Decided to give this place a try and it did not disappoint. I love that they have the option of birria tacos AND the option of other meats to choose from. They were super nice and friendly and helped us go over the menu. The service was super quick and we didn't even get to finish our beers before the food was done. There were plenty of people inside eating and I love there chairs. For someone with a bigger behind, they have very comfy chairs that I fit in. Lol they play country music and I love the open kitchen concept so you can see every step of your food being made. read more

Stopped here randomly on a taco Tuesday night. Interior was clean and welcoming. They have a sauce bar that was clean and a lot of different sauces. I got the al pastor tacos to try, they had a special buy 2 get one free that day. Food came out pretty quick. It was really flavorful and juicy, I recommend trying it. read more

Being from cali i know about tacos and these remind me of being in L.A. streets getting tacos from the food trucks. Meat is tender and cooked perfectly! The flavor is so tasty it will have you licking your lips after.... the tortillas are freshly hand made which is super authentic!!! The tortillas are so soft and flavorful. The el pastor meat is super good like no other. the salsa bar is fully stocked with green salsa,red salsa, orange salsa, cucumbers,radish and pickled jalapeños with potatoes; those were super delish! The inside has laid back vibes which is relaxing. The service was great Claudia our cashier was friendly and super sweet. The prices are fair and they dont have rip off prices like most tacos spots. they serve a generous amount of meat too so its worth the $ !!!!! Came here for taco tuesday, tried their al pastor burrito, carne asada tacos and al pastor tacos. Their asada was a little on the salty side which was okay. The al pastor was better even though its also on the saltier side yhe pineapple balances the flavors. The corona chairs and tables are a cute touch. read more

Finally stopped in. Had a craving for carne asada nachos. Grabbed a buche and al pastor tacos for the mister. I loved the decor and would like to return and eat there. Big TVs and I got to catch the end of the Dodger game. Friendly staff took my order and directed me to the salsa bar. They give you a set amount of containers for salsa. Pros of nachos fresh toppings. The guacamole was for sure delicious. However there was a lack of meat! For the price I expected more. We were excited to try this place due to a Instagram post from Cartel Foods. Upon walk in we went up to the counter and were looking at the menu, never once were greeted by the person at the counter but were were rather stared at while we were trying to figure out what we wanted to try from the post. So the person at the counter is not friendly or helpful at all and seemed annoyed just to answer questions and was short and just rude! But we proceeded to order anyways. We ordered the loco potato which my daughter wanted and a tiny wet burrito that my hubby just ordered because we could not figure out what the giant burrito in the Instagram post was and again, the front desk person did not like answering questions. We paid $50.00 for one potato and one small wet burrito and 3 sodas. I'm sorry but we won't be back. It definitely was not all friendly and good like the Instagram post. read more

I was here a few weeks back. Had some time to kill, so decided to give this place a try. First impression when I walked in: nice aesthetic, clean and not crowded. I ordered the gringo burrito. Everything seemed to be going ok, until asked to have sour cream and rice added to the inside of the burrito. The young lady who helped me seemed unsure of what to do. I guess they didn't have sour cream or rice as a side option for inside the burrito. She stepped away to go ask someone how much she should charge me. She came back and let me know the charge for the sour cream. I told her that was fine. However, there was no mention of the charge for the rice, so I mentioned again that I wanted rice inside the burrito. She stepped away to ask the same person (cook). I guess they didn't know how much to charge because she came back and picked up the phone to make a call. No one answered, so she used her cell phone to text someone. She then tells me that she's trying to figure out how much to charge. At that moment, a couple more people walk in and are in line waiting to order. She tells me she hasn't gotten an answer from the person she's trying to reach on the phone and walks away again and disappears into the back. In the meantime, another person comes in. I felt bad because it's been at least 5 mins at this point just trying to figure out how much to charge me and I can tell the people behind me are ready to order. Finally, a couple minutes later she comes back and tells me that it's a 60 cents charge. Yep, took about 8 minutes to order a burrito. The burrito was ok. The presentation was really nice, but for me, the flavor was lacking. The sauce had a heavy tomato base. Maybe that's what they are going for. The inside of the burrito was mostly rice and beans. There was less meat than I was expecting and it lacked seasoning as well. I really don't think I would have liked this burrito without the addition of the rice and sour cream. I will give this restaurant another chance and try something different from the menu. read more

A nice family run Mexican place. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I had the quesadilla with birria. The birria was tender beef with good flavor. Came with pico and sour cream on the side. The wife had the papa loca with al pastor. Even though she hates cilantro, she avoided the guac and salsa (but get the onions). There are small amounts of Cilantro but she wasn't bothered by it. I guess I owe Chatos a review. I've been looking for a great Mexican restaurant in the area since mid-2024. There are plenty of "good enough" Mexican places here, but greatness is elusive. Chatos is great. So far, I've only had tacos but they have been consistently tasty and filling. You can see from the photos that they care about what they are doing. The photos are from two different visits, so you can see the consistency and that the tacos are packed. Two tacos with chips and pico de gallo were plenty. I didn't think the chips were special, though. The salsa bar has great choices and free sides of spicy carrots and cucumbers. For the gringos, you grab a baggie to put that stuff in. I was so excited about finding this place, I texted my sister in LA. She looked at the menu and said, "They have elote! You know that's the real deal!" So there it is. read more

Stopped after an appointment at the nearby medical building. Great atmosphere when you first walk in. Cashier greeted me & asked what I wanted to order. I replied I was not sure as it was my first time there. She rattled off a few items & then meats. I decided on the Papa Loco to go with the recommended Al Pastor. I'm very happy with my choice. First time here I tried a couple items off their menu to share see pictures. The wet gringo burrito was great with a great sauce and you chose the protein you like and I also had the carne asada tacos with the flat corn tortillas.
