I wanted to like Cheddars a lot more but I can't give this place more then 3 stars. The restaurant does get pretty busy and there was a pretty long wait the times I've been so keep that in mind. The food isn't anything to write home about. I've tried their burgers (Pretty solid) and also their ribs (not good). The main issue though other then the avg food is the service has been really slow each time and not very attentive. I do like the decor, very modern and there's a nice bar. Overall I'll probably skip here as there are a ton of other spots close by to eat at. read more

To sum it up in one word, wow. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon, only a 25 minute wait. Our drinks were never empty, our meals we absolutely incredible. My wife had the chicken tenders with fries, I had the ribs with a Caesar salad. I can't express how incredible it all tasted. 100/10 would recommend and will be back again. read more

I thought about 3 stars, but the food just didn't bring up the negatives enough to warrant it. The food was OK to good, not spectacular. I had Salmon that was supposed to be bourbon glazed, never did taste any glaze, only dried out salmon, that was good enough, but did disappoint. Broccoli casserole was tasty but not warm, my mashed potatoes were very good, but barely warm at best. They were out of Coke Zero sugar, so I had water, this really started me off on a negative vibe, especially since we, a party of 7 waited 45 minutes for our food on a Wednesday night. We also waited 30 minutes to be seated. We thought this would be a good sign it being so popular. The general consensus of our party was the food wasn't bad but not great enough to warrant the price and the waiting times. My father in law ordered pork chop with same Bourbon Glaze, and he couldn't taste any glaze either, something was on it, but no real taste at all. They gave us complementary chocolate chip cookies, since it was our first visit. The cookies were burnt and unfortunately the kids wouldn't even eat them. A perfect cap on a less than wonderful experience, we probably won't go back since Friday's, O'Charley's, or Carraba's serve as good or better food, and I have never waited 45 minutes for my food at any of thse places, and it was a week night too not a Saturday night or anything. read more

The atmosphere and service is great and the restaurant itself is stunning. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup (good) and a baked potato (meh). Our kids ordered a cheeseburger (great), corn (good) and baked potato soup (amazing!!). Our only real issue is that my husband got the New Orleans pasta and it wasn't very good. The noodles were over cooked and the dish lacked basic spices & flavor. And I yes, I tried a bite of everything ordered so it's not just hearsay. I'd go back again for sure! read more

The hubby and I tried this place for dinner a few weeks ago. Big place, full of people and looked like a nice place. Hubby had bbq ribs, fries and slaw. It looked ok, nothing special. It tasted good, lots of meat, but a little dry. I had key west chicken and shrimp. The waitress said it was her favorite dish. Well, it was not mine. Not even a little bit. Small, dry chicken over rice, a few small shrimp and my side was corn. It had a pineapple pico de gallo sprinkled on top. The corn had to come from a can. The pineapple had to be from a can too. The plate had a bland color to it. It wasn't good. Our waitress was really nice. A tad too peppy. She came back to our table while we were eating 9 times. That's not including when she greeted us or brought the bill. My hubby and I were making bets on the total number of times she would stop by. I won! LOL! Prices weren't bad. We arrived around 2:30 PM. We're given a pager and told it would be 5-10 minutes. It was more like 20. We were seated in a large curved corner booth although it was just the two of us. Our server, Denise, came tearing by three down two saucers and two croissants and said she would be back. She eventually was. Her style of taking our orders for drinks was barking out questions like a drill Sargent. After we ordered she barked out "Ready to order lunch?" We were so we did. She dashed off. She brought the drinks back water and tea fairly quickly then disappeared for quite a while. She eventually showed up with our food. Slapped it down and dashed off again, no questions about refills, nada. She gave us a shoutout on the way by about 15 minutes later and asked if I would like some more tea. The question was evidently rhetorical since I said yes and never got any. She finally came after a fairly long lull in the relationship and brought the check. She had trouble running my card through the tabletop card processor and did have the few mice to apologize since it took her four tries. I could have done it but she grabbed it up to do It. The only smile and regular tone we got was when she was pointing out how to add the tip. I was using a gift card For $50. Our bill was $39. I had planned to give the server whatever was left on the gift card. I gave her $6 and change. If you cannot figure out you need to be nice to the people who are going to determine your tip you do not deserve more than 10%, so I was generous. Combined with z cheddar's stated partnership on signs and in the menu that they are partnering with the racist NASCAR organization it will be a cold day in hell when I step foot in another one! Last night my husband and I decided to go out for a nice date night. We arrived and immediately saw the staff running around very unorganized. They were decently busy but not packed. The lady at the podium looked at me and said, "It has been a night". While I felt bad for her, I was not impressed that's how my dining experience was starting out. Another lady took my name and handed me a buzzer and said it would be a 15-20 min wait which I was ok with. Pleasantly surprised, the buzzer went off before the 15 minutes we were told. The staff looked puzzled when I handed them our flashing buzzer and stood there and waited a while to figure out where they were going to sit us. They finally got us seated in a nice booth. Our waitress came and took our drink order which was brought back very quickly. I then decided to go to the restroom before dinner which was VERY unclean. The stalls were out of toilet paper, only 1 sink had soap, and only the opposite sink had paper towels. Gross.. Back at the table, our food arrived! We then realized we had no silverware.. so, I got up and went to the front to ask for two. They had to go back to the kitchen to get them which was fine but did not help my experience. I ordered the blackened salmon with rice and carrots. My waitress did not tell me the plate already came with rice, so I got rice on the plate, a side of rice and carrots.. had I known this I would have chosen another side. The salmon was overdone but still had a good taste. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak which was very good but said it could have used something to dip it in. Overall, we would be willing to come back. The food was good for the prices. I hope it was just an off night for the staff/cleaning crew. read more

