My family and I loved the variety of flavors. The ice cream was delicious. Even though the line was long, it moved quickly.

Me and my family always come every year on a trip here and I always have to make my way to The Creamery because of how good it is. It's always very busy at night but it's always worth the wait. The ice cream is so good and they give you very good portions of it. This is the 11th year I've came and we took a few breaks from the cape but we had to come back because it's our favorite place. I've been coming here since I was little and I have family who lives here so I'm always attracted back somehow. I would recommend the Sandy-Neck Snickers in a waffle cone to anyone who loves snickers. It was so good! The Adirondack chairs in yellow and blue are so iconic and the workers are so friendly here it just gives off a very nice, family friendly vibe. read more

Who wants wonderful Cape Cod ice cream, and/or even more?! This is the place to make the stop, and won't regret it. I've personally never heard of it, until I was mentioned about it. The options speaks for itself, a lot of variety and topings to choose from, which you can go basic or go with their customized offerings. There's something here for everyone, and it's okay to take your time. The layout is very nice, with the inside being fairly small, but enough to fit to order and eat outside. Plenty of chairs are provided, set up extremely nice. The colors add the whole atmosphere, and feel. Pricing is decent for what you get, and for a non-chain, come for it! read more

The most memorable ice cream so far on Cape Cod. Very nice outdoor area with colorful seating. The service was fast and the line was moving very quick. I opted for a small scoop and a waffle cone and first I thought it was a mistake because the portion was huge. However, the girl behind the counter, assure me that's the normal size for a small scoop. I opted for Truro turtle and that was the best decision ever. Give it a try ,you won't be sorry ,definitely a must if you're going to Cape Cod. read more

I have always enjoyed coming to Cape Cod Creamery, and the ice cream is consistently good. However, my visit today was disappointing. While we were there, we overheard a mother confronting one of the teenage employees about a comment he had made to her daughter. We did not hear the original comment, but it was clear from the conversation that something inappropriate had been said. The mother seemed genuinely upset, and the situation became uncomfortable for everyone in the store. Whether intentional or not, employees should be respectful and professional when interacting with customers. Hearing a parent feel the need to defend her child in front of other customers was concerning. I hope management looks into what happened and addresses it appropriately. We have always had positive experiences here, but this incident left a bad impression on our family. read more

Long lines in the summer but that is to be expected. Many fabulous flavors of hard ice cream and I personally loved the soft coffee ice cream! The shop is very neat and clean and no melted ice cream all around the counters! My only complaint is we went over one time to get sundaes. It was not well made. A hot fudge sundae should have hot fudge. There was barely any. Since we got them to go we didn't notice till we got home! Maybe check your sundae before you leave! Perhaps it may have been just the person preparing it! I will continue to go but not sure I'll order a sundae again! Make sure you try the soft coffee! It was fabulous! read more

Classic ice cream spot where you go after dinner. Visited Cape Cod for the summer and saw how long the lines were and had to try it. The line moves very quickly and the workers are so kinda and attentive. I got a small scoop of the pistachio ice cream and it was delicious! read more

The best ice cream on Cape Cod. Very friendly service and lots of options that change daily.

Delicious ice cream!!! I had a scoop of almond joy and my husband had blueberry. He said the flavor was very subtle, but still delicious. Mine was great but very rich and melted very quickly. Expect a line, but this gives you time to figure out which flavor you'd like. There's a good amount of seating on the porch or down on the lawn to enjoy your ice cream. read more

Not my #1 spot in the cape for ice cream but a close runner up. You really can't go wrong with homemade creamy ice cream. A true staple in this area! So many flavor combos it's hard to choose so multiple visits are a must. You can never have too much ice cream in your life. Staff is tentative and friendly and ready to scoop or serve you. Lots of seating outside or inside! read more

Had to try the place that came world renowned in Cape Cod ice cream! It did not disappoint. Realllllly long line around 8pm on a weeknight in Aug but it moved fairly quickly within 15 or so minutes. Lots of outdoor seating options. The ice cream was so creamy but almost fluffy like a whipped butter texture almost. Decadent and filling. The strawberry flavor was especially delicious! This was our favorite homeemade ice cream treat on the Cape. read more

