What he didn't tell me was that, five to six feet from his attic ladder inspection, was an extremely obvious water pipe leak that had created black fungus on nearby wood. So obvious you could easily view without a flashlight. So what we have here is deceiving a possible customer by telling him he has a roofing leak when, in reality, a plumber was needed to correct the interior water pipe leak. Thus, my one-star rating, which actually should be lower.

We had been heckled by window people here and there and initially went on Yelp! to ensure we found three reputable companies that would be honest and not waste our time. We met with Paul first and immediately wanted to go with him because he was to the point, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable about why the window he recommended was best for us. Further, Paul also provided recommendations on our basement window - recommending glass block as the best for insulation and aesthetics - rather than pushing for a sale - as well as how to insulate our door. He said we didn't pay the balance until he came himself and inspected the windows after his installers did the job. Even though we wanted to go with Paul from the start, we got two other quotes for good measure. One other company came in with a very close quote and similar window, but definitely didn't give the same warm customer service that Paul did. The other company sent a young college kid who came 15 minutes late with a canned sales pitch. He stayed over an hour and my husband tried to kick him out several times. Their window was similar to Paul's, but their price was twice as much. Back to Paul and his team....they came and installed 7 windows for us in about 5 hours. It was a team of 4 guys and they were incredibly careful about protecting our things. They had their system down as to who was doing what and they were very meticulous with their process. After they left, Paul came over and did the final inspection. He also showed my husband a few tricks with the window and told him that if we had any issues, he'd come out personally to help us out. I also just got the report below from our energy supplier - just one month and our usage is down 19%. We were able to immediately drop our thermostat 2 degrees and we have absolutely no drafts. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. Tony texted me on Saturday afternoon to let me know how the installation was going and to provide photos. The new roof and skylight were completed Sunday afternoon.
