From the time I announced that I was moving to Bridgewater, everyone has asked if I've been here yet. Thanks to a friend, that has been remedied! The food was great, service was SUPER fast and friendly even though we walked in about half an hour to closing (one thing I still need to get used...we're not in the city anymore). The three of use ordered 2 apps and 2 meals AND we had leftovers! The veggie rolls are some of the best I've had, and the edamame was perfect. For our meals, we ordered low-carb Pad Thai & Jungle Peak Noodles. Now, keep in mind that I LOVE pad Thai, and was very spoiled by the Thai restaurant near my in Quincy. The low-carb version is made with glass noodles, which gives it a slightly lighter texture. I think they used less sauce because it definitely wasn't as sweet as I'mused to; but I was warned ahead of time in the menu, so I can't complain. I definitely consider it Pad Thai and not some skinny person's cheap imitation. The Jungle peak was great--a light sauce that thoroughly coated the noodles and provided spice rather than heat. Not your average Chinese food restaurant, because they don't just serve Chinese food. It's a mix of all of Asia, such as China, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam. This isn't an "American Chinese food" menu based restaurant. Most of what's served feels pretty authentic, but of course it's made for a restaurant palate. Best Asian food place in the town of Bridgewater!!! Better than crystals Kitchen. I moved to Bridgewater from Virginia but I was born and half raised in Brooklyn NY, so I'm used to eating fried rice it's honestly my favorite thing to eat from Asian restaurants! I thought I loved crystals kitchen but their fried rice is so bland and boring compared to a Chatta Box! Also the waitresses are so friendly. I was first nervous to try Chatta Box because a lot of the food on the menu didn't sound appealing (I'm not that experienced in Asian food but i love my fried ric, weird right?!) but when I went into the restaurant that all changed! The food is amazing!!!!!! I loved the pineapple fried rice, I got vegetarian but next time I'm going to get shrimp on it, sooo goood and I loved the crab Rangoon's too. This place is THE BEST. We go at least once a month for our fix. We moved to Bridgewater a year ago and of course I had to research local restaurants using Yelp. Since the Chatta Box got consistently got high ratings I knew we had to try it. It has never disappointed us. I'm a creature of habit so I get the Singapore Noodles every time I go...Sometimes we'll start with the shrimp torpedos as an appetizer (I don't really care for fried appetizers but my boyfriend loves them so I go along with him), and sometimes if I'm really hungry I'll get a miso soup. I kind of feel like they over-do it with the tofu in the miso soup, but that's no biggie- I can just leave the extra in the bowl. The servers are all really nice and attentive. My boyfriend's car got hit in the parking lot (some Chatta Box patrons leaving the restaurant witnessed it and called the cops to report it) and the employees were very helpful in quietly going up to each table and asking for him by name (the cop ran his plates to get his name), and generally being empathetic in a crummy situation. The space itself is very small so the tables are kind of on top of each other, which is totally fine if all you're going for is to enjoy the delicious food. But don't expect to have a quiet romantic dinner conversation unless it's later on in the evening. I like to look around and check out what everyone else is getting, which drives my boyfriend nuts! But I just like to get an idea of what everything else looks like. In case I ever decide to order something other than Singapore Noodles... The portions are huge- I usually eat as much as I can and then package the rest, which means lunch for the next 3 days! read more

A decent place. I've been here well over 50 times in the last few years and never disappointed. My only tip is to order coconut rice in place of white rice. Because it is delicious. I've ordered at least 50% of the menu but my favorite meals are as follows: 1. on a normal day I like the cashew beef add mushrooms with coconut rice 2. On a fat ass day the honey glazed sesame chicken 3. On a health conscious day it's the veggie tofu chow mein. I don't like tofu but that plate is delicious. 4. Take out is spicy tuna roll and coconut rice. Not very carb conscious...whatevs! I don't order alcohol here bc i just don't find it necessary. I'm a big fan of this place. Nothing but excellent dishes each time that I come here. I wou recommend the coconut shrimp appetizer and pad thai. That being said, I have had about half a dozen different dishes and all of them are quite good. Easy to get to and ample parking. I love this place!! I used to come here all the time when I lived relatively close. For once I have nothing negative to say about an establishment which doesn't happen often. The staff has always been great. They're very kind and have always taken good care of us. The service is usually super fast, even when it's busy in there. Best service I've had anywhere my entire life, hands down. There are very few things on the menu that I haven't tried or didn't like. My favorites being the jungle peak noodles, the sesame chicken, crab rangoons and the Chatta Box fried rice just to name a few. The Thai iced teas are so delicious that no trip is complete without one. The menu is filled with tons of delicious options and sometimes it's really difficult to decide what to order, but you'll never be disappointed! A true gem for asian food in the South Shore area. The menu is enormous and inspired. I've brought family, friends, dates, and business meetings here. I recommend the Honey Glazed Sesame Chicken, the Rainbow Paradise, the Hokkien Mee, and the Crazy Crispy Pad Thai. The place is small and can get noisy when crowded, but the great food and unfailingly friendly staff make it worth it. Also, their take out prep speed is off the charts! 99% of the time my order is ready before I arrive. I love The Chatta Box!!! I've been there three or four times and each time has been great. I went again last week with three other friends and we were all completely blown away by how good EVERYTHING was! We ordered the Seaweed Salad and Vietnamese Spring Rolls to split among the four of us. They were delish. The spring rolls were fresh and cool - perfect for a warm summer evening. I split two entrees with one of my friends. We ordered the Tofu Vegetable Chow Mein made with low-carb spinach noodles and thought the sauce made the dish. We also got the Pad See You with chicken. This was exactly what I wanted. The portions were huge and we had lots to take home with us. We ordered two desserts to share: the fried banana and the ice cream. The ginger ice cream was a close second to the sweet, warm pillows of fried banana. The ambiance is great, the place is small, and the drinks are yum. The only downside is the bathroom. It's down this weird hallway and is very outdated and kind of dirty with a brand new sink that does not fit. No biggie, though. My husband and I are going back tonight and I can't wait! read more

