This was my first time getting a gown hemmed so I went in without expectations. It was too long so I needed the bottom hemmed but wanted to keep some of the train, and it needed to be taken in on the sides as well as another loose fabric piece needed to be sewn down. I called in advance in case I needed an appointment and they answered right away and assured me I could come in at the time I requested. I arrived and there was one other customer she was finishing up with but I barely had to wait at all. Donna was extremely friendly and listened to all of my concerns about the fit of the dress and made suggestions for the hemming. She pinned it all up and I was out of there pretty quickly. She asked when I needed the dress by and assured it would be ready a few days in advance and gave me a ticket with the quoted price on it. I didn't receive a call when it was ready but I was never told I would, but just something that would be nice. I'm sure it would have been ready by the day I was told but I ended up picking it up a few days later. I wasn't able to make it by during the store's regular business hours but I called and thankfully Donna was still there after closing. The dress came out perfect and I was really happy with the service. I would recommend Donna's Tailor Shop to anyone else needing a formal gown hemmed.

Based on their schedule and items I think they can work with you based on what they're showing and they seem to have a constant stream of work. When I came back I noticed one of the items was upside down, to no fault as they're not familiar with the emblem, and the seamstress was able to fix it on the spot! They were very helpful and apologetic, which was no issue really, and was nice on every occasion. Their shop is clean, and my daughter noticed that they had Cinderella stickers and the nice all over the floor boards which gave it a nice touch, and they offered my daughter candy! Then when I returned to ask her to redo it she raised her voice at me and told me that" her cousin warned me it would not look good" this doesn't make sense. Why would I agree to something that someone warned me "would not be right?" And why would they suggest that. . I don't understand when people are dishonest. I'm not picky. I just wanted a hymn. This did not have to be so complicated. And treating a customer like that after you know, you did a bad job was not acceptable. I will not end up ever using this place again.

My dress needed the straps to be shorter and my slit was sewed since it was rather high. I also added sleeves to my dress and she did an amazing job! With the extra fabric, she offered to make two pocked squares as well. My sister and I had a very small window in which we needed alterations for her bridesmaid suit and my dress. They got them BOTH done so fast and the work was incredible. Aside from the work, they have great customer service which seems to be hard to come by these days. Highly recommend this place! I had gained some weight around my waist. Andy used his material, to expand the waistlines. I have never seen anything done so well. Every alteration was to perfection. I had a strong feeling that this was most likely not possible as most tailors are normally booked for weeks in advance and of course need time to make said adjustments! Nevertheless, I stopped by Elegant Tailor and Cleaners in pure desperation, really hoping that somehow it would be possible and boy did I get lucky! Tracy was able to do a complete turn around and have my dress ready in 2 days. Unbelievable. On top of that, she made it 10x more flattering than I could have possibly imagined! This was a very cheap Amazon dress that did not do me any favors but by the time that Tracy was done with it, you would have no idea.
