Fudge was tasty, but no where near the best we had on the Cape, and outrageously expensive (twice as much as other candy stores)...

Hot Chocolate Sparrow - #3 turkey, roasted red pepper, pesto sandwich

This place was very fun! Stopped in for some lunch on a Sunday. Easy parking and inside was busy. I…read morewas a little overwhelmed at first because there is so much chocolate and options that look delicious. I ordered a #3 turkey, roasted red pepper and pesto sandwich with a medium hot chocolate. Both were delicious! I was able to get a seat on the side. Inside is tight but a medium amount of seating. My food came out in about 5-10 minutes. The sandwich was delicious I just wish it was a little bite bigger but okay size for ~$10. The hot chocolate was also delicious but a little pricey ~$6. Overall so yummy and was fun to pick out some chocolate and try some goodies!

This is a hard place to rate. Is it a candy shop? Or is it a coffee shop? Actually it's both. For…read moresure they do an active business in the well stocked candy section and they make some very good chocolates. But most of the customers, myself included, seem to want it to be a coffee shop, a relaxing place to enjoy some coffee, some time with your devices, your book, or in conversation with friends. And there's nothing else nearby that fits the bill, so by defacto this is it. Unfortunately in this area it falls flat. Its interior more resembles a retail store than a cozy place to hang out with its closely spaced tables among merchandise shelves, a commercial feel, and it's been noisy and crowded every time I've been there.. My coffee, a standard small black, was good, and locally roasted, but loses points for being served in a paper cup that I fill for myself at the urn. For specialty drinks you get a number and wait to be called to the pickup window, the several waiting customers contributing to the noise and crowding. For me, a a big part of a coffee shop's overall rating is the quality of their pastries and sweets. Here's where they especially failed for me. They have many such items - an unusually large number actually, mostly slices of various cakes. But none are made in house, nobody could or would tell me who made them, and they were priced at up to and exceeding $12! That's not just high for a coffee shop, that's restaurant prices. At least in a restaurant your slice might be decorated with some fruit drizzle, whipped cream or ice cream and a cherry. But a sad slab of cake, naked on a plate made by who knows, for twelve dollars? No thanks. So instead I went over to the candy side. They have a large selection of chocolates, caramels, truffles, candied fruit slices, fudge, meltaways, all the usual forms, and all made by them. And every one that I have tried has been delicious. Before ordering my coffee I went to the counter, ordered four individual chocolates from the vast selection, and for under $5, sweets in hand, I got my coffee then went outside to the picnic area to relax. But even the outside wasn't so relaxing. It is a crowded, busy parking lot, and the picnic table is next to a Dumpster.

Cibo Italian Kitchen & Market - Prosciutto de Parma Panini.

    Cibo Italian Kitchen & Market

On our way up the Cape for a little lighthouse-hopping adventure, we made a lunchtime stop at Cibo,…read moreand wow--this place is the real Italian deal. The second I walked through the door, I knew we were in for something authentic. The air was filled with the unmistakable smell of fresh sauce, garlic, and quality ingredients. The vibe? Warm, casual, and confidently no-frills in the best way. When my boyfriend's mom asked for mayo and was kindly offered a side of house-made marinara instead, we knew we had struck Italian gold. I ordered the Caprese panini, and while I didn't love the bread at first glance, it surprised me--it was light enough to let the real stars shine: creamy, fresh mozzarella and that incredible homemade pesto. I actually finished the whole sandwich (a rare feat when most leave me full of nothing but bread). My boyfriend (and his parents) devoured their sandwiches without a word, leaving only a few crumbs and a slightly smug expression. We also split an arancini ball for just $5--and it was hefty. Flavorful and golden, though the cheese inside could've used a bit more melt inside. Still worth it, especially at that price. Cibo offers both made-to-order paninis and a full spread of pre-prepared Italian dishes that looked straight out of Nonna's kitchen. Think: lasagna, pastas, cold salads, and a take-and-bake section with house-made pasta and sauces. The gourmet coffee bar smelled like heaven and used fresh ingredients--no plastic creamer pods in sight. Even the dessert case looked like it had stories to tell. Aside from some Cape Cod chips and bottled Coke, everything here felt distinctly and proudly Italian. This is a spot that knows exactly what it is and does it well. 10/10 would detour for this place again.
