Great place to eat! Prices are reasonable, and their salmon is amazing every time I eat there

This is a great restaurant with great food and great service. I had the redfish, rice and broccoli casserole. The redfish was made with perfection and the broccoli casserole was very cheesy and the rice was tasty as well. The waitress that served us was very nice and friendly. Furthermore, she responded to our request very quickly and our food did not take very long to come as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my family and I really enjoyed our dining experience and we will be back again in the Beverly near future. FYI....If you go after church on a Sunday, go to the early service if your church have an early service and go to cheddars immediately after because they open @ 10:30 AM. However, by 11:30 am they are busy and you may have to wait for a table. But the food and service is worth the wait if you go later on a Sunday. But any day in the week would be a good day to go because it is just that good........ read more

Let me start by saying when this place first opened I loved it. Food was great, drinks were cheap and the service was top notch. About a year ago I stopped by and had horrible service, I figured ok maybe they had a bad day. Came back a second time and had worse service. I even emailed the company and got no response. So here it is a year later and we decided to give them another shot, big mistake. Once again it took 30 mins to get our first drink. 55 mins to get our order and total trip ended up being 1-1/2 hours. The food was good, the drinks were good but over all service is less than that of a McDonald's. We came to restaurant at 3pm. Nobody at hostess stand, waited almost 10min. 2 tables with folks. Mostly an empty restaurant. Women's restrooms need toilet paper. Finally a gal comes to seat us and the booth is dirty under the table and the seats. Unacceptable. read more

Service issues have improved but the floors are slick and the whole place needs a through cleaning. Menu prices have gone up, again. Flavor has not improved to warrant increase. The place ie wearing out. It seems like they have cut back on the number of wait staff as there is a delay in between being seated and ordering that becomes longer each visit. I have been going to cheddar's for years and their service is the reason why I keep coming back. Tonight my family and I came out to celebrate last minute and we had the pleasure of being served by Kristi. Kristi went above and beyond in every single way! She made sure to not only tell us about her favorite items, but items that were comparable to what we had in mind. The manager Sabrina continuously checked on us and made us feel like family. I went to cheddars on Friday night and I was pleasantly surprised when the bus boy Micheal actually picked me up and carried me to my table. He then actually sang me one of his songs he has to sing for "beauty and the beast" and it was beautifully done I actually shed a tear. Then after I got done eating he offered to pay for my food I declined however but I think this young man should deserve a raise. read more

Very hungry after work so my daughter and I stopped in and were seated immediately. The waitress took our drink order and we ordered an appetizer as well. Waitress brought 2 croissants and we waited another 30 to 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The appetizer was hot! The entrees (Gainesville location) were cold! That did it for me!!!! Choosing to eat at Cheddars was a mistake that my family and I will not make again. We have NEVER had such a terrible dining experience in our lives! Our table was mostly ignored by our server. We had to wait over 20 minutes just for our appetizers to arrive. And it was well over another hour before we received our dinner orders! To top it off, our food arrived cold and our waitress spilled lemonade all over my husband. We will NEVER eat at Cheddars again! Don't waste your time or money! read more

Went here tonight for dinner at about 6PM, seated right away, placed our order only to be told that I got two sides, I had to try three different things before I found one they were NOT out of and then was told the second side they had I ordered would be an extra charge, we waited over 30 minutes and were told our food was not yet ready but would we like some bread while we waited we said yes and 10 minutes later to be told "oh we're out of those too". The food is decent and they have something for everyone. When I've come here I usually start with the spinach dip and work my way toward the Montecristo-anything fried with powdered sugar is great! This meal has never let me down. Something to note is that the price is great for the amount of food you get. Plates are pretty big! Service, like anywhere can be hit or miss.. However, I'm big in to cleanliness and I do admit I get grossed out easily but my dining experience (be it Canoe or McDonald's) goes south really quick if tables are sticky, silverware has food baked on to it etc... This place hasn't been very clean.. The hallway you have to take to get to most tables had napkins on the floor and was sticky. They sat us in a table that was right beside this hallway and the booth had particles of food on it. I nearly slipped sitting down in it because there was also something spilled beneath the table along with more food. The people in the booth beside us left within minutes of us sitting and that table sat full of dirty plates and food and napkins on the floor the entire time we were there (1hr10min) Oh and so did the napkins on the main hallway where customers have to go through and so do employees who just ignored it. *Saturday 9pm* Our waitress was nice but the poor thing was either sick or had allergies because she kept sneezing....On previous occasions we've had the ac or something leak on us, flys flying around and sometimes it just feels muggy.. Have been here three times, and each time, the restaurant has come up lacking. Tried the Spinach dip appetizer ... served with chips rather than bread, and so greasy that we asked for any type of bread instead of the chips ... to which our server said, "How about French Fries?" Wow, news to us, French Fries are now made out of bread! Really? The server was so confused by the request for bread, she sent over the manager ... who got us some warm tortillas ... and while not exactly bread, they worked out ok. Then came the entrees, and we found a hair which appeared to have been cooked right into the dish. It was dark and curly. Tight curly. You know what type hair I mean. Wow. So our food was non-sanitarily prepared by someone who not only didn't wash hands after using the restroom ... they added an ingredient carried from the restroom into the food. Blech! The sad thing, is that these issues happened on visit number two, and we still tried the restaurant again on a third trip ... which also yielded problems and salad greens that needed to be washed. Can anyone say E. Coli? Three tries, three strikes. We are done with this place. read more

