It was our first time at this restaurant and it was a hit. We were all pleased with our delicious meals and the service was exceptional! We will return.

Steak Tips, my wife and I liked it and I will be back for some more.

The place is always packed when I passed by so I decided to stop and check it out with my wife. We both went for the steak tips and we both found it delicious. Tgey also offer a free honey honey butter croissant that is very good, not too sweet but hits the point. We will be back for the great service and food

The Homemade Onion Rings are back! They taste essentially the same as they did before the pandemic. Now, they're a bit crunchier. They came with the same dipping sauces as before (Ranch and a "Cajun" sauce). If you haven't tried them yet then you should now! For entrées, we ordered the Grilled Chicken Pecan Salad and the Crispy Chicken Tender Salad. Both salads were fresh and delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant & restrooms were clean.

    Great croissants to start!

Had a nice dinner recently at the Cheddars. Our food was excellent, the noise level was low and our server Darrell was fantastic! He was very informative about menu items, didn't rush us at all, was very attentive and a very, very nice man. I hope when we return, we are fortunate enough to have him as our server. The steaks were cooked perfectly to order as we requested. I really don't have anything to complain about except that I'm hungry right now and I feel like running back there!

Very dimly lit joint which is a bit odd for something envisioning itself as a southern type restaurant. We sat in the bar (there's actually a bar in there). Barkeep was Brandon; I was a bit reticent at first because he didn't seem that outgoing. Once my dear Queen Bee said we'd never been here, he became a lil more outgoing. He went on to tell us what he likes, about drink specials, what many people order, etc. We didn't want apps, soup or anything so we just perused the menu a bit. Queen Bee already knew what she wanted but I deferred a bit. She had chicken tenders with a side salad and by Brandon's suggestion broccoli cheese casserole. Salad was basically a salad, to paraphrase the Queen Bee. Brandon mixed up the dressing she wanted for her tenders (ranch ) with what she wanted for salad (bleu cheese). He also forgot to bring out the (now salad) dressing so he dashed back off to get what turned out to be the wrong one. That gaff was followed by the broccoli cheese casserole (Brandon's "favorite" no less) clusterf**k. It was pure crap! Tasted like the "green stuff" one might find on a high school cafeteria lunch tray. Not only that, but it was also cold...not tepid, not warm, but COLD. I convinced her to get rid of it for something else; she chose mashed taters. "Gravy," Brandon asked...he said he likes their beef gravy. I rolled my eyes when she agreed to beef gravy. Big clusterf**k number two. Taters were a bit salty, but the gravy sent me back yet again to that high school cafeteria lunch tray. Blech! Straight from a bag, a can or an electric mixer...The ol' gravy boat certainly didn't take a side trip to Flavortown. I think the poor thing sank in the mudflats with all hands down!!! Her tenders were quite good, she said. Honey hot sauce was too acidic for either of us. My ribeye was okay; cooked to a slightly underdone medium. It was topped with garlic butter, which gave that mediocre meat mass a bit more flavor. Baked tater was a baked tater. I find it saddening to report that the best part of the meal was a (Caesar) salad, which can be one's second side for a small up charge. That is rather strange, but I guess it involves more work than just opening a bag of frozen corn or (heaven forbid) that horrendous broccoli cheese casserole. Would we return? Eh...I know that if we DO choose to return (damn big IF), we'd choose different (and simpler) food items. She'd have chosen fries with her tenders, and I'd probably stay with something like country fried steak, montecristo or something...and definitely NOT mashed taters, broccoli cheese casserole, or much of ANYTHING ELSE that Brandon likes. Blech!!!

On the way to a concert, we stopped at this restaurant (first visit) at opening time 5pm. There is a peaceful fish tank in the entrance on the right. Nice touch. We were seated quickly and Anthony, our server, was top notch. He brought bread (must-have honey crescents) and menus right away. Next came beverages and he took our order within five minutes. He knew that menu well and it came to the table hot within 10min!! He was so quick and efficient. He is a team player and agreeable to work any position in the restaurant (cook, server and definitely a people pleaser). The chef (?)came out (Luis) and asked if everything was ok. It was so good to see people working together!! The food was delicious. I had bourbon glazed salmon, rice, carrots and corn and my husband had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots and gravy. Both meals were simple and tasty! There is also a big bar in the restaurant! We will be back, for sure!!

Food was okay, steak was amazing but green beans were really sweet and didn't leave a great aftertaste. service was well, the waitresses seemed busy so they forgot a few thing but meant no harm. Ambiance was perfect, I was in awe of the restaurant.

    Monte Cristo- very good!

The food here is a step over chilis or Applebee's. it's definitely still a 'chain' atmosphere which is not my personal favorite.

I was very much looking forward to dining here, but was not prepared for how much it would exceed my expectations!!! The food is amazing. Fried chicken was some of the best I've ever tasted, crispy outside and moist inside. The mashed potatoes were delicious and creamy (get them topped with cheese and bacon!) and my drink was on point. Although my wife's peach sangria might have been the better choice Our server, Alyssa, could teach a masterclass on serving! Funny, engaging, never had to ask for anything....always attentive and on top of everything! Bravo Alyssa!!! Will DEFINITELY be back on our next trip to Disney! The inside of the restaurant has table and bench seating, as well as a large square shaped bar with plenty of seats. The booths are hardwood not padded, and the tables are solid metal. Their signature item is fried chicken. We ordered the Fried Chicken and Doughnuts. It comes with 2 pieces of chicken, 2 doughnuts and a side of mashed potatoes for $32. We thought it was a perfect meal to share between two because each person gets a piece of fried chicken and a doughnut. The chicken is extra greasy and topped with powdered sugar. It was very good but it still does not rate as highly as Publix or KFC for me. The doughnut was great. I would compare it to a fresh glazed from Krispy Kreme. Service was excellent. We were seated immediately, and greeted at our table by a friendly and efficient server. Overall, everything went well. The prices are high but this is expected due to the location. I would definitely return to try more of the menu.

The staff is extremely attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was wonderful, I have eaten a lot of food this year but when I say the cornmeal crusted Gulf Oysters appetizer was in the top 5 of best things I have eaten this year I mean it! The perfect balance of salty and umami with grated cheese, sweet peppers on top of a crunchy base sprinkled with capers. My dinner mate and I literally could not stop audibly Mmm'ing as we ate it. The potato salad was delicious and a great accompaniment. I thoroughly enjoyed their happy hour selection as well which allowed us to try their muffuletta sandwich along with their boudin balls, two offerings we have never had before, without committing to the full size. Both were delicious and the bun on the mini Mufuletta was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside in all of the best ways (I would not be upset if they just served these buns as a side). Overall, Lucky 8 made me feel pretty Lucky to try their food. This is an awesome lunch/dinner spot in Sarasota and you definitely have to give it a try. Also if you like Abita Beer they have it on tap here! Highly recommend the TurboDog or the Pecan if you enjoy a good ale!

Chicken was very tender, a little heavy as deep fried but I love chicken thighs. Combined with jasmine rice and red beans was more like a chicken thigh jambalaya. A little spicy but not hot enough to stop eating. A cold beer to wash it down is perfect. A good amount of food and I was happy with my choice. Wife ordered the gumbo bowl which was a combination of chicken, sausage, jasmine rice and pickled peppers. A little spicy but very tasty. Serving would've been much too small for me but was fitting for her. Service was good, nice ambiance and food overall was good. Perfect place to watch a football game on a Sunday but a little small overall. I would return if I lived in this area year round.