I brought my mother here for her birthday tonight as I thought she would enjoy the experience. When a Cheddars is managed properly they can serve great tasting home style food, with a flair. Such as their tower of onion rings. This is the second time recently that I have visited this particular Cheddars and have been very disappointed in their service. Tonight, we were a party of 3. We arrived at 7:30 to a 15 minute wait. We were seated within the 15 minutes. Our server promptly came over and took our drink orders. When he brought us back our drinks, he took our orders. He came back within a few minutes of taking our orders with the soup that 2 of us ordered. We finished our soup. He cleared our bowls. Then the wait began...........until 8:50 pm when one of us physically got up to find a manager. Our food came out within 3 minutes of speaking with the manager. The server promptly brought us our checks at 9:11 pm while we were still eating. We paid full price for our meals and left an average tip. I left the restaurant very disgruntled as this was very similar to our last experience. Prior to tonight we came in as a party of 4 mid afternoon on a Sunday. It wasn't real busy. 3 out of 4 of us received our meals. No one ever checked back with us about the 4th meal. We had to flag our server down to ask him what was going on. It still took another 10 minutes to receive the 4th order. By this time the rest of us were done eating. Cheddars was one of my favorite chains to eat at. I'm not sure if I trust them anymore. I get more consistent service at other restaurants that serve similar food. read more

Went there for late lunch around 2 to avoid long wait..20 minute wait because they didn't have enough servers. Got seated, pleasant waitress took our drink order and came back 5 minutes with them. She then took our order and thanked us for our patience, again pleasant. 30 minutes later she came back and asked us what we ordered and retoOk our order. 20 minutes later our food arrived missing several items but we just wanted to eat and leave so we started. 10 minutes later she stopped by and we asked her for the missing items which she brought to us. We frequent this establishment often. Our favorite is the chicken tenders dinner. It was delivered in a quick 3 minutes. The tenders were piping hot and the cole slaw terrific. The french fries looked tasty but were stone cold. Our server Trent M was inattentive. The kitchen runner brought our meals to the table and was very pleasant. Our server NEVER checked back with us to see if our meals were correct and we were satisfied. Very disappointing. OK food, but the service and the energy level of the staff leave a LOT to be desired. We ate here on a Saturday evening in early December after shopping - not particularly busy. My wife's margarita came out quickly and wasn't completely frozen as she ordered it - mostly liquid right after being served. My moonshine bloody mary was delayed by about 15 minutes because they ran out of glasses. (?) My drink tasted like it was made from a bottled mix with a lot of spicy seasoning that traveled up the straw when I drank it. I'd call both drinks mediocre and poorly made. We ordered potato skins for the appetizer. True to form with chain restaurants that don't care about your comfort or timing, our entrees came out right on top of the appetizer, and the server just says "oh, I see you just got your appetizer - sorry." Thanks for making it right, not! :( My wife was happy with her chicken salad but my "blackened salmon" light portion was plain grilled with no perceptible seasoning, and it along with the rice it were served on were almost cold. We observed a lot of kids working at the place, and some older types over 45, all taking their time. It looked like a leisurely place to work. Very good prices, though. Basically this is an Applebee's type of menu at close to Applebee's prices, but the drinks and the service at Applebee's are generally better, although Cheddar's is a very much nicer looking and more comfortable restaurant. read more

