Been coming here for years because they have the BEST chocolate! Yes, the actual chocolate that enrobes all the goodies like peanut butter cups, turtles, truffles etc! It's so smooth and good, not grainy like some of the cheap chocolate places. They're doing it right! They have a great selection of milk and dark chocolates, as well as various varieties of yummy fudge, and lots of other non-chocolates like gummy bears, jelly beans, old school candies and more. You'll be like a kid in a candy store....wink, wink:-) Visited during Covid and was VERY pleased to see the Covid protocols in place, masks, gloves, the whole nine yards. Only wish they had a taller plexiglass screen in front of the fudge. I passed on it because I don't like the idea of customers breathing their droplets out over the fudge that I'm going to consume. Thanks, but no thanks. And truthfully, a tall barrier should actually be there even in non-Covid times. But aside from that small transgression, this is the place to go for all my - and probably your - candy needs. read more

When it comes to fudge, I could take it or leave it. But the fudge at Chatham Candy Manor is so good, I'm already plotting my next trip to Chatham! Try the inside-out Reese's (peanut butter fudge with a chocolate swirl) or one of the "chocolate fantasy" flavors. It's so affordable too--at $14 a pound, a 1/4 pound slab is only going to run you $3-4. A half pound would be plenty to share! The staff at the fudge counter are super friendly and helpful. This store will make you feel like a kid again, with a variety of hand-dipped truffles, gummi candy in fun shapes, and other whimsical treats. If you're not pretending that you're purchasing a ridiculous amount of candy as a "gift," they also sell bags of cast-off / imperfect chocolates for $12. read more

A Chatham staple, giving the tourist and locals a place to satiate their sweet teeth. They offer over priced packaged candies, but really shine in their hand crafted chocolates and especially their fudge. Always good to stop in and get a few 1/4 lbs of fudge to share, horde or gift. read more

Chatham Candy Manor - Wall of fudge - Candy Stores Near Me - Chatham, Massachusetts

A candy wonderland in the heart of Chatham. Lots and lots of chocolate in the glass cases as well as all kinds of other candy in the store. My sons chose to fill bags with bulk candy which is sold by the pound. They also have many bags of prepackaged candy just perfect for gift giving. Are they pricey? Heck, yes! This is Chatham, Cape Cod after all. But there's something about being in a resort town that allows money to leave the wallet a little easier. My favorite find was " seconds" bags near the exit door. Bags filled with a random mix of slightly imperfect candy at a better price. I bought one which we happily consumed on the ride home. All in all I would definitely go back here when in Chatham. read more

Since I was a very little girl I have always looked forward to my special visit to the candy store. The smells of the fresh fudge the beautiful colors of the candies makes wonderful memories that last a lifetime. read more

Its like walking back in time....a true old fashioned candy store.....we went in around 7 pm and it was crowded, but you could still move around....and everyone is very friendly (wouldn't you be if you worked in a candy shop!) The kids love the candy and the wife LOVES the FUDGE....it may be her favorite part about Chatham!! read more

Had extremely friendly service at this charming old-school American chocolate shop. You will not find anything fancy here, but the tried and true classics, like fudge, chocolate pretzels, creams, peanut butter cups, pre-packaged gifts boxes, and bags of gummies, malt balls, etc. If you're looking for a sweet treat while on visiting the Cape, or something for the ride home, this is it. read more

Chatham Candy Manor - Outside - Candy Stores Near Me - Chatham, Massachusetts

During covid 19-crisis, they are open for pick up/curbside and shipping out certain days of the week/check the website. Background: One of my "aunts," aka one of my mum's closet/oldest friends, loves them and I started ordering gifts for her. They have a wonderful ginger and dark chocolate. They have recently in the last couple of years changed owners, but the quality remains excellent as well as customer service. I recently sent a "chocolate clam bake" chocolate mini lobsters, et al., to a family friend post surgery get well, and my aunt chocolate seashells just the other day and online--I messed up and emailed mail order customer service and they confirmed they would add my aunt's birthday greeting to the package. read more

