Then, we never had a bad cut. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is excellent. The prices for kids' cuts are very attractive. I paid way more at a different location so I stopped going there and decided that driving for extra 20 minutes would be worth it. Sometimes I get lazy and go to the old place and ALWAYS think afterwards, why, oh why I did not drive to the Market Mall? The kids are treated with respect and they love the place. I LOVED them. I left the salon feeling so beautiful, walked around the corner to head home, and a man literally got out of a van, started chatting with me, asked for my number... AND NOW WE HAVE A DATE NEXT WEEK?! Mind you, I was wearing sweatpants and a giant hoodie. No fancy outfit, no getting dolled up... just me and my new bangs apparently out here attracting men. Sarah, thank you for making me feel so beautiful and for accidentally giving me a whole new life experience I've never had before. You switched up my bangs, sent me off feeling myself, and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! I absolutely adore my girl Tivona, but Sarah, you're officially my girl too! I specifically asked for blonde highlights, but left with hair that was significantly darker. I am now a brunette. The service took hours, with some highlights sitting on my hair for an excessive amount of time, and I was left with uneven colour and green tones. When I called to discuss my concerns, I was told my hair was already compromised and that the stylist had done her best. The blame was entirely on me. Rather than offering a reasonable solution, I was reminded that I had signed a waiver and informed that any correction with a senior stylist would be at my own expense. I found the response dismissive, rude, and completely lacking in accountability. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. Mistakes can happen, but the way my concerns were handled afterward was far more disappointing than the colour result itself. After spending nearly $300, I expected the salon to stand behind its work and offer to correct the issue at no charge. Instead, I was told I would have to pay again. The complete lack of accountability and concern for customer satisfaction was pretty disappointing.

For the first time in my life, I had found someone who understood curly hair, how to cut it and shape it for my face and who left me feeling like a million bucks. I have also found that because of the expertise and the continual learning that the stylists embark on, it has ended up saving me money as I do not have to cut my hair as frequently. In general Calgary is lack of good Asian hair stylists compare to Vancouver, so I was happy that Raymond handled my hair fairly well. However, I started to get fed up with this place because even if you made an appointment, you still have to wait at least half hour for the hair stylist to come to you, then half way, he will be going to another person, and then you have to wait for him to come back to finish the job. In average, it takes me 2 hours to complete a simple hair cut from the time I walked in on time for my appointment. This has never happened in any other places I've been to. Also, although Raymond is a good hairstylist, when it's really busy, he got distracted, stressed and so he didn't do as a good job as he could. My last hair cut was horrible, I spent 2 and half hours there just got a few hair trimmed. I could have done that myself at home! Anyways, I am going to try some other places. It's just not worth the wait unless you really have tons of time.
