Fish and Chips with Red Beans & Rice

We were excited to try their Monte Cristo sandwiches, which is a family favorite. We love the appetizer croissants, and we shared a Cesar salad to start and splurged on onion rings which were cooked perfectly. It was super crisp and cold. The Hubbs got the fish and chips - a very generous portion. The batter was nice and crisp but the fish itself was mushy. My Monte Cristo was very good. I like the raspberry jam that goes with it. We definitely had plenty to take home. Our server was very good and we had no complaints there.

Why haven't I tried Cheddar's sooner?! I started with the chips and queso, which were so good, and then ordered the New Orleans Pasta for my main meal. It comes with chicken, shrimp, and sausage and OMG -- it was amazing. I don't know what they do with their sauce, but I seriously want the recipe. It was that good. On top of the great food, the prices are super reasonable. And for $5, you can get a Tito's and cranberry -- anytime, any day. I don't know many restaurants offering deals like that anymore. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. Great food, great prices, and definitely a new go-to spot. We'll absolutely be back.

We come to Cheddars because we can count on consistently good food and good prices. Yeah service wasn't bad the atmosphere is nice & causal, good for large groups or smaller. But the food is where it's at, our go to is starting with the spinach dip, the monte cristo and Dijon chicken .

I like this chain restaurant a lot, and can't understand why there aren't more in the valley. I can't speak for other locations, but this one is very pretty, with gorgeous brickwork, lots of plants, a built in aquarium, and a super cool overhead fan. This place does serve alcohol. The menu has a lot of different options of standard American food. There is also a nice cocktail menu. The real surprise are the prices, which are pretty darn good. We ordered: *Cajun Chicken Bowl *Homemade Chicken Pot Pie with Caesar salad *Philly Cheesesteak with fries *Grilled Whitefish with Broccoli Cheese Casserole and Coleslaw We all liked our meals, although hubby said that even though his Cajun Chicken Bowl was good, it want very "Cajun." The salad that came with my pot pie was huge--wayyy bigger than a regular side salad and the Caesar dressing was sooo good. My pot pie was a little runny, but it didn't matter to me because it tasted good. Affordable, good food in a nice atmosphere with good service.

Came here for lunch after shopping in the area. We were greeted as soon as we entered red and were shown to a table. The restaurant was nice and clean and our waitress was friendly. The service was pretty quick and I think the prices were very reasonable. I got the Caesar pasta salad which I thought was a unique twist on a regular Caesar salad. The menu was pretty big with a wide variety of options. I would describe this place as being like a Chili's or TGIF but with a bit of a southern twist. They had things like fried Shrimp and rice and beans. Overall, it was nothing super amazing but if you're in the area and looking for a cheaper sit down place to go, this is a good option.

Food - The ribs were tender and moist. They were fall off the bone good. They had good flavor. I wasn't too much of a fan of the corn. It tasted so plain. The honey butter croissants that come complimentary at the beginning of the meal were delicious. The fries and chicken fingers were alright. Atmosphere - No strange or strong odors or smells. No music playing when I visited. I liked that. I prefer no music over loud music. I don't like loud music. It's hard to hear with loud music. I did not visit the restroom. Pleasant temperature inside. I have been to some places where it's been hot or cold. Quite a few other customers were inside when I visited. Seemed like a popular place. I liked the mood lighting. Service - Sit down style. Order and pay at the table. No self seating. Staff seemed busy with so many customers. Parking - Surface parking lot. No parking meter or parking structures or solar panels. Unique - Fish tank aquarium in the lobby. Mood lighting. Did not see a health rating on Yelp.

Wow! I've been going to outback with my father every Sunday for I don't know how many years. We stopped going just because of the price gouging. First off, I just wanted to say thanks to cheddars for keeping reasonable prices. I had never been in there before, passed by a few times for some reason I thought it was a breakfast place. I was going to come in tonight, but then I realized it was Monday night football. So I decided to take advantage of their delivery option. I am just amazed. The steak was thick and tasty. The baked potato was great. Not sure if it was supposed to come with sour cream and butter, but neither of them were there. It's fine. I had butter. The corn was tasty as well. The complementary sweet croissant was just an added bonus. Nice touch. I never plan on going to outback again. I am now a repeat customer of cheddars. Thank you guys!