It's amazing that the place which I love to visit to buy treats and also partake in samples has remained the same during COVID. Instead of offering a sample of fudge from a candy dish (pre-COVID), they offered a individually wrapped fudge sample in a bag. In a world where offering samples has disappeared because of the virus, this was more than a refreshing welcome for an otherwise stellar candy store. read more

This is a really cool candy store on Main Street. They make their own candy on site and have quite a large selection. The only downside to my visit is that I wanted to purchase some items from the case but no one came to assist me so I decided to buy a 2 lb. assortment instead. read more

AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO! AN OLD SCHOOL CANDY STORE THAT MAKES THEIR OWN DELICIOUS CHOCOLATES & FUDGE ON THE PREMISES. The Candy Manor has been making FANTASTIC Candy for over 60 Years. This is a staple on Old Cape Cod. The Fudge is made right in the front of the store you can see it being made from the window. The chocolates are made in the back. They have people's favorite chocolate flavors as well as regional chocolates that are indicative of New England including Cranberry. They also have Salt Water Taffy, Fruit Slices, Jelly Beans, Gummies & Old School Candy as well. You can buy a piece or a box of your choice. People stop into this quaint old school candy store for a little treat as they stroll the shops along the boulevard of beautiful Chatham. DELICIOUS!!! It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget! read more

I cannot emphasize enough how much I LOVE this place. They've got delicious, homemade chocolates, candies, and fudge. The folks who work there are friendly and warm every time I walk in. They have a stellar storefront in downtown Chatham. They're open late for a post-Squire dessert pitstop. This place is great. My go-tos are the sea salt caramel chocolates (handmade, of course), these funky chocolate-covered Cinnamon Toast Crunch chocolates (I think they might be new), and (of course), chocolate-covered Oreos. You may not be surprised to learn that I really enjoy chocolate. They also have really tasty fudge (it's rich, so you'll be very happy even with a modest quantity). Definitely worth a stop next time you're in Chatham! read more

Can I just say how lovely the owners are??? We had ordered a gift to be sent to someone who was home recovering from surgery. Due to the US Postal service, it didn't arrive; so the owner went out of her way to drive it over and drop it off yesterday. Let me repeat that: she DROVE. IT. OVER. HERSELF. That's customer service, not to mention kindness. Oh, and the fudge is superb (but you all knew that already). Can't recommend them enough. read more

I had broken my leg and was pretty down when this box of chocolate from Chatham arrived from my friend. I though oh how nice. But then I tasted a piece of candy from the package. OMG. it was the best!!! lucky she sent me plenty because my husband ate one whole package before I could get another piece. He loves chocolate and claims this is the best ever, I agree and what a great gift to lift ones spirits. Thank You Cindy and Chatham. read more

Really cute shop with a large selection of all sorts of candy! Would totally recommend making the trip. Located on a very adorable street with a lot of cute shops. Perfect for our girls day! read more

The Candy Manor has an amazing variety of sweets and the quality exceeds all expectations! Chicken feet, homemade fudge, and chocolate covered caramel are my favorites, but you can't go wrong with anything in the store. The resealable bags keep everything fresh if you need to save candy for later. The lay out of the store makes it easy to navigate with everything clearly labeled and the staff are very helpful if you have any questions. The only negative is that I don't live closer but now I'm able to order products online! I am very pleased with the mail ordering system; our package arrived with an ice pack so the chocolates weren't melted on a hot summer day. I really can't say enough positives about this store, a must visit in downtown Chatham! read more

The fudge here is fudging fabulous. The whole store is a little kids dream filled with candy and chocolate of all sorts. I love their sour cherry lobster gummies. Chatham Candy Manor - Sour cherry lobster gummies - Candy Stores Near Me - Chatham, Massachusetts

