This was our first visit to this location. We've always loved the St. Pete location and we love this one, too. It's located in the Feather Sound strip center next to the gas station. It's very unassuming from the outside but it's upscaled inside. For starters, we ordered the White Queso. This is a 'must have' item. For entrees, we opted for the Mexico City Enchiladas Suizas (enchiladas stuffed with shredded chicken with a spicy tomatillo sauce). We also ordered the Hacienda Platter (A cheese chile relleno, a chicken enchilada with poblano sauce, a tamal with salsa roja and a beef empanada). Both dishes came with really good Spanish Rice and you can choose your style of beans. We both got the refried beans. Both dishes were excellent! The most noteable item was the chile relleno. We would order both of these dishes again. The service was a little slow but friendly. Surprisingly, we were the only table for their lunch hour. To be fair, it's a bit pricey for lunch. read more

Completely screwed up to go order when I hosted a customer on site. Chicken tacos were dryer than the Sahara. EXTREMELY SMALL portions for two tacos at what they charge. We got refried beans instead of requested black beans. We got street tacos instead of regular tacos... overloaded with more onion than chicken, and cilantro which I hate (not on the regular tacos we ordered). read more

This is probably one of my new favorite Mexican restaurants. I'd never been into Grand Hacienda before, even though it's down the street from me. But I was very pleasantly surprised! The vibe is very laid back and the decor is a nice combination of cute and colorful. For dinner I got the Flautas and my boyfriend got the Birria. Both were super tasty, and I especially liked the Birria because of how hearty it was. I didn't order the house margarita but I tried my boyfriend's and it tasted perfect. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating and the host even checked on us too. My one gripe is that some items are priced a little higher than I'd like, but considering how tasty it all is I'd say it's worth it. I can't wait to stop in here again soon! read more

The person that answered the phone this evening on May 18, 2026 refused to provide her name so that we knew who we were talking to, and had an attitude did not want to answer questions and was unprofessional. She finally said that her name was "Juanita." previously I've had nothing but excellent experiences as a person that eats dinner at this restaurant fairly often. Food is typically very fresh and the drinks are excellent. But this was a turn off. Not sure if this is new management or what. We're going elsewhere instead. read more

A pretty good spot for Mexican eats in the Clearwater area. Came into town to help with an event and we ate here before heading over to Cowboys Dance Hall for a good time. The space itself was clean and had a good amount of seating. The service was friendly and attentive; our orders were taken swiftly and the food came out pretty fast. The menu was extensive but I ended up getting the brisket tacos. It comes with 3 corn tortilla tacos with the shredded brisket, chihuahua cheese, grilled poblano pepper and onion and served with rice and an avo salad. What a treat! I haven't had a huarrache in about 10 years and it really hit the spot. As someone who grew up eating authentic Mexican food, I feel it's important to share an honest experience here. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of expectations. The steak fajita was tough and difficult to eat, the horchata tasted like it came from a powder mix -- watered down with too much ice -- and the brisket tacos were completely lacking in flavor. To top it off, despite both dishes being listed with corn tortillas, they were served with flour tortillas instead. That's a significant misrepresentation on the menu. For the price point, the portion sizes were disappointing. You're paying a premium and getting very little in return -- both in quantity and quality. I understand that Mexican food may be unfamiliar to some diners, which might explain the positive reviews, but those of us who know the cuisine well will likely leave underwhelmed. I live in California but routinely go to Florida for work. Didn't think I could get top notch Mexican food here. Food? 5 out of 5. SERVICE ? 2 stars maybe 3. I've been here 3 times and it's always the guys that don't bring you utensils until halfway through the meal. Literally I've been given my appetizer and meal and there's no knife and fork or even napkins. TRAIN your greeters better because it's annoying that your food is so good but your men working here don't know basic servers etiquette. We also loved the queso. 3 of my friends got margaritas and enjoyed them because they weren't too sweet. Note that the jumbo is, in fact, JUMBO!!! I got the 3 street tacos: one chicken, one steak, one pork. The carnitas was my favorite, chicken right behind and steak last because I thought it was the dryest. I enjoyed my tacos a lot! Nothing crazy special, just solid tacos. I also really liked the rice they came with. Let me just start by saying that before I even got the disgusting food that the taller White older gentleman that was hosting tonight around 7:10pm on 2/17/2026 was extremely rude and obnoxious giving me a problem because I want sauce for my tacos. I ordered the fish tacos and the Al Pastore tacos, upon getting my food on the short drive home. The fish tacos were so strong that it was making my stomach hurt. I opened the container. The fish tacos were extremely overcooked to the point that it looked like baked chicken tenders I took one bite and spit it out. The fish tacos were extremely overcooked and dry. Great Mexican food at this new location of a local chain, in Feather Sound. The interior is beautifully decorated, clean and brightly colored. It's a large room, plenty of tables and booths. We were seated quickly on a Weds evening when the restaurant was about 1/3 full. It's an extensive menu of traditional Mexican fare. Each of the items we tried was fresh and flavorful. Portions are enormous, as is also the tradition. I tried hangar steak, served on a bed of sauteed onions, a few bulbs of cambray onions and a nopale. The cambray onions are like giant bulbed scallions - very mild and delicious. Nopale (aka prickly pear) was boiled till soft, tasted something like green beans. It's not something I've ever had before but was really good. That steak, though.... grilled medium rare, seasoned perfectly. Yaaaas! Service is a little choppy - some entrees served and then we waited a while for the rest. The kitchen is flexible and accommodated a special order for a little one, bringing that out first. Service from start to finish was excellent here. We had to figure out a last-minute gathering place for dinner after our workshop. We weren't definitively sure how many people would actually show up, and that they would trickle in. We originally thought it would be 18, ended up being closer to 30. The host offered to seat us once half of the 18 had arrived, which was about 5min after we started trying to figure things out. I checked out the patio, which was a cool space that had 4 tables of 4, so requested if we could congregate there. They also graciously offered a back private space, but the temp outside was comfortable. The manager ended up bringing more tables to accommodate the additional people. Not going to lie even though the reviews are great I was hesitant because a lot of people talk about the drinks and not a lot about the authenticity of the food. The food was fantastic. Great children's menu. Even the child's portions were huge. My boys loved it. We started out with their homemade salsa and chips (yum). We also had queso and jalepeno bean queso. All were delicious. My mom had the caldo de pollo and it was a huge bowl of love. My sister had the bisteca Mexicana and it was as good as places in Chicago so it's been years since she has had it this good. I had carnitas which was delicious as well. The hot salsa was some of the best I have had. It packed a punch and it was full of flavor as well which a lot of places pack a punch but lack the flavor. I came here on a whim with my boyfriend. This location is in a plaza near the gas station and was a bit of a hard find but man is it delicious! The interior is a lot larger than the exterior leads you on to believe. The decor is beautiful and I found myself staring at all of the artwork. Our server, Jayden (spelling?) was SO friendly. First off, I'm always leery of authentic Mexican food after growing up in SoCal. But, I give praise when it's due, and it's due! I started with a top shelf Don Julio reposado margarita on the rocks, no salt! The girl who was my waitress was also my bartender, she did an awesome job! The chips were hot and fresh, the first bowl is on them. They have an extensive menu with roughly 5 different dips and table side guacamole, if you're into that sort of thing. BTW, they have homemade spicy salsa, if you ask for it. I searched the menu and settled for something simple, yet tasty....tamales. You can go places and get them mushy or thin and basically hallow without much filling, but these 2 (chicken and beef with rice and beans) were on point and so was the sauces.
