After about a year the colorist left and Trina began to both colour and cut and style my hair. For the first time in my life, I had found someone who understood curly hair, how to cut it and shape it for my face and who left me feeling like a million bucks. I have also found that because of the expertise and the continual learning that the stylists embark on, it has ended up saving me money as I do not have to cut my hair as frequently. I have not had a single bad hair cut. Not one! The new trainees take care of you and as another reviewer said, the head massages are divine. The front end staff (Especially Andrew!) are skilled and just the right amount of friendly. If you are looking for new home for all things wonderful for your hair, call them up, tell them what you are looking for, and book a consult with one of the amazing stylists. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

WHO KNEW A LITTLE BANG SWITCH-UP COULD CHANGE MY DATING LIFE?!…read more Tivona was on holidays this weekend (lucky her!), so I booked a blowout with Sarah instead, and we tried something a little different with my bangs. I LOVED them. I left the salon feeling so beautiful, walked around the corner to head home, and a man literally got out of a van, started chatting with me, asked for my number... AND NOW WE HAVE A DATE NEXT WEEK?! Mind you, I was wearing sweatpants and a giant hoodie. No fancy outfit, no getting dolled up... just me and my new bangs apparently out here attracting men. Sarah, thank you for making me feel so beautiful and for accidentally giving me a whole new life experience I've never had before. You switched up my bangs, sent me off feeling myself, and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! I absolutely adore my girl Tivona, but Sarah, you're officially my girl too! I feel so lucky to have TWO amazing stylists helping me reach my hair goals. Moral of the story: never underestimate the power of a good blowout, a little bang switch-up, and feeling yourself on the walk home.

I appreciate that they remember my dogs name (noodles) even after bringing him in once! He's like my child so that added attention means a lot to me and makes me feel welcomed. They added a new service where you fill out a page that asks whether you feel like chatting with your stylist or whether you want to take the time to zone out. Also which additional treatment you'd like to include in your visit (you get to choose from some relaxing options like a hand massage, scalp massage, etc.). It feels like you're in a luxurious spa! My stylist is Annah who is an absolute doll and one of the best stylist I've ever had, hands down! She's incredibly talented and one of the senior stylist in the salon (so well deserved)! During every appointment, she'll sit down with you and do a little diagnostic of your hair -- asking if you'd like to change the look, keep the same style, add a little pizzaz, etc. I'm the kind of person that can't put to words the look I'm aiming for by Annah knows EXACTLY what I want, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I told her the other day I wanted to look sexy, Victoria Secretish, long layers by with a little bit of spice and she did just that! She's so knowledgeable in letting you know what hair style will work best with the shape of your face and lifestyle. Annah is warm, friendly, and really cares about making you feel comfortable. Her passion for hair shows through like a bright sparkly star in the sky which is a privilege to experience. She's always actively learning different techniques as a stylist and color expert which is one of the many reasons why I trust her in anything she recommends. She's also an AMAZING teacher and will answer any of your hair questions during your appointment like how to curl your hair using a flat iron. Once I asked her "how can I style my hair without using heat?" and BOOM she taught me a trick on how to curl my hair without curlers that rocked my world! WOOT!!! She's awesome! If you're looking for your new home to make your hair look fabulous, hands down this is the place to be! 5 star service, 5 star cuts/color, 5 start hair stylist. In general Calgary is lack of good Asian hair stylists compare to Vancouver, so I was happy that Raymond handled my hair fairly well. However, I started to get fed up with this place because even if you made an appointment, you still have to wait at least half hour for the hair stylist to come to you, then half way, he will be going to another person, and then you have to wait for him to come back to finish the job. In average, it takes me 2 hours to complete a simple hair cut from the time I walked in on time for my appointment. This has never happened in any other places I've been to. Also, although Raymond is a good hairstylist, when it's really busy, he got distracted, stressed and so he didn't do as a good job as he could. My last hair cut was horrible, I spent 2 and half hours there just got a few hair trimmed. I could have done that myself at home! Anyways, I am going to try some other places. It's just not worth the wait unless you really have tons of time.