This place is mediocre at best to be honest. I ordered the fish with mango salsa and came out super bland. Mango was under ripe and fries were absolutely dripping with grease. This was on the "healthy" side of the menu and their fries are just soaked in oil. Sodas were flat too. The only think nice about this place is the decoration. got my to go order home today 6/20/2022, to find out I was missing and entree and salad. called the restaurant to tell about a missing item, got put on hold 4x and sat on hold for 19 minutes. Manager finally comes on, automatically assumes I wanted to drive back and pick up the meal that I already paid for and NEVER once apologized or said sorry for your inconvenience! took my information so she could email me a refund for the food I was missing, and that's it! I've been to Cheddar's twice now, and both times the food was good but the wait was terrible. The second visit was so terrible, I'm not sure I'll go back. We got there at 5:45 and were told 30 minutes. We waited outside for 30 minutes, and then went inside for an update and were told it would be 20 minutes longer. We stayed inside near the fish tank and could see three open booths and two open tables from where we stood. Only one table and one booth got occupied while we waited for our buzzer to go off. Once it went off the hostess led us to our table were we passed three large booths, completely unoccupied and already cleared. There were at least 30-40 people waiting for seats. They heard them telling groups larger than 4 that it would be an hour or longer while we stood waiting. I don't understand why they didn't utilize all of their empty seats, unless they simply didn't have the staff, but either way, it was a bit ridiculous. Our waiter was very nice and anything under his control he took care of great, but our drinks from the bar (which he couldn't control) took 15+ minutes. As I said, the food was good, but I don't have 2-3 hours to spend on dinner that isn't anything better than other restaurants really. read more

Cheddar's won't win any Michelin Awards or compete with Gordon Ramsey, but their food is good and the prices are more than reasonable. On a recent visit my wife had a steak and I had the fried shrimp. The entrees were excellent. The sides were ok, but nothing special. The ambiance was excellent with a good wine list and attractive bar area. Our service was fine. I was not a fan, I was so excited to try this place, but it was a flop. I had salmon with rice pilaf and a salad. The serving size she got me without asking was lunch sized portion, it looked like a kids meal!!!! I honestly laughed lol! I thought the waitress was kidding when she served me my plate! This place was really good when they first opened. Not so much anymore. They did away with call-ahead seating. The table where they seated us had not been cleaned (big puddle of goop in the middle) and my feet stuck to the floor; nasty. The chips (w/queso & beef) were oily; literally wet to the touch. Finally got a chance to go here today and it turned out to be as good as the one in Kentucky we have been to. We have been waiting since they announced it was coming last year and was not disappointed. We arrived at opening and of course got right in and were seated in the center of restaurant near the large fish tank. The table was fine, but I think once they got busy it could be a little tight on space. We were waited on by Allison, she was friendly and got our drink order quickly, and took our food order. She checked on us several times throughout the meal, keeping drinks filled and used dishes off the table. The food was great, just like we have had in the past. Prices are good for the quality and quantity of food received. We were in and out in 40 minutes without being rushed. We will definitely be back, there a lot of different things to try. read more
