It is nothing fancy so no treat to your eyes. Now mouth and stomach are a different story. Was told by a good judge of cream chip beef that it is one of the best CCB's around. I tried it and may order on next visit. I am a fan of the home fries but I am a very poor judge of food, so i have been told. I like my food to stand on its own. Home fries are best when there just good potatoes cooked with some crispy parts not with several things that hide the taste of the potato. I like food to arrive fairly bland meaning not a lot of salt, pepper, onion, green pepper, parsley and whatever else a cook can find to make a dish so very special. I had a pork roll and cheese sandwich which had bread, pork roll and cheese. Made me very happy. Located in a small plaza at the intersections of RTS 115 & 940 next to Ahart's groceries, state liquor store, and gas across the street so satisfy all of your wants in 1 stopping area. We were greeted and seated immediately at a table but there are booths and a few high stools to watch the cooking show going on right in front of you. I went with the Country Breakfast, a biscuit topped with a perfectly fried chicken breast, sausage gravy, home fries, and 2 eggs. Coffee was served in a heavy mug, great to hang on to and sip away. The food came right off the grill so it was piping hot. My other half went with creamed chipped beef over a biscuit, plated with home fries, and also pronounced it good. We will return which is the best compliment becasuse that means that everything was right the first time, good service, good quality food, and priced accordingly. Try it soon. read more

It's less than a mile off of 80W and worth the detour. Served a HUGE cup of tea from the sweetest waitress ever got us off to a good start. I have three words for you pancakes, pancakes, pancakes. We had both banana and chocolate chip pancakes and my boys devoured them. The menu has a ton of greasy diner favorites and a lot of choices. This was a thawing out experience after a frigid weekend in Hickory Run State Park. We found this place via places near us on the phone. We were ecstatic to come into to this warm, family style restaurant with a fast diner feel. We were promptly served and recommended different plates and dishes. I ordered the messy mike sandwich on a bagel with scrapple. Yee haw! After a weekend camping, that dense and flavorful bagel sandwich was exactly what I needed. We ended up bellying up to the counter and were greeted by Nicole. She was so sweet, constant smile and just a great gal! We found this place and liked the yelp reviews so we thought we'd check it out. This place does a good business! They were bush, but we were seated right away and service was good. My husband had the Twisted Messy special and it was good. I had the stuffed French toast with eggs and it was really good too. Our kids also loved their pancakes and French toast. Today was the first of many weekends in the Pocono where we will eat breakfast. Chat and chew never disappoints. Today there is extra atmosphere, the staff are dressed as elf's and Santa will be having breakfast with kids. My husband has his usual southern eggs benedict which are slathered with sausage gravy. I am on a great run of restaurants I've found on Yelp, and the Chat 'n Chew is right up there. One of the top 5 breakfasts I've ever had, and all very simple, exactly what you want from your breakfast joint. Wife had an omelette and I had eggs over easy, both done perfect, and let's face it, not everyone can make perfect eggs over easy. The home fries were thinly sliced potatoes that were very flavorful and the coffee good too. Service was terrific, took the place from 4 to 5 stars, the staff actually appeared to be having fun.
