From start to finish Angel was a great help and excellent customer service he makes sure the job gets done and won't screw you over with prices. They were extremely cheap and affordable. One thing that I loved was that even though I came to get my splash shield replace they still did a car diagnostic check which was very thoughtful they even send you a text of the diagnostic and before and after of the maintenance work so you know you aren't getting scammed. I definitely will be bringing my corolla back here again for any car maintenance.

They were able to take in my car the very next day. The service: I received texts with photos during the entire diagnostic process - amazing. I had a problem with warning notifications that another place had told me was because some sensors were going bad. Nope. Angel fixed it by just replacing the battery. The sensors weren't getting enough voltage... I had the brakes done, brake line flushed, and battery replaced in a few hours, and the car was ready to be picked up the same day - all at a great price. Angel was a pleasure to work with. Today when my car died outside of the library I called the shop and Ryan assured me that if I towed it over they would take care of it so I did. I was immediately greeted by the staff and Ryan went straight to work. The problem was diagnosed and repaired in less than 2 hours. He was direct, accurate and incredibly helpful. I am grateful for his hard work. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I ALWAYS recommend this shop for the fact that they've never been wrong and have always been honest. Many times I've sent my friends to Gateway for second opinions and nearly every time their diagnosis was on point and way more affordable. It's hard to find an honest mechanic in this town... SO TAKE IT AT FACE VALUE!!!! Took my Suburban in for an oil leak, the owner said with confidence "It's your rear main seal" - alright let's fix it. $642.40 later, my trucks still leaking. Took it back, they said "oh it's a oil pan leak, well cover it cuz it was our mistake." The son had a LITTLE puff in his chest when my husband went back to pick my truck up. Had attitude and acted like he wanted to step toe to toe with husband over being (RIGHTFULLY) annoyed with them giving him the run around. Now here the FUN part. My husband knows my truck, his truck and our cars. He fixes them, he does all the work, major or minor if it permits with his work schedule! But With his new job and commuting, he didn't have time to devote to my truck, so he caved to take it in to this company because it's walking distance from our home & their price was TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. Basically, we shelled them 642.40 to do absolutely nothing but give us the run around and essentially tell my husband he's dumb and doesn't understand mechanics. insert eye roll here. If you want to waste your money and be belittled by an insecure son of the owner, take your cars here. If you want quality work, go ANYWHERE else!! I'll be taking my truck back out to Brentwood to our very trusted mechanic/friend, Luis to actually fix my oil leak. Now he's a 5 star trusted business, this one. Hell no! STEER CLEAR!!!!!

But to this day, Alex still services my Honda, and I wouldn't trust it with anyone else. One thing I truly appreciate about Alex is that he has never tried to overcharge me or make me feel like I don't understand what's going on with my car. He takes the time to explain everything, treats his customers with respect, and believes in doing honest work for a fair price. Good mechanics are hard to find. Honest mechanics are even harder. Alex is both. He's exceptional at what he does, but what stands out even more is the kind of person he is. He genuinely loves his work and goes out of his way to help people whenever he can. The receptionist told me they were empty and that removing a nail from my tire would take about five minutes. When we arrived, the receptionist was sitting in the waiting room on a personal phone call. She didn't acknowledge us at all for about five minutes. After she finally hung up, she helped us and said it would be closer to 10 minutes -- fine. What wasn't fine was what happened next. The man I assume is the owner stopped working on our car as soon as his friend walked in and started having a personal conversation with him. When he noticed we were clearly getting irritated, he said, "Two more minutes," then walked back into the garage with his friend. We eventually walked outside and saw him laughing, joking, and talking with his friend and the other employees instead of working on the car. A repair that we were told would take five minutes turned into almost an hour of waiting. To be fair, we paid $25 for the service, which isn't bad -- but the lack of professionalism and complete disregard for our time ruined the experience. One of my biggest pet peeves is when businesses don't respect their customers' time, especially after being told something very different upfront. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
