It took me 10 months, but I finally went back to give this place another chance. I dont know what they did, but the place was completely different. I mean the service was amazing! Food and drinks were FAST, delicious and accurate. It was a well oiled machine, the waiters helped each other out and the managers were helping bus tables and grab dishes off tables. This is a must see if you've been scarred in the past. I didnt want to delete my old review because I wanted yall to know they read our reviews and made changes that made this an excellent location for lunch, dinner, or just some drinks. This was my first time at a Cheddar's in over 5 years and I must say, I was impressed! The service, the food, the ambiance...everything was great. I had the bacon burger with fries (because I try to play it safe when I go places that I'm not exactly familiar with) and I tasted some of my best friend's New Orleans Pasta...all I have to say is BLESSINGS! Each dish was delicious! My son also got the kid's chicken tender meal and the tenders were not over cooked. For dessert I had the Apple Crisp a La Mode (pictured) which I highly recommend. It's on par with the BJ's Brewhouse pazookie...if you know what I'm talking about! Definitely recommend Cheddar's and I will be coming back much sooner! read more

We waited 45 mins after we were told it was a 20-25 minute wait. We saw three parties arrive after us and receive seating before us. The hostess was not friendly and she did not even acknowledge we were still waiting. So after 45 minutes and seeing the third family be seated even though they arrived after us, we chose to go up and remove our names and they didn't seem to care that business was being lost. This place has gone downhill. I have gotten my order wrong every time I have gone.

This was our first time dining at Cheddars. We had some food and bad in our visit. Good: Friendly waitress, croissants with honey butter were good, but cold, nice sweet tea. My husband ordered a rib eye and said it had great flavor. Bad: Property is a mess. Debris on the ground and in the landscaping. Landscaping is a mess. Front doors are dirty. I use the restroom to wash my hands and while it wasn't extremely dirty, it wasn't very clean. And getting to the bathrooms you had to go through the bar and there was definitely a smell of old mop or old rags in the air. We asked for extra croissants, realizing there would be a charge for those, but they were never brought. A very small container of dressing was brought out for my side salad and we waited a very long time for the waitress to come back so I could ask for extra blue cheese dressing. We also asked for an extra napkin, a shaker of salt and a refill on my husband'a sweet tea. My dinner came and I was halfway through it before we saw the waitress again and I reminded her that I needed blue cheese dressing. We also reminded her about the sweet tea, salt and napkin. It should be noted that someone else brought our dinners. The next time she went by I was essentially finished with my potpie dinner and my husband was finished with his side salad and was well on his way through his steak. We asked her again for the salad dressing and sweet tea. She brought me ranch dressing and a sweet tea. She never did bring our check or ask us if we wanted dessert or if there was anything else she could do. We just paid the bill at the kiosk on the table and left. The food was actually quite tasty and for this reason I think we will be back, but I really am not too sure about the waistaff or the cleanliness. I had the opportunity to watch the bus boy take over 30 minutes to clean one table. He must've walked back-and-forth away from the table a dozen times. And while he had a spray bottle of what I'm assuming is disinfectant, he didn't use it. He used a fairly old rag and didn't even wipe the entire table. When we went to leave we looked for a manager or even a hostess but there was no one at the front of house. We might give it one more try...maybe. read more

It's difficult to come here with a gluten sensitive child or if you're trying to eliminate gluten yourself. They have no willingness to accommodate special requests..... Upon request they provided a small menu that had no prices. They were not willing to make anything for kids so we were forced to buy an adult meal even after speaking with the manager. She defined cheddars as "not focused" on gluten free and stating they're limited on what they can offer. We then ordered the kids BBQ chicken for our other child and asked to removed the rice and sub for a different side since he won't eat rice. They would t allow it. I've never been to such an inflexible Dining establishment and one who wasn't willing to accommodate a child's meal by modifying the portions. And you call yourself a scratch kitchen.....this is clearly all pre-made and pre-portioned situation. I'm disgusted that they won't find a way to work this out. Where there's a will there's a way. Management needs to go back to customer service training 101. Meanwhile we will NEVER support cheddars again and I will tell everyone our story. I enjoy the food, the service is always good, however the wait can be a little long. Unfortunately, Cheddars is a place I have to avoid during my lunch breaks. Though I've never had a problem with the food, the wait takes an eternity at times and I'm always rushing to get back to my job. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Cheddars was the location of a going away celebration for my co-worker, and they did a pretty good job attending to 20 of us. I called at around 9:30am to give them the heads up since they don't take reservations. They actually answered the phones, though they don't open until 11am. There was a section where we were all seated together and they were nice enough put our cake in their refrigerator. Once everyone had finished their meals, our waiter brought out our cake as well as plates and a new set of utensils for everyone to use. I can't remember our waiters name but he was awesome!! Jeez, I could kick myself. He was a young black guy with a ton of colorful/rainbow pens tucked in his shirt pocket and apron. Thank you! read more