This place is amazing and even before you cross the heavenly threshold to see the displays, the smell puts you into a comatose state. I have been going here since I was a little kid. This place opened in the 1950's on the main strip in Chatham. There's even a cute store about how the single mother bought the store and her and her children slept in the back room of the store until they could afford to get a place of their own. It isn't super expensive, which they could be because of their location, their name, and the crazy success that they continue to have. It is always packed, and I am NOT afraid to shove some kids out of the way to get at some free samples that they always put out. I have NEVER LIKED FUDGE at any other place except the Candy Manor. They make everything there in the store and in the front you can actually watch them make the fudge. They have tons of stuff other than the fudge, candies, amazing chocolates, but its pointless to list them all because you won't care about them as much as you'll care about the fudge. I recommend the plain chocolate, peanut butter, oreo, rocky road, and fantasy mint. They have about 12 flavors and they haven't changed much since they've started. Amazing, amazing, please go here and please bring me back some. PS they take orders on the phone and ship all over the country!! read more

Best candy on the Cape. I grew up stopping in this store every time we made a trip down to Chatham on our vacations. I still go to the store every time I step foot in Chatham. I really would rather not calculate how many years I have been stopping in this shop. This is not one of those places that the memories refuse to let you see it really isn't that good. It is that good. Our first choice is always the fudge. Creamy, not dry like it has been sitting there forever. And, yes, the staff is all high school kids in the summer, what do you expect? Relax, you are on vacation, and enjoy the chocolate and the contact high you get in the shop. Prices may be a little higher, but it is better chocolate, and, well, you are in Chatham. read more

Craving some candy while in Chatham? Well, this is the place to satisfy that craving! Located on Main Street in Chatham is a top notch candy store filled with an endless amount of candy (chocolate, fudge, etc)! What more could you want? This is the best fudge on Cape Cod. Before I came to the Cape, I really wasn't that into fudge -- too rich, too sweet, and also kind of hurt my teeth. But I love this place -- they have so many great flavors, and I really enjoy their "fantasy" series, which are less sugary iterations of some of their main flavors. But what really sets them apart is the texture of the fudge, which is so smooth and velvety. And the employees here are very sweet and helpful! read more

We love this candy store. When on vacation in Chatham, we have to stop. The beach stones are awesome. It's better than M&M's. We take bags back to our grandchildren. I enjoy their almond bark. I do order by mail for Christmas. I get all smiles. Worth every penny. read more

Yes, it's a trap. But so is the whole town. Since you knew that crossing the bridge, it's moot. Crazy crowded, but that keeps the stock of fudge and other goodies rotating. From salt taffy to giant dots to gummy bears it's all here. Try the fruit slices, these are not the orange slices you get in the huge tub at CVS. So much better. Why withhold that last star you ask? They cheat on some items. My "chocolate covered peanut butter bar" was merely a butterfinger covered in more chocolate. Perhaps this was destined to be so, as it was next to chocolate covered pretzels, Oreos, etc. Stick with the left most cases and you'll likely get the "we made this 100% here" item you are expecting. read more

A Cape Cod staple. A high quality, old school candy shop that has a mix of homemade fudge, chocolates, and candies that you don't often find at your local convenience store. If you are in downtown Chatham this is a must visit shop. Prices are also very reasonable. read more

Chatham Candy Manor - Candy Stores Near Me - Chatham, Massachusetts

The cool thing about the Candy Manor is that they make a lot of their own Candy and the store is way old school with the hook for making candy canes (they give demonstrations in the winter 'round Christmas time). And frankly, it kinda smells like heaven when you walk in. It's Chatham so it can be on the pricey side, esp is you're looking for chocolate dipped fruits (the pineapple is AMAZING!) but well worth it...except for the fudge as I was never a huge fan and think that Chatham Penny Candy's is way better (it's softer, more creamy, and less expensive). Opps, did I step on people's toes? All in all though, the best chocolate store on the Lower Cape. read more

