Quality sleep is everything to me so I was also pleased the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen by far was my favorite part of the Penthouse. I travel for work so the Penthouse was a great weekend alternative to hotel lodging. I will definitely stay at the Birmingham Penthouse again and at any Utopia Suites locations.

George the property manager is very courteous when I need advice. To me, personally speaking the team is great! I live in a semi gated Townhouse dwelling and it's safe here, the neighbors so friendly no crime to my knowledge and no drama. Even though I'm renting, I told George I would like to be the first perspective buyer if it go on the market. He obliged and said will let me know. Hopefull I will be a longstanding tenant. I treat this propery like it is my own with respect. I retired from New York and lived in Charlotte going on two years. Grew up in a house and this one here feels so close to home!

Now, Bottom Line is raising my rent, charging extra fees which doesn't make sense like paying for their internet for the company to use, and they are charging me an extra month on my rent. My original lease started on 8/15 & ended 8/31. This new lease starts on July 1 so why am I losing a month? I tried calling these people and they either doesn't answer, passing you on to other people who does not return calls. I would mess with this company in any kind of way.

It is an interesting old clapperboard motel eminiscent of the fifties. It is a little shabby in places but nothing much to worry about and the standard is reflected in the cost. It is a really cheap place to stay in this lovely peninsula. The rooms are very large and house a kitchen complete with full oven, a massive fridge you would expect to find in home town America and even a microwave for warming up those goodies after a days surfing or walking along the long, spotlessly clean beach.

This horrible company bought a rental house I lived in. When the lease ended, they illegally tried…read moreto keep my 2 month security deposit in its entirety. I had to call a lawyer for advice, and as they violated NC law by failing to follow procedure, they had to return the entire deposit. The check they sent me bounced, and the bank charged me. They wired money in to replace it, which added fees to my account as well. The water line in the rental property was broken and resulted in over $500 in extra water bills in my name, which the city will refund if the property provides a statement that it's been fixed, and they won't do that either. This means another lawyer fee for me to get this money back. They are total slumlords and sleazeballs and I am so glad I didn't get stuck in a lease with these crooks as it would be a nightmare. Awful.