Went for ice cream on a hot day. It tastes more on the style of gelato than a hard scoop ice cream. It's on the softer side so you have to eat it without letting it sit too long. It is set up to handle the long lines during summer. The employees were friendly. read more

I can't visit a new city without trying a local ice cream shop...so we snuck a visit to Cape Cod Creamery in on our way out of Cape Cod. We arrived basically right when they opened (noon is a very reasonable ice cream time, in my book!). The creamery is in a mini shopping area, so parking was ample. Not surprisingly, there was no line, which was nice, and the workers were patient with us taking in our time in deciding what we wanted. The creamery offers a plentiful variety flavors, it was really hard to choose! I was bummed that I could not split scoops in a single cup, which made my decision even harder to narrow it down to just one flavor. I ultimately landed on the pumpkin pie since it was mid-October and I wanted to bring in the season. It was tasty - nice and creamy and not an overwhelming amount of spice nor pumpkin. A well balanced scoop! My husband opted for the cheesecake, which he also enjoyed. At a little over $5 for a single scoop, and given the lack of splitting scoops, I thought the price was a bit steep - although, Cape Cod prices are a bit elevated to begin with. I will say that a single scoop was generous, though - I am glad I settled on that and not a double so I could try more flavors. The vibe in the shop was cute and quaint (very on theme for the Cape), and I'm sure with more people in the peak season, it has an even better ambience. Overall, I enjoyed my scoop at Cape Cod Creamery and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a variety of flavors on the Cape - just be prepared to have a decision made and to pay slightly more than perhaps one would expect. read more

I wish I could leave 1/2 stars because my real rating is 4.5 stars. My only complaint was that my waffle cone was stale which was a disappointment because they smelled so good (I'd be willing to try one again if I new they were fresh) and the girl scooping my ice cream really wouldn't give me any flavor recommendations (what's the most popular, what's her favorite, etc) she just kept listing the flavors. Overall I loved this place. I consider myself an ice cream snob and know it all and this place fulfilled all my ice cream wants and needs. There was a great selection of flavors, beautifully displayed. The ice cream was rich and creamy and full of flavor. Our total order included 3 scoops of ice cream, a topping and a waffle cone. It came to over $16 with tax which seemed kinda expensive to me but it is the cape. Additionally the portions are huge. I got two scoops because I wanted to try two flavors but it was way more ice cream than I needed. I would recommend getting one scoop or sharing. I had a lot of ice cream on our vacation and this was the best creamery we visited by a long shot. Plenty of seating outside! read more

I am addressing product only. I ordered a waffle cone with a scoop of black raspberry ice cream. The ice cream was just so-so and the waffle cone was so hard and thick that I think I cracked a tooth on it. I was forced to throw it away after only a few bites. What a waste of money. read more

We were on the way home back to Boston from the beach and came across this ice cream shop! I was sooo pleased with the ice cream flavor I chose, which was the caramel crunch. Best ice cream on Cape Cod! The inside is all Cape Cod themed, the flavors are cleverly named after Cape Towns, and the decor is perfect to match the Cape Cod vibe. While on vacation on the Cape, we stayed in a hotel a few doors down from the Cape Cod Creamery. We got a new puppy, and had to be "those people" on vacation, and this spot was on the walk path. Do you have any idea how annoying and awful it is to have to travel with a new puppy? And to have to interrupt your vacation to walk said puppy again and again? This place made up for it. The ice cream is delicious. I loved their mint chocolate chip. The lines are often long, but the wait is well worth it, and it's a nice, relaxing spot to grab a scoop or twenty. Sadly, it was almost 100° when we were there, and the ice cream vanished before I took any pictures (which may or may not be related to the heat. ;) read more

A very solid stop, albeit also nothing really exceptional. The frozen yogurt was really lacking in flavor, but the flavored choices were pretty good. The coconut had a piece of ice in it which also wasn't great... maybe just an off day. Ice creams were very creamy. I liked the truro turtle flaver the most. Almond joy was a good flavor too. I didn't like the blueberry flavor. There are some outdoor seatings. Also there are many adirondack chairs outside to sit and enjoy the ice cream. They have very neat restrooms. I have to say that I liked the ice cream in Sundae School slightly better, may be it is because of the flavors I picked. read more

