I think the carne asada ones were my favorite. All of the meat portions were generous and flavorful. The sauces and toppings were delicious and added the needed acidity to the fattiness of the meat. There was lots to choose from, and the mango alcoholic drink that's in the picture was so freaking delicious, lol. I forgot the name. We ordered and didn't have to wait too long for our food. Everything was yummy and tasty. It cooked perfect. I ordered the chilaquiles, which normally has an egg and steak in it, but here they don't and charge you for them, which to me is ridiculous. It was ok, but I'm not a fan of it being small. The waitress did forget my esquite, but we just got it to go, so no worries. We had a great experience and wouldn't mind coming back, especially for that mango beverage.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing…read more My friends and I visited this restaurant to celebrate a very important milestone in one of our lives. We arrived around 6:58 PM and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. It took approximately 45 minutes before our order was even taken. During an earlier attempt to place our order, our server stopped in the middle of assisting us and stated, "Oh wait, I need to go give this other table their beers first." Throughout the evening, it was difficult to find our server whenever we needed anything. To make matters more frustrating, my partner and I only ordered guacamole and queso, items that are typically considered appetizers and generally do not require a lengthy preparation time. Despite this, our order still never arrived, even while the other members of our party had ordered full meals. After waiting nearly an hour, we decided we no longer wished to remain at the restaurant. It is important to note that the restaurant was not particularly busy at the time, although staff appeared to be beginning closing procedures on one side of the restaurant despite us arriving well before closing. I requested to speak with a manager. After explaining our concerns, his response was simply, "Do you want me to check on the food?" By that point, I was traveling and no longer had additional time to wait, so I informed him that we would just like to leave. What was most disappointing was that the manager never returned to speak with us afterward. Instead, our server came back and handed us a check for our drinks and queso, which we paid without issue. Additionally, shortly after we received the complimentary chips and salsa, the server asked whether we were actually going to order anything, which came across as though she assumed we had only come in for free chips and salsa. As someone who has spent more than 10 years in management and currently serves in a director-level position in healthcare, I understand that delays can happen. However, communication, professionalism, and managerial accountability are essential. The lack of follow-up and concern shown during this experience was unacceptable. As people of color dining in this establishment, the experience unfortunately left us questioning whether race may have played a role in how we were treated. I cannot say that definitively, but it certainly contributed to how uncomfortable and unwelcome we felt. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and one that should prompt management to evaluate both service standards and how concerns from guests are addressed.

I tried the fajitas with rice and beans, and I also tried the fried ice cream. Let me tell you that was the best combination ever. And it's not often I do try fried ice cream, but I like this one particularly it had the crunchiness and the softness of the food and I loved every bit of it.And also, the chips and queso were the chef's kiss. I have no complaints about this place. I cannot wait to come back here again. And this time I'm bringing friends and my boyfriend. So if you have not tried this place yet, I encourage you to I have to say in all Evans so far they have the best Mexican food ever.

MY RATING SYSTEM 5/4 = Exceeds expectations…read more3 = Meets expectations 2/1 = Does not meet expectations OVERALL POINTS RATING 0 - 5 1. AMBIANCE = 3 It is an ok environment. Plenty of space between tables. Two different rooms with tables. Colorful displays. But the rooms are tired and industrial looking. Entrance area should be improved to create a different curb appeal. Looks like a dive. 2. FOOD/DRINKS = 3 There were 4 of us. I had beef tacos which were good. I order the tortilla soup and was disappointed. It was hot but to salty for my taste. My expectations is that the ingredients would be something I added. But all of it was in the soup and in general not appetizing and was way to hot to enjoy. plus $8.00 was a high price for a low quality soup. Would not order soup. The other diner was not satisfied as the meal was Luke warm. The other two diners felt meals met expectations and enjoyed them. 3. SERVICE = 3 There was only one person who handles serving and taking care payments. We were only people in the restaurant so not sure how well it would go with larger crowd. Did a decent job of managing our order and food delivery. 4. BATHROOM = NA 5. PRICING = 3 Normal pricing structure for Mexican resteraunt food. $3.50 tacos. $13 to $14 other meals. Soup is over priced. 6. OBSERVATION Parking lot is dirt and entrance is a rough not smooth. Signage not great. It is an out the way area. It was dark when we went so it was hard tell what it was. We went with person who knew of the place. I would not dissuade anyone from going. I would give it another try. 7. POINTS 12 out of 25 points. 20 to 25 = Exceeds expectations. = NA 10 to 19 = Meets expectations. = 12 0 to 9 = Does not meet expections.

I ordered the vegetarian fajitas, and they were fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. While the portion size was a bit smaller than what I've experienced at some Mexican restaurants outside of downtown, the pricing was fair given the location. The service was exceptional, with a friendly and attentive staff that made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for good Mexican food, excellent service, and a pleasant dining experience in downtown Augusta.
