When my family is on vacation on cape cod nauset ice cream is part of the experience. Great flavors with outstanding service from friendly people make the experience truly memorable. Most cape dining experiences leave you cringing on the value and cost. Nauset is down home old school great value ice cream. Many homemade flavors with different options for all tastes. All within the confines of your wallet. Great value for the money. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

4 different ice creams ordered and 5 different opinions when we were done. First thing we noticed is the line. It was an early evening on July 2nd and the line was "out the door". Of course, we had to check it out. After waiting a short time, we were able to enter and place our orders. The wait staff was very pleasant and easy going. Our choices for size were kiddie, small and regular. Like most places, the kiddie is a small, a small is a large and a regular is an xl. We all had ice cream in a cup with a spoon and went outside to enjoy it. There are 4 tables with 4-5 chairs to sit and enjoy after ordering, which was very nice! I had the coffee heath bar, which was good but not the best I have had. It is hard not to love ice cream but for some reason the taste was not overwhelming. The Peanut butter Oreo and Cookie Dough were reported to be excellent! Finally, the mint chocolate chip was not a big hit. It did not have enough chocolate chips and the color was not green (not saying it has to be green because I have seen it before) but it was not very tasty, too! I gave 4 stars for the two complaints Plenty of parking Price was fair Service was excellent with a smile Line did not take too long

Ice cream itself is nothing to call home about, but they have a lot of flavors and are definitely not shy with their mix ins. Coffee Oreo is super packed with cookies, as are all their choc chip flavors, and the coconut almond chip is lowkey more nuts and chocolate than ice cream but I'm not complaining. The portions are large and definitely worth the price. A kiddie can have two flavors and is comparable in size to a Ben & Jerry's small? Maybe? For 2/3 the price. They also have lids for cups, which is so appreciated!!

Nauset Ice Cream is a creamery that opened in Eastham, Massachusetts in 1998. It was founded by Joanne Cremins. The ice cream is made fresh on a daily basis. They have over 30 different flavors to choose from on any given day. In addition to their regular selection of ice cream, Nauset Ice Cream also offers frozen drinks, ice cream sodas, frozen yogurt, sorbet and sugar free/low fat ice cream flavors. My wife, son and I visited Nauset Ice Cream last week while we were on a week-long family vacation in Cape Cod. We visited in the early evening hours for an after dinner treat. They place was hopping; a small line was out the door and there were several customers eating outside. After scanning the menu, my wife decided on a cup of Caramel Sea Salt with Heath Bar chunks. She was very happy with her decision. I ordered my favorite: Mint Chip. Although most creameries serve Mint Chip ice cream that is green, Nauset Ice Cream serves there's the traditional way: white. That's right, green mint chip ice cream is dyed that way with food coloring. For this alone, Nauset Ice Cream already earned several bonus points with me. My wife and I both agreed that they have some of the best ice cream we ever had! We'll definitely be back when we make future trips to Cape Cod.

We love great ice cream and whenever we travel we are always in search of the local stores that might make the " best" ice cream in a particular neighborhood. When we were in Cape Cod, we heard about Nauset Ice Cream and word was that their homemade ice cream was spectacular! We made a date to visit their store and sampled five different flavors . Our favorite was Ginger Ice Cream! It was indeed spectacular. We also loved their purple cow and their coffee ice cream as well as their pistachio and coffee flavors. I'm only sorry we couldn't figure out how to keep their ice cream frozen for our 7 hour ride hone!

I will go back and test more flavors this week, have spent a week so far on the Cape and this was the creamiest ice cream so far! And I have been testing LOL. Worth your while to checkout. Generous single and nice staff. Tables outside. Two big thumbs up!

This pic was taken at dinner time, a good time to go.

I ordered a #3 turkey, roasted red pepper and pesto sandwich with a medium hot chocolate. Both were delicious! I was able to get a seat on the side. Inside is tight but a medium amount of seating. My food came out in about 5-10 minutes. The sandwich was delicious I just wish it was a little bite bigger but okay size for ~$10. The hot chocolate was also delicious but a little pricey ~$6. Overall so yummy and was fun to pick out some chocolate and try some goodies!

This is a hard place to rate. Is it a candy shop? Or is it a coffee shop? Actually it's both. For…read moresure they do an active business in the well stocked candy section and they make some very good chocolates. But most of the customers, myself included, seem to want it to be a coffee shop, a relaxing place to enjoy some coffee, some time with your devices, your book, or in conversation with friends. And there's nothing else nearby that fits the bill, so by defacto this is it. Unfortunately in this area it falls flat. Its interior more resembles a retail store than a cozy place to hang out with its closely spaced tables among merchandise shelves, a commercial feel, and it's been noisy and crowded every time I've been there.. My coffee, a standard small black, was good, and locally roasted, but loses points for being served in a paper cup that I fill for myself at the urn. For specialty drinks you get a number and wait to be called to the pickup window, the several waiting customers contributing to the noise and crowding. For me, a a big part of a coffee shop's overall rating is the quality of their pastries and sweets. Here's where they especially failed for me. They have many such items - an unusually large number actually, mostly slices of various cakes. But none are made in house, nobody could or would tell me who made them, and they were priced at up to and exceeding $12! That's not just high for a coffee shop, that's restaurant prices. At least in a restaurant your slice might be decorated with some fruit drizzle, whipped cream or ice cream and a cherry. But a sad slab of cake, naked on a plate made by who knows, for twelve dollars? No thanks. So instead I went over to the candy side. They have a large selection of chocolates, caramels, truffles, candied fruit slices, fudge, meltaways, all the usual forms, and all made by them. And every one that I have tried has been delicious. Before ordering my coffee I went to the counter, ordered four individual chocolates from the vast selection, and for under $5, sweets in hand, I got my coffee then went outside to the picnic area to relax. But even the outside wasn't so relaxing. It is a crowded, busy parking lot, and the picnic table is next to a Dumpster.

Tonight I made them go, i said give it a chance. Well I am fully on the kids' side now. It is really sub par. Super expensive. Half hearted service. Slow. No samples - which for these prices is bizarre. Only okay ice cream. It makes me sad. I wan't to be faithful to the old place --but we will absolutely never go back. 100 yards away is a happy, peppy ice cream store with slew of flavors and carefully made well scooped cones. My kid got a root beer float at Emack tonight. I think it was 9 dollars. A teeny non ball mush of ice cream dumped at the base of a small plastic cup and a can of soda. It was worse than getting fast food. I mean what? My other kid got a small cone. I tipped the servers and left $20 dollars poorer. You must be kidding me. It is like they want to go out of business. But then the food situation is complicated - some years they have it and some years they don't. And you never know. And when they have it it's great.
