Very long lines for an overhyped ice cream parlor. The ice cream has blah flavor, high fat content- but really lacking in flavor. It's usually all melty too since the place isn't air conditioned. Go to Polar Cave, Cape Cod Ice Cream, Kilwins- anywhere else. Dairy Queen is better! read more

My son's co-worker raved about Four Seas Ice cream and declared it The Best on the Cape. We made a special trip on our way in for the weekend. Gotta say, our visit lived up to the hype. Unique, delicious flavors. I chose cantaloupe and ginger. Delicious! The cantaloupe was light and refreshing - I wasn't expecting to like it, but it was fabulous. The ginger had the perfect amount of spicy ginger flavor. My only regret is not getting my scoops in a waffle cone. Service was friendly and quick. Luckily for us, we came at a quieter mid-day time. There are some tables inside or sit at several picnic tables in the back of the parking lot. read more

Simply awesome! Four Seas Ice Cream delivers exactly what you hope for--delicious ice cream, good people, and a genuine sense of community. I'm not even from the area, but we know the new owners, so we made it a point to stop by while visiting my daughter in Rhode Island. It was everything we were told it would be: simple, classic, truly delicious ice cream. What made the visit even more special was meeting a former employee who happened to be there with his daughters, proudly sharing old photos from his years working at the shop. Moments like that say everything about the heart of this place. A heartwarming experience--and absolutely delightful on the taste buds! read more

The oreo ice cream was delicious, as was the coffee ice cream. If you're feeling zany and want to order the butter crunch (?!) beware it lacks crunch (?!) There was a line out the door but it went quickly. Plenty of parking as well! Two of us ordered ice cream with a cone-- one of these cones was really fragile and not worth the extra $1.50 to have a cone. The other cone was also fragile so the employee put the first paper-wrapped cone into a second paper-wrapped cone, neglecting to mention (or realize?) there was now paper wedged between the two cones. (?????) read more

The help is welcoming the ice cream is the best we are now going on our 4th generation of Four Seas worshippers! Delicious homemade ice cream with a variety of different flavors but don't ask for sprinkles. The cones were reasonably priced. Depending on when you go, be prepared for a wait though the staff works pretty quickly. There seemed to be seating inside but it was pretty small. Not the best ice cream on the Cape but it definitely hit the spot! read more

Massachusetts consumes the most ice cream per capita in the USA, by a margin of 2:1. This shop, I think is the reason. Continuously operated since the Kennedy brothers were playing tag football on Craigville beach and baby Teddy was in cloth diapers. Thumbing their nose at rapacious corporate robber barons of Brigham's, the shop inspired a long progression of pale imitators -- Turner's, Emack and Bolio's, Steve's, Ben and Jerry's -- so many pretenders to the throne of the best in the world. Come to this shop and discover the peak ice cream experience. Enjoy the photos on the wall of generations of teens and their first jobs, from the sixties to the present. Chat with the friendly staff if you can catch a moment when there's not a line out the front door. Pick up a whole cooler full of quarts, they'll give you a free bag of ice. Snag one of the cool logo attire. What ARE the four seas? The shirts have the answer and it's not what you think! Check around the back where there's a quiet garden in the shade, enjoy your cone, have a frappe, regret the moment you reach the bottom of your bowl. read more

Really yummy and totally lived up to the hype! I got the strawberry, and it was so fresh -- like real strawberries churned right into the scoop. Creamy, light, and full of flavor without being overly sweet. Classic old-school ice cream shop vibes, friendly staff, and a perfect stop on a sunny Cape Cod day. Can't wait to go back and try more flavors! read more

Heard about this place from a friend in Vermont so we drove a bit to find it but it was worth it! Extremely efficient staff and friendly. Four of us had different flavors and we all loved it. Nice and creamy! Next time we are at the Cape we will be back! read more

The ice cream here is top notch- decided to stop in for lunch, and after ordering, could not get anybody to stop by our table. Ended up bussing my own table to make a clean space for the ice cream which we had to get up and go to the ice cream counter for (instead of the waitress coming to our table to take the order). A very strange experience. I understand when one hires high schoolers, they might be new to the job and such, but there didn't seem to be any oversight. The good news is that there is no shortage of great ice cream spots on the cape... read more