First time there. Maybe it is a different experience being off season or we got end of barrel, but we found some of the flavors to be very icy /choppy (so much so didn't even finish) and a few to be smooth and creamy. this ice cream shop #2 on my best cape cod ice cream shops list. 1 sundae school 2 cape cod creamery 3 twin acres I only ate at these 3 ice cream shops throughout my 2 weeks visiting the cape. It's kind of skewed by my choices. There are so many cape cod creamery chains at the cape. I believe like 3 locations. I was enjoying eating Cape Cod Creamery ice cream until I looked at the ingredients - it uses food dyes that have been banned in other countries, as well as high fructose corn syrup and other junk. The chocolate mint chip, for example, uses Yellow dye 5 and Blue 1 - two of the worst. Do they really think people aren't going to eat mint ice cream unless it's green? I was surprised to learn this - because their simple packaging (I buy it at the store) implies a simpler, more natural product. I won't be consuming their ice cream again. read more

It made USA Today's list of ten best ice cream Parlors in the US. It has two locations (South Yarmouth and Hyannis), characterized by the bright blue and yellow furniture and umbrellas outside the building and some pretty darned good ice cream inside the building. You can get a freebie license plate frame with their name on it ! The flavors are uniquely named -all include the name of a Cape Cod town, so you will see flavors like Vineyard Vanilla, Cummaquid Coconut, Chappaquiddick Chocolate Chip, Woods Hole Walnut, and Barnstable Bananas Foster. The product lineup also mentions Soft Serve and Gelato, but neither was available at yesterday's visit. Our bus stopped here, and 40 people paraded in for cones and cups and sundaes. The young ladies behind the counter made short work of the line, and before long we all walked out with our colorful cold prizes. I had a small dish of their Marstons Mills Mint Chip https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cape-cod-creamery-south-yarmouth?select=84thDjN_heygk8n5Epl9Pg for $4.40 plus 30 cents more for chocolate sprinkles. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cape-cod-creamery-south-yarmouth?select=cEB1L2o4hQXBrj-KNBEG9Q Yeah, I know that's expensive but it was pretty good ice cream. It was loaded with small chocolate chips inside the ice cream and bigger chips on top of the tray that acted as a garnish. Was it the very best ice cream I ever had? Probably not, but it sure was pretty good. One more observation, the container of Allen Harbor Almond Joy (my wife's first choice) was pretty empty and all of the good stuff in the ice cream was nowhere to be seen in that sparsely populated bin. Rather than ask about a new batch, we just went to a second choice. It might not be a bad idea for the store to act a little more proactively in switching out depleted flavors. read more

There are three Cape Cod Creamery locations and while this location in South Yarmouth is smaller, it still retains the same quality of dairy products. I had the Oreo shake and it was made with their vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect shake consistency. They also have fruit shake options like strawberry, banana, and mango. There is free parking in the back in the hidden driveway. They accept cash and card. The line gets long sometimes but the staff work quickly to get the line going. read more

I'm a bougie person when it comes to food and ice cream. I'm very picky about my ice cream. In fact, the only ice cream I eat nowadays is Salt n' Straw. It's to the point where I get it delivered to me when I'm traveling. Salt n' Straw is a west coast thing. Anyway but...Cape Cod Creamery is just as good!! It is very creamy and fluffy. Mmmm, creamy... We were in search of ice cream after dinner and since it was the early spring pre-season, a lot of places were still closed for winter hibernation, waiting for the opening bell on Memorial Day. Not so at Cape Cod Creamery. The were open with blast chillers blazing ready to scoop out heaps of creamy deliciousness. 23 flavors of ice cream and 1 gelato, all named after towns on the Cape were our choices. We opted for the Orleans Oreo and the Cummaquid Coconut. At $4.25 for a small cone or cup, the scoopers put a healthy sized ball on our sugar cones. Though it was a cool evening, this was a perfect sweet & creamy ending to a nice spring day. Can't wait to come back in the summer and sip on an ice cold shake or float. read more
