First, they showed up two days late, no call, no explanation. Then, the crew was incredibly unprofessional - loud music, smoking on the job, and I swear I saw one of them take a nap in my backyard. The quality of the work is appalling. Shingles are uneven, some are missing, and I've already found nails scattered all over my lawn. I've got a leak in my attic now, which I didn't have before. When I called to complain, they were incredibly rude and dismissive, blaming 'weather' (it was a sunny day). Avoid this company like the plague unless you want a leaky roof and a headache.

Every part of the process for siding replacement with Thunder Bay exceeded our expectations and…read morethey are our new favorite contractor. Nick was responsive and gave us a thorough quote noting that everything would be done to manufacturer specifications, which gave us peace of mind. The team was professional, courteous, and did a great job. Nick did walkthroughs before and after the job to ensure the project manager understood our areas of concern and the job was completed to spec. When we found a couple minor items (like caulking around light fixtures), a tech handled it quickly and even tried to resolve issues with our (old and fragile) fence even though not entirely attributable to the siding install. We would recommend Thunder Bay to anyone!

I found Riverside Home Services online and called them to discuss a roof project that had created…read moresome leak issues indoors. Joe was prompt to respond, knowledgeable, patient and extremely helpful. He even called our insurance, explained the issues and advocated for us! I was very impressed so we hired Riverside for the job. Joe's team just completed the job, it was done well but we did have some communication issues with the schedule half way through which resulted in the job taking longer than we had anticipated. I have to say though that once I told Joe I was feeling frustrated with the poor schedule planning and communication, he immediately fixed it and it didn't happen again. In fact, he gave us a discount for the trouble (and I didn't even ask). I would have taken a star away from Riverside for the bumps in the road half way through, but I appreciated they listened carefully and got back on track. If you need a contractor, Joe is the guy! He is easy to talk to, pays attention to the detail, and makes the customer feel he has your best interest in mind. I am confident he will take good care of you. Highly recommended!

They completed a second-story addition in Mardela Springs, replaced the roof on my parents' home in Hebron, and have handled several roof replacements in Salisbury, MD. Every job has been done quickly, professionally, and at a very fair price. One thing that really stands out is how easy they are to work with--especially when it comes to insurance claims for roofing work. They help guide the process and make things much less stressful for homeowners. The crews are efficient and respectful of the property, and the cleanup is always impressive--no nails, no debris, nothing left behind. If you're in the Salisbury or Wicomico County area and need a reliable roofing contractor, I'd definitely recommend giving Precision Exteriors a call.

There was no sales pressure, and I decided a few days later via text. Phillip took care of everything else from there with a few emails. The price was right. Less than a week later Willian and a helper showed up and got to work. After a little conversation I went into the house and 2 hours and 53 minutes later the job was done (93 linear feet of gutters). One thing I have to state is, Willian showed up on trash day. I moved my trashcan down the street a little as to not disturb their work. When the trashman came I was waiting, and he asked me for a bottle of water. Before I could go in the house, Willian hopped in the back of his truck and got 3 for the trashmen. Enough cannot be for how awesome this was! Highly Recommend!!! Wayne Owens

I hired Bill Addison Painting to paint my garage. He initially quoted $2,500, which included fixing…read morethe walls and making them look nice before painting. Since I'm not familiar with painting or wall repair, I asked my boyfriend--who has 25 years of construction experience--to speak with him about the scope and cost. My boyfriend, who is currently stationed overseas, was able to negotiate the price down to $1,800. Bill claimed that $600 of that was just for materials. Given that cost, I expected the walls to be properly prepped, primed with drywall primer, and imperfections repaired. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. While I appreciate that his team removed the old shelving, they left the hose mount on the wall and got paint on the door frame. They also failed to leave me the extra paint I had paid for, which I needed to address missed spots and repairs. I reached out to Bill via text three times. He initially said he would bring the extra paint but then stopped responding. I ultimately had to take a piece of damaged wall to Sherwin-Williams to get a color match and fix it myself. To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns and asked him to speak with my boyfriend directly, he was dismissive and unprofessional. I've since had other painters look at the job, and they agreed I was overcharged for the quality of work delivered. Lesson learned: If you decide to hire this company, make sure you're either knowledgeable about painting or have someone experienced with you to avoid being taken advantage of--especially when it comes to labor and material costs.

The biggest mistake I've made as a homeowner was getting involved with Park Place. I entered into a…read morecontact for a new metal roof in early June. The materials arrived later than I expected and the "work" took place around the 8th of September. I notified them of several issues on the 12th. Besides the materials left in my driveway and my daughter's things on my deck destroyed there were nails and screws left everywhere. This upset me greatly seeing as I had just spent a couple grand on tires for both my vehicles. Also there were missing screws, scratched panels and a questionable vent boot install. When I notified them of my concerns, no apology was offered only excuses. At that point I was ready to move on and have someone else complete the work but because a friend recommended them, I agreed to give them a second chance. Upon agreeing to that second chance I was offered snow guards for the hassle, I accepted. Around November 9 the "fix" happened and since I work long days, it took a few to see the catastrophe in the daylight. I honestly can't believe they thought it would go unnoticed. A creased panel was removed but put back. The boot was relocated to a ridge (which Mr. Randall's emails stated they don't do) and again there was an open hole in my metal. Both times they did get out and caulk the open holes they left but both times it had rained before they got out. How much water got in? The vent boot that was moved was not secured to the roof and the "free" snow guards for my hassle weren't completed. I notified them again of their shortcomings. This time I did get an apology but wrapped in more excuses and finger pointing. But, I agreed to one more chance and that brings us to Dec 16. Mr. Randall would like a third chance on the 18th, 2 days notice. I have company coming but agree because I will be home and I want to see under the panel that possibly had water get through. He responds with a little more attitude than I'm willing to accept this late in the game. I swore in my response which led to a lecture email from Mr. Randall on respect. A phone call happened in which I was informed by Chris that I need to act like an adult, we are in this position because I don't read emails and more excuses saying every job has a punch out. Ok, I'll accept my faults but how did any of my responses prevent Park Place from doing the job correctly either of the first two attempts? If a punch out is expected by management when Park Place does work, when was someone going to do a quality control visit? I keep hearing that punch outs are expected but my house is a small and simple split. Not a lot to go wrong but they made sure everything that could, did. I hope everyone that reads this takes these things into consideration before choosing Park Place. There are more reliable contractors out there.