I've been to this location several times and all in all, I've had enjoyable experiences. I like that they have a variety of food such as burgers, steak, grilled fish, and pasta. I can come here when I want to eat healthy or when I want to indulge. The same goes for drinks. They have a great skinny margarita and also the most awesome Texas Painkiller for when you've had one of THOSE days :) The honey butter croissants are to die for and worth the extra calories! read more

Just left Cheddars and had to write this review because we almost didn't come because of negative reviews. We arrived around 4:30 and were seated right away. The tables were clean and nothing was sticky. Our server brought our drink order from the bar quickly. My husband ordered ribs. They brought him the end of the rack and it was over cooked. After telling our server the manager came right over to correct the problem. She brought him a fresh section from the middle of the rack and they were perfect. She removed the charge from our bill. I had the rib eye and it was a perfect medium. The bathroom was clean. Smelled fresh and no trash on the floor. Over all a very good experience. The fish was mushy and without any body or flavor. The breading was bland as well. The lemon flavored mayonnaise that was supposed to be tartar sauce looked liked it had been sitting out and I felt it would be unsafe to eat it. The truth is, this place was packed. Lots of people seemed satisfied, and lots of children running around. However, the food was bad... the service was bad... the hostess was rude... For 8:45pm on a Thursday night... I've been here twice and both times have been pretty good experiences. This particular last time was a Friday at about 6pm. We were afraid we would be waiting forever to get seated but it only took about 15 mins. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient! The food was awesome. You get a large serving for the price that you pay! I got the buffalo wrap with mashed potatoes and it hit the spot! They're drinks were really cheap as well! Pops and I got full after just eating our appetizer, haha. We actually have been here before, for Father's day. My family had a good time here and Pops and I thought we should come here ourselves to do an official review. Usually, this place is busy, but it wasn't when we arrived. We were sat down quickly at a booth. Our server was nice and brought us water without asking. Pops had a burger and I had an 8oz steak (diet). We also had onion rings for an appetizer. That appetizer, however, is good enough for a meal for both Pops and I. They were huge and there was plenty enough to go around. Seriously, I think it was too much for Pops. We didn't think we could eat our entrees. And we aren't fans of bringing leftovers. Shocker, we didn't finish our food. But it's not like the food was the best though. Pops liked his burger but he did not like all the crispy onion strings that were all over his plate. It was just a mess. The same could be said for my steak. Unnecessary onion strings all over the plate. I ordered my steak to be medium-rare, but I think my steak is a bit rarer than I'd like. Not sure if steak is always hard to cut, but I had a hard time with it. It was really tasty though. As for the atmosphere, it had a sort of tavern feel. Dark but also nice to eat at. I'm not sure why, but I feel a bit mixed about eating here. The fun wasn't the best, but not mediocre either. There was plenty of food given, but I think less food at lower prices would be good. Every time I come I try something different but still haven't found a dish I cared to eat again. Potato skins and nachos are weird. They use slices on American on anything that calls for cheese. Ive been to this location and the one off Central in Bedford at least four times and every time I walk away disappointed. The potato soup in lacking and their monte cristo sandwich is bland. They are like a bad Bennigans knock off. Also, the waitresses stand around and joke without greeting guests at the door or refilling drinks. Twice at this location I have walked in without being greeted even though servers are walking by or standing near but instead ignore me to keep joking with each other. One of the best visits my wife and I have had at Cheddar's in our many visits. We stopped in at lunch which is always a time-crunch. Our entrees were delivered, HOT and quickly. My wife had the chicken pot pie with a side salad and I ordered the grilled catfish with the the country style green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. Both of our entrees were wonderful. My wife is very picky about chicken pot pies, one of her favorite entrees. She exclaimed that Cheddar's version was one of the best she had eaten in quite a while. One of the issues with chicken pot pie is that it can be sort of dry if they don't have enough liquid. It wasn't the case on this occasion. Her pie had lots of gravy or sauce in it. My grilled catfish, green bean and mashed potatoes was just what the doctor ordered! Absolutely delicious. The fish was grilled and seasoned perfectly. I loved the "sweetness" of the green beans. The mashed potatoes brought memories of those my mom used to make at home! We'll definitely have to return to Cheddar's more often on our Thursday lunch dates! read more