If you're looking for some place to have great food, this is where you need to go. Typically I will order in advance because the dining area is too small for the amount of people who come in. My favorite dishes are the Pad Thai and Sesame Chicken. Both are seasoned very well and quite delicious. Always get the fried pork dumplings for an app. read more

Local resident in Bridgewater, so we've ordered here several times. Good Asian cuisine is hard to get in this area compared to inside the 128 belt. But we heard good things about chattabox. Each time we noticed something unusual-- shorted portions or less than stated. Tonite we ordered $70 of food. After getting it home, my wife who is a chef, remarks that my Singapore Noodles seems to have only chicken noodle and onion in it. No shrimp, bean sprouts or egg. We start to check-- my daughter's meal, same thing. One of the appetizers we got chicken wings and Korean spare ribs had 4 wings and 3 small ribs in it ($9), but whatever. I decide to finally call and let them know. Manager asked me to bring the food back. NP as I live 2 minutes away and the beef with noodles and Singapore noodle dishes are only 1/3 eaten. Counter person says chicken OR shrimp. But I tell her the menu says "rice noodle, chicken, shrimp, egg, onion, bean sprout... " She says I have to "special order" the shrimp! Anyway, seconds later, Angry Chef comes to the counter to dissect my meal. He points out that there is egg (waving a finger at the dish) bean sprout (but no shrimp). He points to one bean sprout finally. I cant see the egg, but I've eaten Chinese for years and you know when they put egg in the dish and when they BS- and get caught not putting egg in the dish. This was BS. No egg, just a waving finger. One bean sprout. Seriously. Angry Chef is behaving kinda like an asshole with no customer skills, breaking it down for me. I tried to be polite, but Chatta Box sends the chef out to argue with me... so after about 30 seconds I decided to give it back to Angry Chef. BTW, this whole thing went on at the counter in front of all the diners. Angry Chef called me out a few times on my complaint and I made my case nonetheless. No shrimp. no egg, no bean sprouts. Don't charge top dollar for a menu item and skimp on the most expensive ingredients. Also, don't handle customer complaints as if the customer were the problem!! Finally, Angry Chef throws a fork in my Singapore Noodles and tells me he will remake them how I like. I tell him that the two meals I'm returning are about $20, but because of his attitude, he's lost a paying customer forever and earned bad reviews. My feeling is, if you're going to chef, be a good chef and don't run a restaurant where your idea of customer service is an argument at the front counter. I don't mind a good argument, but this was a legit and easy problem. Comp the customer, remake, etc... But don't be an asshole and tell the customer he's wrong because you found one bean sprout. Low class. Finally I walk out and leave the food there. Angry Chef is so pissed he's shaking. Really low class. Check what you order against the menu. Great eats if you're a Seagull and just looking to get full. read more

CONS: I've done take-out about 8 times, and they've gotten the order right less than half the time, even after careful explanation. When it was correct, the preparation was inconsistent in quality. The people at the register w/o exception have been frenzied and rude, and I felt like an imposition when asking a question. Fantastic little place and nearby too! Their food is always excellent, and their prices are reasonable considering there aren't a huge amount of Thai/Malaysian restaurants near Bridgewater/Easton/Raynham that I know of. Menu is large and varied enough to fit picky or adventurous palettes and the staff is helpful with any questions about dishes you may have. They even offer some Japanese dishes, although they're pretty average compared to a true Japanese restaurant, but a good alternative if you're looking for something that isn't as spicy or intense as Thai food. The only real drawback is the fact it is a fairly small place, consisting more of a cafe atmosphere than a true restaurant, and on busy nights (especially on weekends), if you're planning on sitting down and eating in the restaurant, you better be willing to stand in line to be seated for about 20 minutes, otherwise I suggest getting to-go, which is just as good, in my opinion. read more

After favorable reviews from a friend we all decided to try this place. I went with the Basil Fried Rice, which is my go to dish at thai restaurants. Usually its a very spicy dish that I have to ask a few places to tone it down, this place not so much. I would have asked to spice it up had I known. The pineapple fried rice was my first time trying it and while it was OK, I kind of expected more pineapple taste. There were bits here and there, but nothing to write home about. Just tasted like yellow rice in every bite. Honey sesame chicken, is my go to dish at Chinese restaurants. This place has the best I've ever had. It was crispy while having a good deal of sauce on each piece and it was as advertised, white meat, none of that mystery meat that you find at most Chinese places. Crabmeat dumplings steamed were OK, the sesame ginger dipping sauce with it was great. Chicken Satay was good, the peanut sauce was delicious. As far as value goes its up there with the more expensive Thai restaurants I've been to if not the most expensive. I'd go back if I was in the area again, I'd just ask to add more spice. read more

Consistently awesome! We've been 3 times now (once we ate in, and twice for take out). All 3 times were very consistently and very good. The food tastes so fresh and the veggies are cooked to perfection. I love the beef or chicken spicy mongolian stir fry - its loaded with beef or chicken, in a slightly spicy sauce with lots of tender veggies. So good! My wife and daughter always get the honey chicken with broccoli - the favor has been consistent each time and is a little sweet and very good. This place is well worth the drive. read more