Cheddars has some of the best prices in town for large portions of yummy, home cooked, scratch kitchen food! For starters they give you a honey buttered croissant...now that's how you start a meal! We sat at the bar and had a great view of the water tank, it was very clean and had beautiful, lively, fish. For lunch we ordered the country fried chicken and half rack ribs with chicken tenders. The country fried chicken is served with your choice of white or brown gravy and both dishes are served with your choice of two sides. They were both really good, great flavors and the ribs were fall off the bone tender. However, the chicken tenders were cold and the chicken was very dry, they kinda seemed like an afterthought. Our sides were mash potatoes, side salad, buttered corn. I definitely recommend Cheddar's and we will be back to enjoy more!!

Did they bring back the onion rings?

They were on the menu !

If I want to have a birthday dinner with a large group, do I have to call ahead or I can just walk in?

I suggest calling ahead regardless. They might still be limiting large groups.

Do you need reservations for lunch?

We do not accept call-ahead reservations at any time in any of our restaurants. Great question - thanks for asking!

Monte Cristo was recommended. I'd love opinion of how it ranks. I'm looking at over an hour drive, so I wanna know if it's worth it. Been craving MC, but how does it stack up?

I enjoyed it, but it as my 1st ever MC. Maybe not worth an hr drive......

Ambiance (4/5): Firebirds is a spacious restaurant with both a bar area and sit-down area. It kind of gives you a cabin feel, with some sophistication. From what I was told, Firebirds attracts a lot of snow birds... so older clientele. The restaurant wasn't too busy with it being the summer while we were there. Service (4/5): The bartender let us stay a good deal after close which is always nice (especially since they close relatively early). She still had to clean up, so I'm glad we weren't rushed. She also yapped a lot to us. Not a problem though, nice and charming lady. Food (N/A): We had dinner prior so we were on a liquid diet. Drinks (4/5): Solid cocktail list which is something I always appreciate. The star of the show, though? Look for a large jug of sorts at the end of the bar full of pineapple slices. You know where I'm going with this...a fermented pineapple vodka cocktail. We've all done something like this in college... well, I have at least. This is the grown-up version. Served in a martini glass. And on special during happy hour for 5 buckeroos. You can thank me later. I'll have to try the food next time!

Ambiance (4/5): Nice-looking restaurant. And a spacious one at that. Once you walk in, there's a wine tasting area. Pass through that, and you'll see a bar area on the right and a sit-down area straight ahead. We ended up sitting at the bar. There were only two seats available, at the end of the bar, where the seating was much lower than the rest of the bar. A bit of an awkward set-up, but I'll take that any day of the week over waiting. Service (2.5/5): The restaurant was packed on a Friday evening. The wait time was an hour and a half which is pretty wild. Luckily, we found the last two seats at the bar. Service was about average. Not terribly friendly, not terribly efficient, but not bad either. They were out of the entree I wanted which was a bit of a bummer. Drinks (4/5): While they have a full bar, Cooper's, as the name indicates, is known for their wine. They even have a wine club. I ended up going with a wine flight where you get to try four different wines. There are some restrictions, but you can pick pretty much most of what you want from their large menu. It was nice to get a mix of wines I was interested in. I love the variety! Food (4.5/5): They start you off with some complimentary warm pretzel bread and butter which is always a nice touch. From there, even though they were out of my first choice, my second choice wasn't too shabby. I went with the chicken picatta which is one of my favorite Italian dishes. Good portion size with three breaded chicken fillets, plus the pasta. The lemon sauce was just right. A filling and delicious meal. My partner in crime had the Caprese flatbread, which I tried... also delicious. The first time I visited Cooper's was in Tampa many years ago. It's great to dine with them again (just try to avoid peak hours if you can)!
