    Europa Tile & Stone

    Europa Tile & Stone

We were dissapponted with the quality of the work from Europa. They were a sub for our GC and did a…read morevery mediocre job for the price. It was $6000 for a stand up shower (two walls tiled to ceiling with a shampoo/soap niche, the rest glass) and a smallish floor (about 10 x 4). The tile was black and white ceramic - no stone. There are several reasons why we are unhappy and here they are: 1) The niche shelf for the soap was slanted too much and the soap slides off. It's useless. 2) The grout job was one of the poorest I've seen. There are grout lines in the floor where the grout was never thoroughly pressed in with the grout trowel and you can see the thin set. We are waiting for them to come back and fix this post-quarantine, but we'll see if they follow up. In addition, the grout "pile up" in the corners is pretty bad, 3) The sponge off job on all of the grout was lousy. There was grout left on tiles and the tiles were still "cloudy" from poor follow up cleaning/sponging. We continue to clean them off, 4) The tile is not level in some areas. So some of the shower tiles are raised more than others. Kinda looks like a beginner tile job in places, 5) They left our other bathroom gross. No details needed here. This showed disrespect for the customer. Why do they expect us to clean up the toilet after them and flush it for them? Our GC cleaned the bathroom after we voiced our displeasure. We have had a lot of tile work done over the years and this was almost the worst in terms of finishing and attention to detail. If we had more tile work to do we would not use them.

Stopped by to see the showroom on my day off. Showed them some pinterest picture ideas I had and…read moreasked if they had anything like them. She immediately just said no. I walked around and saw numerous samples of exactly what I was looking for, some very close to the pictures. She went into the back room to watch tv. I'm guessing they only work with design companies and she assumed I was wasting her time. While so much is now offered on the internet including samples, I guess that will be my only option.
