing was that it took a long time to get the food, about 25 minutes. I guess this is how long it usually takes because we have been here a few times and it seems to take just as long. Overall, great price and great food! read more

I waited a long time to be greeted or get a drink order. It was 3 in the afternoon so not busy at all so that shouldn't have been a problem. I ordered a steak medium it came out very dry and no pink or red at all. I let that go as this is a cheap place. Then I got up and peed with half my food still on my plate and I came back to the table bussed. I hadn't paid or anything. I just decided to take a free dessert to go and get the heck out of there. The steak wasn't good anyways so I was like ok fine whatever. read more

The food was fine. When we first arrived the hostess asked us if we didn't mind sitting at the bar top and we didn't, but then we realized it was dirty and piled up plates were everywhere so then she gets us a table and the server was clearly ready to leave and even said to the hostess " You are not seriously going to sit me!?!??" We sat in a booth with that server and she was nice, but just hearing that she didn't want any more tables was a complete turn off so we ordered and pretty much just took a few bites and took the rest to go. I really hate that. Like I understand her wanting to leave but also this is her job. read more

My bf used to work here, we stopped eating the food after he saw the kitchen. This place is cockroach infested. They call themselves a scratch kitchen yet they use Idahoan Instant Mashed potatoes? Everything comes frozen (including fish and shrimp) and all sauces are pre made. I'd be happier going to Chili's. read more

My husband and I have a 4 month old that is teething and today we were running errands and trying to find the perfect way to calm our son. Half the day went by before we realized we hadn't eaten. We looked around and found Cheddars and decided to stop in. Makysia was our server and she way amazing. We told her we were starving and ready to eat and she took great care of us. Our drinks (Mango sweet tea)were always full and the service was quick. Before we knew it our food was served. I had the salmon with bourbon glaze and we also ordered the croissants. (Order these you will thank me) Everything tasted delicious. Overall great experience and we will defiantly be going back. When you stop in ask for Maksia she will make sure you are happy when you leave! read more

I only had one take-out experience but it wasn't anything special or enough to get me to come back. Anytime a Monte Cristo is on a menu, I get it. This is one I wish I would have skipped on. Instead of typical French toast bread, the entire innards of the sandwich are wrapped in a doughy, hardly-fried excuse for a corn-dog. It was less than desirable to say the least. It's possible the other food is just fine, but for your own good, stay away from that atrocity. I did however have a cup of the cheese-potato soup which is the only reason this a 3 star and not lower. It came with cheese and bacon fixings on the side that made it both cute and delicious. read more

Had the Chicken Fried Steak. Just so-so. The wait staff was great and that's 2 of the 3 stars. The CFS tasted like it came frozen and was fried. I definitly prefer freshly made food but the prices here seem to match the quality. It's our standard, middle of the road American food. Good lunch place and I will go back and try something else. read more

Hubs and I stopped in for a quick bite and an adult beverage. We are from CO and here working. We weren't to impressed with the Cheddars back home but wanted to give it another try here. We were impressed. We sat at the bar top and was waited on by Jess and Adam, who did a great job. They were both very busy and didn't skip a beat. Hubs had the chicken pot pie, they forgot to bring out the salad but no problem. It was something different to try and pleased. I tried the lighter portion whitefish and will definitely order it again. It was delicious. We couldn't get over the menu. So many items under $10. We went in on a Friday night at 5pm. It was steady and getting busier by the minute. Left an hour later and many waiting for a table. We will be back! read more

Waited an hour for food only to have the waiter tell us they were out of what we ordered. Talked to manager and then waited another 20 minutes. Finally we got up and left. I would highly recommend choosing another place. Won't ever go back. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. The waiters are so rude and have no idea how to put in your oder, they'll make you wait 30 minutes until they realize they never summited the order and the kitchen will mess up everyones order so it's sent back and they'll mess it up again. They do not take reservations and we've waited over 2.5 hours to get a table. read more

Came here for my birthday dinner today. The only thing good about it was that we didn't have to wait too long for a table....however as a party of 11 they tried to seat us at two different tables! They don't even move so we couldn't even push them together. We sat for over an hour before we got our food. My food was cold by the time it came to our table. Also waited super long for our margaritas to come out. We had to wait so long for our food that we didn't even know who our waitress was. Finally I think a waitress from another table came to help us her name was Z and she was great. Super disappointed in this place read more

Customer service!! This rating is more for my server. She's the best I had here. I had ordered a steak and chicken and my steak came out well done as I ordered medium.. She came by as I cut the pieces and asked her if I may have a1 sauce since it was well done. She was kind enough to offer another one and get it fixed correctly! She came back with a fresh plate and everything was perfect! In between the time, she came by to see how I was doing! I appreciate her and the staff to get it fixed in a timely manner with no issues! Definitely a great server and will be coming back and requesting her! Thank you Carolina! read more

Been coming here for multiple years, with friends and family. Usually it never disappoint me when it comes to ribs and sweet potato and broccoli cheese casserole. It never let me down. Brought my mom here today to get our usual rib cravings. But instead my sweet potatoe is watery and a bit sour. And ribs was dry and burn on the edges. The manager has replace my burn and dry ribs but kinda weird how the cooks can sent that out the kitchen. Also chips for the spinach dip was all broken. Good thing the our server was awesome and brought extra chips the first time. Server and manger was very friendly and resolve the issues quick. But the leftover ribs was just dry to the last fiber when I got home, it was just cover in the Bbq sauce to make it look like it was juicy. But that cover up. At the end it was thrown out. Felt a bit cheated. But hopefully the next time we visit here ribs will be better. read more

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - Sadly to say this was unappetizing at all, burn and dry. Only way to describe it would be seasoned saw dust. - American Near Me - Garland, Texas

I just returned the most disgusting chicken Alfredo. Alfredo sauce was like water and chicken was not cooked well. Tasted like rubber. I tried to explain to Manager and he was rude telling me " if you don't like it you don't like it" then asked if I want them to remake it. Hell to the No. Cheddar's is forever off my list. You will not serve me horrible food then get an attitude when I want my money back. By Cheddar's with your hairy food. Need to make your kitchen staff wear hats. read more

DIRTY TABLES!!! I was seated in a section with no less than FIVE DIRTY TABLES. You have got to be kidding. Disgusting. Why can three people work the hostess stand but no one can pick up a dirty dish? Normally cheddars is solid with good service and good food this time both were horrible... took a little while to get to us.. then we made our orders and my son who is 6 always I mean always get grilled cheese and some pineapples whoever the waiter is normally makes this happen.. but apparently this time hey don't have any fruit... umm ok I guess he sensed I was pissed so here he comes later with 2 slices of pineapples while placing the pineapples he knocked my bread off my plate.. never got another piece... like really... like really you just didn't have any fruit.. so my Cajun pasta was so dam salty I need a gallon of water after it was ridiculous... the other food was fine per my kids but at the end it took forever to get a to go box even my kids were like it takes this long for a to go box.. then we finally got our tab and normally you are ready to go when you pay not this time sat for a good 6-10 min waiting on him to pick up our tab so we could leave I mean cmon man.. this is the first bad experience I've had at cheddars and its really leaving a salty taste in my mouth... read more