The BEST ice cream you'll ever have in your life! This is MUST visit the next time you're in Cape Cod. The flavors are always 10/10. The service is top notch too. It can get pretty busy, but don't let that deter you from ordering as the line usually moves pretty fast. They offer some other food options and there's a small seating area inside, but we usually ate outside to enjoy the fresh air. read more

I was skeptical- if I had a dollar for every time someone said they knew of "the best" ice cream place... I'd be rich. This was the best scoop of chocolate chip ice cream I've ever had. Ever. And I've had quite a few... just ask my doctor. Creamy, speckled with little delicious pieces of chocolate throughout. Almost like magical sparkling chocolate stardust. YUM! 10/10 would go again. read more

Best ice cream on cape! I have been going here since I was a child. It is quintessential and the best homemade ice cream. They have a large selection of flavors, but they do rotate. Some of our favorites are black raspberry, butter crunch, peppermint stick and cantaloupe. It can get busy on summer nights, so be prepared for a line...but it's worth the wait. read more

This place is great! Quality is amazing. What's not to like about excellent ice cream?

Four Seas has been around for generations, so they tell me. All kind of ice cream options. Walk up service, they take your order, you wait, they deliver. It's so crowded in the summer the lot is full and there are plenty of people milling around to talk to. Great summer ice cream event! read more

Might I make a suggestion? I've been a purveyor of Four Seas for over 10yrs and my crew are fanatics when it comes to mint chip ice cream. Nothing compares to your pink mint chip hot fudge sundae until yesterday. Our group collectively noticed (a) a hint of ice/freeze flavor in the ice cream (like it thawed and refroze) and more telling (b) the chocolate chips we're now those standard types you get in a bag at the store vs previously nice chunks. It makes a big difference. Did the recipe change under new ownership? Can you please, please, go back to the original recipe? read more

Oh Four Seas, I just adore you and all your homemade ice creamy goodness. You haven't changed much in the last twenty years and I'm so very thankful for that. Your sorbet continues to be my favorite on the Cape, or really anywhere. Last week I had ordered the Lemon Sorbet and ohmygosh it was good. So good. But I have to say, and I'm sure many others would agree, your prices have gone up considerably and your portions are a bit small... and inconsistent. Two of us ordered medium dishes of ice cream and they were definitely not the same size. This may be Covid related, or it may just be the teenagers behind the counter that spend their summer scoopin' -- but I do wish I had a bit more sorbet for a little less $$. Until next time, Alyssa R. read more

Ice cream is okay, but they REALLY need to get organized. It's chaotic to get to the point of placing your order, as there is no real system for moving people through the place. When I finally got my turn, I ordered a sundae with caramel, and it seemed to take forever for them to actually add the caramel. Once they did, there was so little caramel that I asked if they could add more. I won't be back. read more

My husband and I visited Boston for a long weekend getaway and decided to stop by Four Seas Ice Cream during our trip. What a treat! The ice cream was fantastic--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Came here because of the hype - left disappointed. Only open Saturdays during the off season. Everything is prepackaged. Got a cup of ice cream. Had a layer of ice on it which defiantly took away from the taste. Wouldn't avoid - but not rushing back. Wouldn't wait in line for it. read more

This Ice Cream parlor is the best thing going! We went in and I ordered my cone, not realizing that they made their own waffle cones. How can this be? My favorite childhood ice cream shop still looks the same. For 30 years it was always good. But our last visit... The worker didn't exaclty know how to make a black and white soda.. so he asked. Fine. But I knew this wasn't a good sign. I've taken people here for so many years.. Everyone said they never had an b&w soda so good. Our ice cream sodas we left with we pretty much couldn't drink! Whatever liquid they used to make tasted like something terrible. The always delicious vanilla ice cream wasn't the same-- hardly any scoops given in the soda at all, but what there was was full of ice chunks, not creamy and no more that good vanilla flavor. The price for 3 was insane. I should have gone back to tell them but didn't have the heart. I hope they do see this though and get their act back together for next season. read more

Amazing ice cream and the best bang for your buck lobster roll I've ever had! Love the old school vibe inside!

Was just okay, but the price is what shocked us. These two little cups cost $15. A small sundae and a pre-packed dairy free cup. Good thing there are tourists because it's not something locals could afford on a regular basis. The handful of people in line proves that point. Other ice cream places have lines 30-40 people long. read more

They have INCREDIBLE ice cream and fantastic hot fudge. It's worth the wait, no matter how long the line is.
