Fortunately, it isn't time for us to do a full roof project just yet, but we will definitely be hiring Wells Home Improvement when that time comes! I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Wells Home Improvement following a roof replacement. While the roof itself was completed, the lack of professionalism and total absence of communication afterward has been unacceptable. The Issues: Negligence: After finishing the roof, the crew completely forgot to reattach the gutters. Lack of Communication: It took several phone calls just to get a response regarding the gutters. I have since tried to contact them multiple times in writing regarding other issues, and they have completely ignored my messages. Property Damage/Residue: Upon closer inspection, there is now visible residue inside my bathroom skylight left behind by the workers. HOA Violations: Because this is a rental property, the detached front downspout resulted in me receiving a violation notice from my HOA before I was even aware of the problem. As a property owner I rely on contractors to be thorough and responsive. Wells Home Improvement failed on both counts. If you are looking for a company that stands by their work and communicates with their clients, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

First call to schedule quote, nobody returned my call. Called again, someone returned my call and scheduled time to come out for quote and then never showed up. Disappointed. read more

We recently got our roof replaced, and I trusted Jarrett with Wells's home improvement for this project. The customer service was amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we needed and what we wanted not just some standard choices to make his life easier. Wells Home Improvements just did my new roof and they did a fabulous job, they are an outstanding company they are professional, easy to deal, they tell you what they will do and they came and did exactly that. The roofing staff was great too, my yard and landscaping looked exactly how they found it no nails or other debris left in the yard or driveway. They are fast too they did my roof in one day! They did a good job on the roof, but they have not sent over a receipt or before and after pictures for the Insurance company it has been three weeks still waiting on before and after pictures and receipt for the purchase of the roof paid in full read more

Wells came in after our previous contractors ghosted us, so they had their work cut out for them. Initial site visit went well, they seemed knowledgeable about bringing everything to code and having to reverse things the previous contractors had done incorrectly. Once awarded the job, however, we were handed off to the "D Team", who also built things incorrectly, left unbelievable messes, showed up sporadically, and even had the nerve to ask to "borrow" money from us. Management was dismissive of our concerns and said the project was finished when there were still several parts clearly undone (not painted, no moulding, giant mess!) Finally upon finishing, we thought we could enjoy our space. But then it rained. And leaked. Little did we know, the D Team did not bring the roof to code, leaving it prone to water damage. Now the leak needs to be mitigated, new materials put down to bring to code, and the interior is compromised and needs resending and painting. Wells came out to look at the situation, but did not send a quote or follow up on fixing anything, even when owner was contacted. So essentially they ghosted mid project as well - we wantef to pay for the work they should have quoted in the first place. It was extremely disappointing to get the quality of service, knowledge, and craftsmanship we received from a company so seemingly well respected in this community. Don't trust Wells! read more

They quoted me, I signed the quote, they scheduled a date, then they didn't show up. I called them mid-afternoon on the day of - "the guy you need to talk to is out of the office today, but we'll pass on the message". Called twice, same answer both times. Sent an email, no response. Finally 10 days later I get a reschedule notice. Responded "absolutely not, you ghosted me". They made up some excuse about the weather. The weather doesn't prevent people from emailing or calling. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

Mr. Wells runs a great company. (1) He provided gutter service for my church building (Friendship FWB Church, Farmville. Our building and grounds committee was very pleased with the price and the quality of work. (2) He installed gutters on my two-story home. The men arrived on time and did an outstanding job. The guttering is clean and exactly what I asked for. One of the men even helped me get rid of a wasp nest that I couldn't reach with my ladder and spray and brought a treat for my dog. The price was appropriate, fair, and actually under my anticipated budget. I have a few other smaller projects regarding the siding and possible roof needs. Mr. Wells will be my primary contact for services. read more

Had an appointment for a repair and an estimate for a new roof. Travis was supposed to arrive between 3-3:30. He never showed. We called the contact number to leave a message at 3:45, only to find the mailbox was full. My wife then got a text stating that there was a personal emergency that held him up, but that he was on his way. As of this writing (5 pm), we are still waiting for him to show up. There have been no further phone calls, and no follow up on status or possibly rescheduling to another day. I understand that personal emergencies happen, but the lack of communication is downright unprofessional and we will not be using them for their services and cannot recommend this company. read more

Travis and his employees are very nice to work with. We needed them last year and this year due to trees limbs falling through the roof after storms. They come quickly, work efficiently and are personable, very knowledgeable and experienced. My husband and I definitely recommend this company and will be using them in the future. Travis was friendly and conscientious, down-to-earth and no nonsense. He was the last contractor who gave us a quote and by the time he came out we had heard some absurdly sophisticated and long-winded pitches so were pleased when he came out, looked at the roof and told us what he was going to do in a few minutes. His quote was the lowest and he worked with our schedule. Once we agreed to a color for the shingles, the roof went up almost immediately, and it looks great. He was more than sufficiently attentive, but I got the sense he doesn't have much of a staff answering and returning calls - this is one of the reasons he can offer lower prices I guess. You also don't pay for fancy marketing or packaging or unnecessary add-ons that you're pressured into considering. read more

It is often unsettling when someone works on your home. However, Travis and his team at Wells Home Improvement quickly put our minds at ease. They were punctual, courteous and professional. They completely replaced my roof in a day. And, the quality of work was unmatched. What was most impressive was the clean-up. Other than the new roof, you would have no idea that anyone was there. All debris, including anything that landed in my neighbors' yards, was removed from the site. I would use Wells Home Improvement for any of my future roofing, guttering or siding needs and highly recommend them to anyone. read more

They put a roof on my house 3 years ago and did a great job. The roof looked awesome! I even recommended them to a neighbor. The roof started leaking, however. I was selling the house and a week away from settlement and my realtor had his roofer fix it immediately so that I could go to settlement without incident. It was an issue with the flashing. I had to get the flashing fixed, as well as have the drywall repaired/painted (several hundred dollars$ of work). I contacted Wells about the issue several times, but never heard back :-( read more