Really disappointed. Ordered to go and that worked really well. However the food was awful. Salmon smelled like dead fish on the shore. Had carrots. The were dried out and very tough. Place is good. Haven't had anything I just don't like. Prices are super reasonable and I always have enough for lunch the next day. Yummy chicken tenders, spisagna?? Or something like that. My first visit. Very nice eating area with a large aquarium, and fancy overhead bamboo paddle fans. Our server was prompt and courteous. We ordered the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans, and the grilled Chicken and Shrimp, with a loaded baked potato and fresh steamed broccoli. The food was quickly prepared and served piping hot! Incredibly large portions of everything. The taste was awesome! My wife asked for a Togo box for her steak as it was simply too much for her! This Cheddar's was OK. The one is Alcoa/Murvill is probably my favorite. This one just left me wondering... The hostess just took us to our table the server just brought food. Are they not happy with their job? The food didn't even seem the same. Maybe it was just me. I doubt that. read more

The service was pretty good, hence the two star rating but if you're looking for good food this isn't the place. I ordered a steak and was extremely disappointed in the lack of flavor...and the lack of flavor in anything that was ordered. Plain. That's the one word to describe any dish that's ordered. I hate to only give 3 stars because the service was excellent, although they were not busy I thought it took longer than normal to get food. My husband ordered a bacon cheddar burger he said it was delicious. I had the chicken pecan salad. The salad was mediocre, nothing special , chicken did t have much flavor and I'm not a fan of their honey mustard dressing. The area we sat in had been set up for a couple of large groups but they had left, the area was nasty food,napkins and straws on the floor. They did eventually start to clean it before we left. Ridiculous wait. We got there at 5pm Sunday afternoon. They told us we had a 35 minute wait. Apparently they did not schedule wait staff until 5 or 6... Half the restaurant was empty. The girl at the counter was not helpful. We waited 15 minutes before we realized that the bar and high tops around it were open immediately. She could have mentioned it. Missed our movie. Never saw management walk through the whole time we were there.... with 40 plus people waiting around outside. Seating people would have at least kept them out of 92 degree sun. read more

I wanted to give ZERO Stars but it wouldn't let me post a review!!! We waited 35 minutes for our order to come to the table and when it finally did come everything was cold! The baked potato inside was as hard as a rock from sitting so long and my grilled chicken was so cold, like it was cooked and refrigerated instead..and my husbands salmon was RAW in the middle!! Cheddar's in Gainesville has gone down hill since it was purchased by Darden Restaurants. My wife and I used to go there several times a month, however the entire chemistry has changed. The food is subpar as well as the service. The dinning areas are not maintained well either. read more

Always way more food than is possible to eat. We had the onion rings appetizer. I love the horseradish dip. William decided on the sirloin and shrimp. The steak was a little more chewy but considering the cut it is expected. He ordered it medium rare. Grilled shrimp were good. I had the ribs and shrimp. Always a good choice. Ribs literally feel off the bone. Service was good but it took us 1 1/2 hours to eat. Waited about 20 min on the appetizer and about 30 min on our food. They were busy. read more

Excellent service right from the moment we walked in. We were accommodated for two adults and two babies in car seats. Our waitress answered all the questions about the menu (and we had a quite a few). Food was delicious and it was given to us quite fast after we ordered. I had their lunch special which was a choice of salad, or soup and one of their signature dishes for like $7.99 not a bad deal. For me, it was the Caesar salad and the chicken Alfredo. Other items we ordered were the Monte Cristo, and the chips and queso. The croissants here are sooo good! I could eat a whole plate of them. Overall great customer service, and great food! read more

Arrived at 9pm mid week. It was winding down and was able to get a table quickly. Well that's about all that happened quickly. I think they probably had a midget with a wood leg and one arm cooking in the kitchen. I got the onion rings, and when they came out they were really good (of course the server forgot our request for tarter sauce). Once they were gone, it's on to another long wait for our food.
