We had a awesome time so much that two days later we came back and ate again. There was something for everyone including my three year o.d nephew. I gave 4 stars, which I almost never do for chains, precisely because of the Monte Christo. The service was excellent as well. Did I mention the Monte Christo? Oh yeah, I did. Anyway, my wife had the chicken pot pie and said it was the best one she had ever had. I had the Monte Christo.....oh, I said that. Sorry, I think I'm in love. It's just that, it was so unforgettable...so moist, and the turkey and ham was so tender....the cheese so gooey...the jam so complementary. The server was excellent and she even sat down with us and explained in great detail the tender, loving care that the staff put into each and every tender sandwich. Each slice of delectable ham and turkey was carefully placed onto the Texas toast. The cheese was laid with care. The bread and meat was stacked high then pressed together and wrapped to meld and fuse the flavors. Then it was refrigerated until the sandwich was finally adopted by a loving customer, then fried to golden perfection, sprinkled with the lightest of powdered sugar and served with the utmost care to the awaiting new owner with a side of the freshest jam. My wife asked me for a bite and I think I growled at her!?! It was a food experience I will not soon forget. Take care Monte Christo......until we meet again. Parting is such sweet sorrow.......... Went here for a business lunch today after it was recommended to us by some folks. Should have realized that Yelp doesn't lie. This place was very meh. Client and I got some spinch dip to start off which was okay, nothing to write home about. I got chicken tenders and mashed potatoes and broccoli and cheese casserole. The Lemon Pepper White Fish dish was poorly seasoned (too much salt and pepper, not enough lemon) and the rice it was served on was undercooked and hard. Fortunately, the service was very fast and the waiters were responsive to us. I guess my original review didnt post, which I made the day after they closed. So listen up Darden. Cheddars was probably the best overall sit down restaurant around here, taking the food, service, atmosphere, and PRICES into consideration. Was some of the food ridiculous salty? Yep. Did the food quality start to fall off this year for some reason? Yep. When this restaurant opened about 10 years ago they immediately put the real estate up for sale with a lease back contract. So I dont know if the lease ran out, I dont know if it closed because Darden wanted to close it for whatever reasons, I dont know. But I do know this. Over a month later there are still people pulling into that lot, and getting out looking in the window in disbelief. Yep. I ate here about once every week. Most people around here liked it for what it was, and we really wish it was still here. P.S. - Dont even think of putting an Olive Garden in it's place! read more

WOW! Second time here and was impressed by the food and service again. Baby back ribs were out of this world!!! If you like that sort of thing. We have been here many times. There is usually a wait but the food is worth it. If you really don't want to wait there is usually seating in the bar area. We've never had a bad meal here always good or better. The only draw back is the noise level is very high. We highly recommend it. read more

1 - We were taken to a table already occupied by diners. (Commence hushed argument between staff.) 2 - We were then made to wait beside the table of diners while someone tried to clean the floor. I use "tried" because he left a sticky mess on both the floor and the seats we would then be given. (I'll add that the same cloth being used to wipe the FLOOR appeared to be used on the seat.) 3 - One of the menus had food smashed inside. It was rotten and contained small seeds. 4 - Over ten minutes of sitting at our dirty table, we had yet to meet our server or order drinks. We got up and went to Longhorn Steakhouse down the street instead. (Wonderful experience there!) 5 - I provided feedback through their corporate website later that day. Someone claiming to be the "general manager" from this location would call me. At 9:45PM that night! When I question the timing of this call, he stuttered a bit and replied, "Well, I just got off my shift!" He didn't understand that call so late was rather inappropriate. Seriously, avoid this Cheddar's. This was my family's "give them one more chance" visit after a bad experience in the past. That time, our server neglected to bring our appetizers and rudely argued that we hadn't ordered any. He would later attempt to charge us for the food we never got! We also received dirty dishes and both under & over cooked foods. This place has some serious issues. read more

Took my date there after church... March 29th. They had a computer glitch and paying for service was lengthy. The food was great... and great service BUT, not only did they charge me twice for the meals (they are correcting this hopefully) but they also added tax twice on my bill, as verified with my on-line banking. If you eat here... expect a well prepared meal BUT follow-up on the finances unless you use cash. I come fairly often and seem to always get the same thing. Steak & tenders with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. They usually put the steak on a bed of onion strings, making the strings soggy. I recommend that you ask them to keep them separated. Always tasty, affordable and plenty of food. Service was reasonable, however they forgot my steamed broccoli. I didnt even notice until I was done with my meal. Our waiter, Sebatian, was apologetic and got me some to go. Overall a pleasant experience. My tip is to avoid main dining times on the weekend. They do get busy and you can find yourself waiting. read more

