An 8oz Top Sirloin....rare.
Cor V.

Our trip to this Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen was exactly one year ago. We are back in Gainesville and Cheddar's is high on our list for dinner. It was easy parking and we were seated at a nice booth. The menus were handed out and we were met by an outstanding server named Nickie. She was the best. It is Not easy to make sure that all the specific orders to bring a Vegetable Plate from the kitchen that was exactly as needed and desired. Yes, the menu has what we want, number one son knows the Country Fried Steak with Texas toast and gravy and Broccoli Casserole is a winner. The lovely missus had an epic 8oz Top Sirloin Steak prepared as she likes it Rare. My choice was for something that I usually order on a Friday; the Fish and Shrimp platter with a light batter coating accompanied by fresh Broccoli was my winner. All of us had the sweet corn as a side dish. Dessert was a hard choice but we went with the fried apple pie and vanilla icecream. It gave our meal at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen a super ending. Thanks for the good food and best service. We will keep Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen high on our list.

We were seated for dinner in the bar area. Two individuals at the bar were involved in an altercation last week. We never experienced such loud and vulgar language in a restaurant. Small children were exposed to this type of language from one of the individuals. Advised a manager and nothing was done. Our first and last time at Cheddars. Absolutely not acceptable behavior.

The service was quick with no issues, our wait time was around 5-10 minutes which was pretty quick. When we sat down I was kinda shocked at how comfortable the booths were. The restaurant itself felt pretty empty but the lighting is nice and it was warm inside which is a plus. When we got served the Honey Butter Croissants I just had to close my eyes for a sec and really absorb that amazing flavor, same with the Cheese Bites. They tastes like chicken but it was gooey and warm like a toasted marshmallow. The Buffalo Chicken Wrapper was also nice but I would have liked it if it had more flavor, the fries tasted good but I wished it was crispier. Overall it was really good.

Let me start by saying that the service was excellent! Our server was fantastic and did a great job managing our group of 13 which included 8 adults and 5 children including a few teenagers. She and other staff members were so friendly and accommodating of our group. They didn't miss a beat. However, the food was just OK. They brought complimentary honey butter croissants as soon as we were seated and that was the only thing I liked. The croissants were soft and pretty amazing. I wanted more. I ordered the coconut shrimp platter with broccoli and fries. The shrimp was heavily coated with this overly sweet coconut breading. I ended up removing the breading to eat the shrimp. The broccoli and fries were fine. If I wasn't so hungry, I probably wouldn't have eaten all of the shrimp. My husband got chicken tenders, which he thought would be a safe one to order, but he did not enjoy it at all. Our son who eats pretty much anything and a lot of it, couldn't even finish his New Orleans pasta. He usually asks for a to-go box if he can't finish something, but he politely told me he did not want to take it home. The rest of our group seemed to enjoy their food. We didn't hear any complaints from them.

Ate here on April 27th. Table was dirty rice on seats. Food on floor around and under the table. Food came out cold. Both parties food had to be heated in microwave. Croissants came out late. I will never eat here EVER AGAIN.

14 oz. Ribeye

I visited Chedders and was not impressed. The Monster Cookie was good and so was the rolls. How ever the steak was still mooing. It was more red than ketchup.

Small dining room and reservations are a must! They have a little bar and you can order drinks with your meal. Service we have is always great and up scale atmosphere. This review is so long overdue. We first visited Antebellum shortly after we moved to Gainesville 6…read moreyears ago, and it immediately became our favorite restaurant in the area. It's by far the best! The two owners, Nick and Alison, are the reason for this. They have incredibly high standards and that's reflected in every dish - from the ingredients to the presentation. Every time, we get appetizers, entrees, and dessert (because it's all so delicious), and their cocktail menu just keeps getting better and better. It's been solid since our first visit, but over the past year they tripled the size and elevated the menu so much we think Antebellum now rivals the best cocktail spots in Atlanta! If you live in the area and haven't yet been, or if you're visiting, make a reservation - and be sure to order appetizers, mains, and dessert (and of course cocktails). There's no need to overthink what you order. Every dish and cocktail they serve is exceptional.

My wife and I came out to North GA BBQ & Oyster Bar and honestly... we went all in. It felt like we…read moreordered half the menu just to try everything--and it was worth it. Let's start with the appetizers. The hush puppies are a must. They come with a hot honey glaze on top, and that combo is ridiculously good. Sweet, crispy, and just packed with flavor. The fried okra was something I've never had before. No breading--just split in half and fried as-is. Super unique and honestly really good. If you like okra, you've gotta try it this way. For sandwiches, my wife had the pig melt, which is their take on a pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast. The pork was tender, juicy, and stacked nicely, definitely a solid choice. I had the BBQuban, their BBQ twist on a Cuban sandwich, and it was excellent. Great flavor, well put together, and something a little different from the usual. The meats across the board were done right. The turkey was tender and served in big, thick slices. The brisket had a good bark and paired well with their BBQ sauce. Sides were all solid. The mac and cheese was creamy (I added a little salt and it was perfect for me), baked beans were flavorful, and the collard greens were on point. And the banana pudding... easily one of the best I've had in the North Georgia area. If you're going here, don't skip it. The space itself is fun with a bar area, and the service was great. Everyone was friendly, and the food came out fast. Parking is available right out front, but just make sure you scan the code and register your tag so you don't get ticketed. You can also park in nearby decks if you prefer. Overall, this is a strong BBQ spot in Gainesville. Great variety, solid execution, and definitely worth checking out.

Small bar with a few TVs. Clean but almost too clean for a BBQ place. You'll know when you walk in. Ordered the oysters and BBQuban. Wife orders the oysters and said they were good, expensive but good. They do have a $2 oyster special one night during the week(don't remember the day). Also had the fried okra. If you like okra, you'll really like it. If you prefer the breading, which these have none, you might like it a little less. The sandwich was great. Toasted bread awesome. A little skimpy on the fries. Their mustard based sauce is good. The hot sauce is really good. The others are just ok. The waitress gave us the heads up on the kitchen closing if we wanted desert. Got the apple fried pie and banana pudding. Banana pudding was really good. Plenty of Nilla wafers. Fried pie was just ok. Would compare it to McDonald's. Parking used to be easy, but the bank across the street is now charging to park and it's expensive.
