Two things: 6:00 p.m. Monday night 11/13/2023 1. Burgers had not seen a heat source in an hour if ever. Not heated up. Stone cold. All of them. These folks have given up trying. 2. The cashier gave me my card back GREASY. And not just one spot of grease. The entire card was greasy. Gross. Bonus thing: 3. Fries were inedible due to being WAY, WAY oversalted. This Checkers has been here for years. It has also been years since I been here. I used to come to it on Saturdays when I shop at the Dollar General Store that sits in about the same parking lot. I got the today's special which includes a spicy chicken double sandwich, fries, and a coke. This location has nothing but two drive thrus. So, that is where I ordered it. I had never been to a Checkers before because they don't exist up in New England. So while staying in Cleveland, TN, where you can find nearly every type of fast food and chain restaurant, I figured I would check it out. I ordered from their Pick 2 menu, which at the time was running a special that included two sandwiches and a discount on some of their wings. I ordered the Checkerburger, the spicy chicken sandwich, and the lemon pepper dry rub boneless wings. The burger and the chicken sandwich were very tasty, but the lemon pepper wings were basically regular boneless wings cooked in a deep fryer and then tossed with what felt like a gallon of generic lemon pepper seasoning. They had that weird artificial lemon flavor and were extremely salty. Next time I would try a different flavor for the wings. Overall I really liked Checkers because their food was high quality and their prices were even better. I can't wait to try it out again. read more

I love checkers. The food is great! The only negative is that sometimes you get drivethru workers who are very rude. But other than that

They keep messing up orders and it's too far yo drive back, this time they didn't put the receipt in the bag. Won't be going back there.

Never again. My hamburger was cold. Not"they made it 10 minutes ago" cold, but COLD. The meat gad been cooked hours ago then put in the fridge. The cheese was not even melted. The fries were stale and greasy. The chicken sandwich was way overcooked and so tough and dry it was inedible. Matter of fact the diet coke was the only part of my order that was edible. Done. This Checker's location was once a good place to grab a quick hot burger and tasty fries. But not anymore. My last three visits were terrible, both in food and service. The cheeseburgers were cold. COLD! The bun was cold, the cheese was never slightly warmed. The beef was tepid. The attitude of the window person was combined snark and rudeness. She was unaware of the combo price (in large letters on the road sign out front) and when I told her the price was wrong, she raised her voice to me. This was the second time I experienced this person's rudeness. Today I read the Tennessee Health Department score is a 72. That's an almost failing score. Good bye Checker's. You've failed me for the last time. I don't need the cold food and lousy service. read more

The worker was arguing with her manager in front of me at the window. They got my order wrong and were overall jank. Food 0/10 I could feel my arteries closing up with every bite. read more

Chili cheeseburger was tasty. 7 year old grandson enjoyed regular cheeseburger. Food was nice and warm. Service very good.

We had shakes form here no food but the shakes were really good. The staff was very nice and friendly.

I'm a huge fan of checkers anyway, but this particular location is downright impressive. I'm always quickly in and out and the food is always hot, fresh, and incredibly tasty. Noone around matches the prices for quality. Cookout try real hard but that old building across the street is killing it. My kids also love checkers and the dollar shakes are legit. I will continue to frequent this location a couple times per week. read more

My boyfriend and I came to this Checkers on 10/15/7 at 7pm because he had a coupon for free loaded fries and we just wanted a quick dinner. We ordered 2 of the 4 for $3 meals and of course the loaded fries and the total came to $9. My boyfriend asked if the coupon was applied and an extremely rude African American woman could have simply said "no not yet please pull up" but instead she said "pull up for your total" with a major attitude. When we got to the window the attitude continued as if we were bothering her with our coupon. The worst part is that the boy who was actually working the window had to apologize for her attitude and she seemed to be the manager! I get that a job at Checkers isn't exactly ideal but if you don't have customer service skills do everyone a favor and clean the toilets instead. Giving this place 2 stars only because of the nice boy who has to put up with that woman, he needs to be the manager, not her! read more

Lunch at the Checkers in Cleveland, TN today. Chili dog combo (fires and drink) with an apple pie for desert. Fast food. Friendly staff. The hot dog was good, however it could have been much better. The hot dog itself wasn't served very hot. The chili was piping hot. The bun wasn't steamed. The onions were not chopped but sliced like for serving on a hamburger. In all, not bad for fast food, but with a little more attention the hot dog could have been much better. Outdoor seating area needs attention, as the trash cans are full and the tables and patio are littered. read more

Amazing amazing amazing!! I don't usually like fast food.. But ohmygoodness. It's really good. The fries are always fresh hot and flavorful. I tried a burger perfect.. Not greasy at all or dry.
