This is a must visit. When we travel, we always get a few specific items that commemorates the locate. This shop has all of that stuff and more in the back half of the store. The front half of the store is where the magic happens. On one side they were making flavored popcorn. On the other side, they were making chocolate. They were not limited to just chocolate. They had everything. Many types of gummies. They had Harry Potter candies. We focused on the things they made in house. We ordered some rocky road fudge. It was a large piece and was amazing. We got many of the chocolates which can be purchased individually. Limoncello, two types with caramel, and several others. It was so good, we came back for ice cream and more candy and souvenirs that evening. CRANBERRY BOG is soooo good! So good. They have an Oreo Coffee ice cream which was great. The hot fudge brownie Sunday and Oreo were top notch. Everyone loved it. We had a young woman waiting on us during our first trip. She was very knowledgeable and incredibly personable. She asked if we wanted help figuring out what we wanted to buy based on what we liked. She made perfect recommendations. Highly recommend! read more

It's been yearrrrs since I've been to Kandy Korner... so while on vacation recently with my son I knew I had to visit and see if it was just what I had remembered. It was. :-) And I was so glad to be able to show him a part of my summer's growing up. Kandy Korner has a little bit of something for everyone... + Candy (obviously) -- bulk style (where lollipops are still 10-30cents a piece), bagged and sold per pound (think gummy bears and m&m's) and homemade treats (peanut butter cups, chocolate covered pretzels, fudge*). + Stickers -- not just the classic CC sticker vacationers seek while on the Cape but plenty of other fun vinyl stickers for your waterbottles or laptops and basic stickers for snailmail and scrapbooking stuffs. + Toys & plush animals -- lots and lots of sea creatures (as to be expected in a coastal town) like lobstah's, shaaarks, whales. My son nearly jumped out of his stroller to grab a shark so I took a look at the price -- not terrible -- $15 for a medium size, maybe 14" shark -- pretty much what I'd expect at a souvenir shop. + Tchotchke's -- so. many. tchotchke's. And, again, everything you might expect to find in a souvenir shop: starfish and pirate ship holiday ornaments, sea glass picture frames, woven bracelets w/ seahorse charms, shotglasses, mermaid wall hangings, light house painted coffee mugs. + T-shirts -- for the whole fam! Also saw hats, sunglasses, fun socks. - B/c this is such a favorite spot to visit it has always been crowded... maneuvering w/ a stroller and all those people felt extra tough this past visit. The cash register(s) are also up front by the door -- so it there is a crowd coming in, a crowd ordering ice cream and a crowd in line to buy salt water taffy then it's going to take you a minute to get into the store. Might also take a minute to check out... there seemed to be a bunch of staff working but only one on cash register so the line to check out was long-ish the entire time we were in the store. Despite the crowds and general chaos of the store I still love it and will go back every single time I'm on the Cape. You should too. :-) Note: for moms/dads with a stoller or anyone in a wheelchair -- there's a ramp along the side of the building! Also noticed in addition to the benches in front there are a few tables along the side to sit and enjoy your ice cream. *Fudge has gone up in price the last few years (maybe Covid related, maybe not?) Last week is was $14.95 per pound. read more

Awesome candy store and so much more on main street in Hyannis. They not only have hand made chocolate, but ice cream, freshly made cotton candy, waffles, candy and caramel apples and its a gift store. They have every candy imaginable and gum. Friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. It smells so good in their when they are making the chocolate or cooking the waffles. Fun place. You can watch them bake and dip and make cotton candy right in front on you. Such a cool place. Outdoor seating for ice cream. I almost forgot about the taffy too, homemade. We had a great time popping in here. It's way bigger than it looks from the outside. There's chocolate, fudge, ice cream, and then all kinds of candy goodies. You can fill up a bag, or grab some of the pre filled bags. We were there just in time for shark week, so we absolutely had to get the shark week themed gummies. A Cape Cod family tradition reduced to insulting and shaming customers. On a September 2023 trip a nostalgic trip and walk down memory lane turned sour. I bought some product there and it was stale. I returned moments later, receipt in hand, politely attempting a refund. The clerk apparently didn`t think the refund amount was "worth it" and I should just absorb the cost for the stale product. She refused to refund my credit card. I left slightly shocked as the customer. I re-thought it and returned (receipt in hand) moments later, for the refund, and was again refused till I asked ... Where is the "All sales final" sign posted? She reluctantly processed the return through my cc, all the time bullying and mimicking me about my need to recover such a small refund. She was "REFUND SHAMMING" me and until I left the store, SHE had to continually get in the last word, needle me and laugh at me in front of customers and other staff. That`s the last KANDY KORNER will ever see of me or my charge card after decades of spending there. I was here the other day for second time and was unfortunately treated the same as I was the first time I went in here! I did not post the first time as I figured she might be having a bad day! That is not the case! The older women behind the counter who seems to be in charge is miserable, short with people and for the amount of money your are paying for candy and fudge pays you not much attention as you stand in her front of here. With this being a place i went as I kid I wanted this tradition to continue with my son but I will not be doing this here. Incredible selection! Delicious chocolate! The nonpareils are so good. Very cute store with toys, puzzles and so much candy.

We loved stopping in here. It's fun to walk around. Grab some random overpriced candy. I like the little shop in the back. The middle aged woman working at the register (owner?) did reprimand me for using a small white paper bag for my 17.00 worth of candy. I guess those bags are only for the taffy. It's always a staple for me when I'm at the beach to swing by a candy store. I spent my summers in Maine and Delaware always getting salt water taffy from the local candy spots. We stopped at Kandy Korner, and they didn't have scoops for the bulk gummy candy, so it required putting a disposable glove on. It makes me wonder how many people actually use the gloves instead of just their bare hands. I also grabbed a box of mixed taffy. Upon opening the box, a majority of the taffy was peppermint. It's not chewy like taffy usually is, it's soft and stale. I'm disappointed in the quality. read more

I was visiting Cape Cod with my Meetup group and the tour guide told us about Kandy Korner. They were nice enough to let our tour bus park in their lot and they gave us a ¼ pound of salt water taffy for free. Of course I couldn't walk in there without getting something extra--just didn't feel right (even though they said that you didn't have to buy anything). As I looked around, I saw that they have toffee and I absolutely love toffee. The cashier said that they make their toffee in house. I would show you a picture but I ate them all--I have no self-control. Also, I wanted a magnet that said "Hyannis" on it and I was able to get it from there as well (souvenir shops are kind of few and far between in Hyannis). It was kool (hehe) to see the taffy being made--their taffy is really good. If you're in Hyannis, I highly recommend visiting Kandy Korner. read more

This is a MUST when visiting Cape Cod! Quaint shop in Barnstable. Friendly atmosphere even outside; people sitting on the bench and stairs enjoying ice cream or whatever sweets they got. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. In the back is wide selection of good quality souvenirs at decent prices. It did not feel like a tourist trap at all! If you're lucky, Paulo will be there. They have a second room that has all kinds of wonderful things, from souvenirs to last minute gifts.