I ordered at 8:18 I was told it would take fifteen minutes. It took me a little time to get there. Called the curbside at 8:49. So that's a half hour. The food should have been waiting. The lack luster waitress slowly walks out to tell us there is no history of our order. Joey the manager who took the order comes out to tell us it was placed at the bar. I specifically said "if the order is not ready cancel the order". Joey lied and said the order was all set to go. SO, I set my stop watch. 9 minutes later the waitress comes out with a bag which I assumed would be ours. Nope she brings it out to a truck that pulled in after us. She proceeds to slowly and I mean slowly walk over and tell us ...wait for it...that the chicken fried steak is still cooking. I told her I was clear I didn't want to wait another fifteen minutes. We left and I cancelled the order. Both of them are so stupid to think we wouldn't figure out what was going on. Being busy is no reason to lie. Just fess up- I screwed up- meals on the house- free dessert. Don't offer me a free soda and think I'm going to believe another word out of your mouth after what you already did and sit in the parking lot any longer. Epic fail- read more

MMMmmm. I definitely recommend going here if you're in the area and don't know where to eat. My grandparents took me here to try the onion rings, since they say they're the best they've ever had. And they're right., the onion rings are AWESOME. I hardly ever eat fried foods- maybe once every 6 months, but this was worth it. I also got the Nappa Chicken sandwich with a side of fresh steamed broccoli. I really enjoyed my meal. The avocado was fresh, and there wasn't too much of anything. It came on a ciabatta roll, which was definitely the right bread for it. They advertise the broccoli as "buttered", but I was happy to find that it didn't taste that way. When I order vegetables, I don't want them smothered in fat, so it was nice that this restaurant thought that too. Our waitress was also good. She refilled our drinks without us even having to ask, and she was there whenever we needed something. read more

Our experience was Horrible!! I would give zero stars if I could. It took over an hour or more for our food to come. For both of the steak orders to come out undercooked. I got garlic Parmesan crusted on one. It was no more than bread crumbs. The ribs were really tough. The waitress even said we weren't the first person to send the food back today. We asked for steak sauce twice it took another 15 mins. Bens and rice were terrible. Asked for butter for my baked potato. By the time I got it my potato was cold. Long story short we ended up eating nothing but a portion of our French fry appetizer and a croissant. She removed all of our meals and we left after sitting there for 2 hrs starving since we never ate dinner. The manager started immediately picking up out plates . Basically Indicating if you're not paying you're not eating anything on these plates. Like we were there for a free meal. She should have compted the whole thing. But still charged us for the appetizer and drinks. And gave us 3 meal vouchers. It was that bad that I don't care, free meal or not I'll never go back. read more

This place gets a solid 4 stars for a few reasons. The restaurant is clean and the service has been great every time I have been there. The appetizers are awesome and I wouldn't ever go without getting the spinach dip. SOOO good. The prices are great for what you get, burgers are $5-$6 or how about a Monte Christo. We go to Cheddars quite often. We love the drink specials, appetizers, burgers & ribs. The service is pretty much hit or miss. The problem is that they have turned into a senior citizen hang out! It wouldn't be an issue but these groups of people are extremely loud and have no clue how to use indoor voices. We don't generally complain or anything but last week we went to Cheddars with my daughter, her husband, 2 babies, my 16 year old, my husband and myself. We were sitting for quite awhile. We had margaritas and appetizers but the food was taking forever. My 18 month old granddaughter was making a humming noise, kind of low key fussing or protesting that her food wasn't there yet. She was not crying or being loud. The table of old people next to us were very loud. One of these ignorant people complained that my granddaughter was being annoying. The manager told us we had to keep the kids quiet or leave!! Now I can totally understand if she was crying or screaming but she was not even close to as loud as these ignorant old F@*@s were being. We literally paid the bill and left! We did not even get to eat our dinner! They put it in a box to go! Seriously, if they would have had their staff working at a decent pace then maybe we wouldn't of had an issue! We go out more than we eat at home. We have never had an issue. If a child is crying or being disruptive then I expect the parents to take them outside a few minutes if they can't be calmed down. We also do this as to not disrupt the restaurant. This incident was completely uncalled for. We are sharing this experience to warn everyone that Cheddars does NOT care about families! They would much rather cater to half dead clientele that won't even be here in a few years! Good luck staying in business when you run away the people who keep your store open! We will keep sharing this experience so that others with children will not experience the same ignorant treatment that we experienced at Cheddars! read more