I drove 7 miles to pick this order up, and wasn't about to drive back for that. Ended up throwing that garbage out and going to McDonalds. My husband took me to this place because his first experience was fantastic. To my surprise my first experience wasn't. I did order a top shelf margarita. I did not realize how big it was but it was well-made. We order our food in the food came cold. The manager approached us and asked was how everything was and we explained to him the disappointment. My roommates and I went to visit another roommate of ours in Keller, TX last week and went here twice for happy Hour. I AM A FAN!!! Strong and Cheap Eats, some of the best spinach dip I ever tasted and it's all so reasonably prices. For entrees we had the Country Fried Chicken, 2 of us had the salmon (the waiter forgot the glazed so it came out just grilled - bummer), someone else and the chicken alfredo (so dry but the actual flavor was awesome) and someone else has the Lasagna/Spaghetti dish - I think that was the best. I won't give this place 5 starts cause the service kinda sucks! As I mention the waiter forgot the Bourbon glaze for our salmon, he forgot the kid's drink, he forgot to have the gravy on the side for the country friend chicken, and he forgot the basket of bread we asked for... lol.. We have been trying to use most restaurants to-go service as a courtesy, but I believe Cheddars kitchen staff uses the fact that we grab the food and leave as an excuse to provide subpar service. Missing and cold items, tiny portions, but worst of all, under cooked chicken. The staff is nice but unfortunately does not make up for the fear that I may get food poisoning. DIRTY!!! I came in with my family. The hostess took us in the back and 12 tables (I counted) were dirty. Not from a party, these were individual tables and they want to sit us in there with no one else. So they moved us and I have one thing to ask. Ever heard of a vacuum? The carpets had so much food on them that I had to call the manager over. Well that didn't matter... After talking to him he just said okay and did nothing. No push broom, nothing. I worked in restaurants a good portion of my life and I am completely appalled. When we did get our food it was atrocious. Dried beef jerky is more moist than these ribs. My wife's butter had cheese in it. And the food just looked like well... Pig slop! This is not the Cheddars I love. *** The ONLY good thing about this place is Grant our server. Food was great! No complaints there! But we had very crappy service! Our waitress didn't seem to care, we ordered salads and appetizers, The salads came out without any dressing... So we waited over 15 minutes to have a little cups of dressing so we could eat or salad... As they were bringing out the dressing, our main course was coming out, so we never did get to eat our salads because our food would have gotten cold. Then we asked for some ketchup, for my son's meal she never came back with that so we had to get up and go to another table and grab the ketchup off that table. In the mean time my dons food got cold, and there was no sending it back, because it would've taken forever to come back out... If it would've never made it back out. We never received our appetizers we ordered, nor did we get our desserts. The most irritating part of this all is when we talked to our waitress about the service she didn't seem to care. So we ordered a couple, along with a kids grilled cheese for our youngun and an order of chips/queso. Well, we ended up waiting 20 minutes in a to go parking spot, only for a mask less employee to come out with 6 bags/2 drinks (I assume they were multitasking and bringing out other orders, too) but we checked our order once we got it and counted our boxes (which by the way were stuffed quickly into 1 bag) when we got home we opened the boxes and realized we were missing our queso. Not to mention both of our salads were tossed into a to go container and tossed into a bag. Not very visually appetizing. Our child's grilled cheese was cold and his fries were too. Yuck! I ordered an 8 oz steak and even after waiting for a loooong time, I received a 6oz steak. I asked the waiter if it was a 6 oz steak to please just charge me for a 6 and not an 8 like I initally ordered. Instead, he grabbed my plate and took it to the kitchen. I was so hungry and wanted to eat but he took my food without asking. After everyone had finished eating I still didn't have my food. When my food finally came, the chef himself delicered it to me and put the plate down and said "sorry about the wait here is an 8 pz steak." I have never been so sick and nauseous from eating at a restaurant in my life ! I was just there on June 18th and ordered a salad the next morning I had nausea, abdominal pains , fever , and diarrhea. I figured it was just side affects from pms but this has been continuous pains and vomiting. I went to get seen at the er last night and I have food poisoning!
