Bäkehaus also offers loaves of rye bread and a plethora of sandwiches with a German twist (I spotted a pork schnitzel sandwich with cranberry sauce on ciabatta for £3.99!), so why not grab something here for lunch instead of opting for a pricey sandwich from Pret or a sad sandwich from Tesco? It's located on the high street just minutes away from the Tube station, so you really don't have an excuse.

When I came in to pick up the cupcakes there were a few hiccups. First, they tried to charge me more than what is advertised on the website (a dozen cupcakes for £25) and then the card terminal stopped working. When the woman told me how much I owed for the cupcakes, I was surprised because it was more than I expected. I mentioned to her that the website advertises a discounted price for a dozen cupcakes. She was unaware of this so she called the manager to confirm. The manager then suggested that I should have included the 'special pricing' in my email. (Hrmm, I'm not sure if I agree with that.) In the end, they honored the discounted pricing (as they should have), but they should have not tried to charge me extra in the first place! How were the cupcakes, you ask? The pistachio and coconut cupcakes were a hit!