Chatham Candy Manor is located in quaint but bustling downtown Chatham and when you walk through the door the first thing that hits you is the delicious smell of homemade chocolate. The interior is charming and cozy (often a little too cozy in the height of summer when you're crammed shoulder-to-shoulder with other patrons). They sell a lot of Cape/beached themed candy - chocolate lighthouses and seashells, gummy sharks - and of course salt water taffy. They also have a great assortment of different types of chocolate treats. Our favorites include the snowballs (chocolate and caramel rolled in coconut), English toffee, chocolate covered caramels, and chocolate covered coffee beans. They also sell these s'more bars that are awesome! Along the back wall they sell truffles and chocolate covered strawberries that are to die for. They have a good selection of sugar free and nut free chocolates for those with allergy or dietary restrictions. And I would be crazy not to mention the fudge. As a little girl, my grandmother made homemade panuche and chocolate fudge that has really never been topped by anyone or any store. Chatham Candy Manor comes the closest. They always have great flavors. On our last visit we stocked up on panuche, inside out peanut butter cup, and almond joy. OMG. Last summer we purchased a fudge that included cranberry and chilli peppers - unusual combo that was actually awesome. Last summer Chatham Candy Manor supplied the party favors for my wedding party. Their prices were actually quite reasonable. They made little boxes of chocolate shells with candy rocks and dressed them up in cute little boxes. They even threw in a box of complimentary box of chocolate covered strawberries. I love this place. read more

Really cool chocolate shop. Fun place to shop, or just browse. The fudge seems fresher this time of year. I guess it must finally be fudge season on Cape Cod. Yay. read more

Ok, so it smells great in there and it is really cool to watch them manipulate the fudge and what not...but 8 dollars a pound for chocolate wrapped up in foil?! Or for gummy worms? No thanks...I can buy candy that expensive and more on Newbury Street. I would possibly spend money on the fudge and maybe some of the chocolates, but only if it was a special occasion and I would never take my niece and nephews in here. We'll go down the street to the other candy store and load up on stuff there. read more

This candy shop is so cute! It was my first time visiting and everything is well organized and the staff is so helpful. I love white chocolate so I had to get as much as possible. I got the white chocolate with pecan bark, white chocolate pretzels and these whites chocolate and almond bites. They were all delicious! I seen they had a good assortment of fudge as well. I was sad they didn't have any white chocolate fudge but I did sample a peanut butter fudge and it was great. Everything is reasonably priced for the quality of the candy and snacks. I love this place. Perfect to splurge at when you have a sweet tooth or want to get a small gift for someone else. read more

One of my favorite stops in Chatham. Great variety of candy, lots of which is made at the store and a friendly and helpful staff. Love this shop! read more

I'm moving in to the Chatham Candy Manor. I had a major Liz Lemon "I want to go to there" moment when I heard about it, and it lived up to my high expectations. The candy was obviously delicious; the rice krispy turtle and the dark chocolate salted caramel were great, while the peanut butter meltaway tasted like a grown-up Reeses. With so many chocolaty choices and big crowds, it can feel a little overwhelming, but the staff was helpful and patient. Totally recommend coming early - our repeat visit to refill our chocolate supply was around 10 a.m., and it was a much calmer experience. read more

CHARMING SHOP. Although I had not been to this candy shop before I felt a sense of nostalgia as it felt like a candy shop from 40 years ago. Small, welcoming, cozy and wonderful AROMA! DELIGHTFUL young employee helped me eagerly as I tried to understand the various chocolates. She was genuinely eager to help me and I loved her attitude. It enhanced the entire experience. WOW that chocolate!! We tried fudge and ended up buying 2 new flavors because she offered a sample. We bought white bark (almond & pecan), and other chocolates too. Quite delicious - LOVE seeing a small business shine! read more

If I'm going to the Cape, stopping at Chatham Candy Manor is absolutely mandatory. I adore this place. From the high quality of chocolate to super friendly staff, this is a much deserved 5-star chocolate shop. These are my favorites: + Chocolate-covered Pretzels: Try both dark and milk chocolate. Opt for the big boy size pretzels, they are absolutely delicious and divine! I bought a dozen and they disappeared within minutes. + Mini gummy bears: My childhood favorite candy and it's too dang cute when they come in mini-size. Chewy and each color actually tastes different. + Chocolate-covered Strawberries: The chocolate is so smooth and melts in your mouth while the strawberries are sweet and fresh. Perfect combination. + Blueberry white chocolate bark: This was a pleasant surprise! Little did I know these little blueberry gems can blend so well with white chocolate. The blueberries give the white chocolate a fresh and tart kick. + Reeses Peanut Butter Fudge: Do I need to say more?! Must stop by when you are in town! I can't wait to go back. read more
